An object is to solve problems associated with a stretchable wire member that includes, for example, a garment with stretchable wires formed thereon, that is, to solve the problems of wrinkles and undulations that often occur after the garment is stretched. A stretchable wire member includes a fabric; a base layer disposed on a surface of the fabric; a conductive layer disposed in part of the fabric, the conductive layer being on a surface of the base layer; and a protective layer covering the conductive layer. In the stretchable wire member, an elastic modulus E′3 of a multilayer body portion including the fabric, the base layer, and the protective layer ranges from 1 MPa to 6 MPa.

The knitted component may include a first knitted portion and a second knitted portion, where the first knitted portion at least partially forms at least one of a medial side, a lateral side, and a toe area of the upper, and where the second knitted portion forms a tongue area of the upper. The second knitted portion may include a first end and a second end where one of the first end is secured to the first knitted portion via a common knit structure.

A CIRCULAR KNITTING MACHINE FOR MANUFACTURING OPEN-WORK KNITTED FABRIC
20220186412 · 2022-06-16 · ·

A circular knitting machine for manufacturing open-work knitted fabric includes a crown arranged around a needle-holding cylinder and having a plurality of radial grooves and a guiding ring operatively associated to the crown. Each of a plurality of knockover sinkers is housed in one of the radial grooves, is radially movable in the respective radial groove and has a pin configured for cooperating with the needles. At least one shaped sinker is placed beside each of the knockover sinkers and is movable with respect to the respective knockover sinker. The shaped sinker has a protrusion offset laterally with respect to the respective knockover sinker and configured for elongating an interstitch, arranging it on an adjacent needle and forming an open work. A selector is operatively coupled with the shaped sinker and is oscillating in a radial plane between a rest position and an operating position, wherein in the operating position the selector acts indirectly upon the shaped sinker so as to deviate the trajectory of the shaped sinker. A selecting actuator faces laterally the crown and can be engaged upon command with the selectors for causing the selectors to switch from the rest position to the operating position.

Multiple layer knitted components having multi-bed area

In one aspect of the disclosure, a knitted component for use in an article of footwear may include a first layer with a multi-bed first area having a first surface and an opposite facing second surface. The knitted component may include a second layer with a second area overlapping the first area. The second area may have a first surface and an opposite facing second surface. The knitted component may include a plurality of interlayer knit stitches interlooping at least one yarn of the first layer with at least one yarn of the second layer at an interface between the second surfaces of the first and second areas. The interior surfaces of the first area and the second area may define at least part of a freely separable area between the first and second areas.

Article with at least one layered pod

In one aspect, the present disclosure provides knitted component comprising with a first surface and a second surface, the first surface facing opposite the second surface. A pod may have the first surface and the second surface, and an edge region may have the first surface and the second surface, where the edge region at least partially demarcates the pod. A first yarn may substantially form the first surface of the pod, where the first yarn is a fusible yarn. A second yarn may substantially form the second surface of the pod, and the second yarn may substantially form the first surface of the edge region.

A shaped sinker (1) for knitting machines includes a main horizontal body (2), destined to be slidingly housed inside a radial groove of a sinker-holding crown of a knitting machine and having a main longitudinal development between a rear portion (2A) and a front portion (2B); an upright (3) developing vertically from the main body near the front portion (2B) and ending on top with an upper portion (4) defining an upper resting plane (30) destined to receive one or more yarns resting thereupon during stitch formation; and a protrusion (6) rising from the upper portion of the upright, developing towards the front portion of the main body and having on top a sliding plane (60). The protrusion rises from the upper portion of the upright so that the sliding plane is moved forward with respect to the upper resting plane of the upright. The protrusion is laterally offset or inclined with respect to the upright, from which it rises, and is configured for loading and stretching an interstitch and arrange it on an adjacent needle of the knitting machine so as to form an open work. The sliding plane of the protrusion is lowered with respect to the upper resting plane of the upright.
