Multiple layer knitted components having multi-bed area

In one aspect of the disclosure, a knitted component for use in an article of footwear may include a first layer with a multi-bed first area having a first surface and an opposite facing second surface. The knitted component may include a second layer with a second area overlapping the first area. The second area may have a first surface and an opposite facing second surface. The knitted component may include a plurality of interlayer knit stitches interlooping at least one yarn of the first layer with at least one yarn of the second layer at an interface between the second surfaces of the first and second areas. The interior surfaces of the first area and the second area may define at least part of a freely separable area between the first and second areas.

Reflective knit article

A knit fabric is created using on a flatbed knitting machine to create a whole garment having an inner surface and an outer surface. The knit fabric includes a support matrix comprised of base yarns with reflective yarns supported on the support matrix. The knit fabric comprises a jacquard knit structure formed from the base yarns and the reflective yarns, wherein elongate loops of the reflective yarns are outwardly exposed from the outer surface of the knit fabric. The inner surface of the knit fabric includes outwardly exposed floats of the reflective yarns.

Upper-torso garment with tubular-jacquard knit structure

An upper-torso garment includes a tubular-jacquard knit structure within a chest-covering portion. The tubular-jacquard knit structure includes interlocked courses formed by each front-stitch course intermittently interlocking with a back-stitch course. The tubular-jacquard knit structure is divided into a plurality of zones across the chest-covering portion, and the zones may include different versions of the tubular-jacquard knit structure based on how front-stitch courses interlock with back-stitch courses.

Brushed circular knitted fabric

A brushed circular knitted fabric has double loops stacked with at least two kinds of synthetic fiber multifilaments, wherein at least one surface of the circular knitted fabric has undergone brush processing, and the FT index represented by the equation (T2/T1) [T1: thickness (of one layer) according to a method prescribed by JIS, T2: thickness according to the same method prescribed by JIS at a state where the fabric is folded in two] is 2.1 or greater. The brushed circular knitted fabric has resiliency feeling and stretchability suitable for use in a coat or jacket, and is excellent in physical properties such as pilling resistance and changes in dimensions with washing.

A 3D shoe blank is an integral knit fabric without any sewn portion made by a flat knitting machine and includes an upper portion knitted from at least a yarn, a front sole portion knitted from the upper portion with a folding line therebetween and two connection lines at two sides of the front sole portion and the upper portion, so the front sole portion is folded and connected to the upper portion to form a pocket structure, a rear portion knitted from the front sole portion, and a heel portion extending from a center rear end of the rear portion, two opposite sides of the heel portion respectively connected to a left rear end and a right rear end of the rear portion to form a 3D rear shoe portion with two joining lines between the heel portion and the rear portion on the two opposite sides.

A METHOD OF ACTUATION USING KNIT-CONSTRAINED PNEUMATICS

A pneumatic textile system capable of transforming from a two-dimensional structure to a three-dimensional structure under pneumatic pressure is provided. The pneumatic textile system includes a seamless knit fabric having a grid configuration defining a plurality of grid areas—a first of the plurality of grid areas having a tensile strength that is different from a second of the plurality of grid areas. A pneumatic bladder member is disposed along at least a portion of a boundary between adjacent ones of the plurality of grid areas and is inflatable to exert a force on the seamless knit fabric, wherein upon inflation of the pneumatic bladder member the force is exerted on the seamless knit fabric such that the first of the plurality of grid area assumes a shape different than the second of the plurality of grid areas resulting in a three-dimensional structure transformation.

STERILE KNITTED FABRIC AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

A sterile knitted fabric is provided. The sterile knitted fabric is made by the following steps: First, a plurality of nano far infrared antibacterial yarns and a plurality of bamboo charcoal hollow yarns are provided. Next, the nano far infrared antibacterial yarns are interwoven with the bamboo charcoal hollow yarn by a circular knitting machine to form a grey fabric. Next, the grey fabric is through a scouring process to form a scoured fabric. Next, the scoured fabric is through a setting process. The scoured fabric is moved 25 meters per minute for the setting process.

Knitted cushion regions

An upper may include a knitted component having a first surface and a second surface. The knitted component may include at least one integrally knitted cushion region located on the second surface. The cushion region may include a plurality of non-planar structures that project away from the second surface of the knitted component by at least 1 mm, and the cushion region may be located in a rearfoot region of the upper.

Upper-torso garment with three-dimensional knit structures

An upper-torso garment includes a chest-covering portion having a knit textile region, which includes a plurality of courses fully spanning a dome-shaped portion. In addition, the knit textile region includes a plurality of partial-length courses partially spanning the dome-shaped portion.
