The invention relates to a knitting needle, in particular for producing knitwear with cable patterns, having at least one rigid needle tip and a shank on which the knitwear can be arranged at least regionally. The invention now proposes that the shank consist at least regionally of a material that is reversibly plastically deformable by bending in very different directions, wherein the transition between the shank and needle tip is flush and smooth. Furthermore, the invention proposes a method for producing such a knitting needle.

A knitting needle or knitting needle assembly may include a braided metal cable having opposite ends, with first and second cylindrical members coupled to the opposite ends, respectively. Each of the cylindrical members may have a respective longitudinal axis extending along a cylindrical body thereof. At least one of the first and second cylindrical members may be coupled to its respective end of the cable such that the cylindrical member swivels about its longitudinal axis with respect to the cable to permit relative rotation between the respective cylindrical member and the cable. Additionally, the cylindrical member may define a first radially extending surface that prevents axial translation of the cable with respect to the cylindrical member while permitting relative rotation of the cylindrical member about the cable.

Apparatuses, systems, and methods are disclosed for a counting crochet hook. An apparatus comprises a handle. The apparatus includes an elongate rod comprising a first end and second end, the first end coupled to the handle and the second end comprising a hook that is pointed with a lateral groove behind the hook. The apparatus further comprises a first button disposed on the handle. The first button is configured to increment a first counter when actuated. The apparatus additionally comprises a second button disposed on the handle. The second button is configured to increment a second counter when actuated. The apparatus also comprises a display disposed on the handle for displaying a value of the first counter and a value of the second counter.

A knitting needle is disclosed, which may include at least one needle member having a tip end and a connector end opposite the tip end, with the needle member having a longitudinal axis extending between the tip end and the connector end. The knitting needle may further include a cable having opposite ends, and a selectively lockable swivel connector joining one of the opposite ends of the cable to the connector end of the needle member. The selectively lockable swivel connector may include a first connector member defining a bore, a second connector member received in the bore, and a radially resilient locking member disposed about the second connector member and received in the bore. The radially resilient locking member may define first and second annular faces at opposite ends of the locking member, respectively.

A knitting needle is disclosed, which may include at least one needle member having a tip end and a connector end opposite the tip end, with the needle member having a longitudinal axis extending between the tip end and the connector end. The knitting needle may further include a cable having opposite ends, and a selectively lockable swivel connector joining one of the opposite ends of the cable to the connector end of the needle member. The selectively lockable swivel connector may include a first connector member defining a bore, a second connector member received in the bore, and a radially resilient locking member disposed about the second connector member and received in the bore. The radially resilient locking member may define first and second annular faces at opposite ends of the locking member, respectively.

A needle member for use as a knitting needle and methods of making the same are disclosed. An example needle member may be formed of a metallic material and include a solid tip end and a connecting end opposite the tip end. The connecting end may have a threaded portion configured to be selectively secured to a flexible cable by rotating the needle member relative to the cable, and a solid body extending longitudinally from the solid tip end to the connecting end which defines a needle grip aperture. The needle grip aperture may be fixed within the solid body relative to the threaded portion of the connecting end. An interchangeable knitting needle set may be provided, which includes a plurality of needle members and different length cables for selectively connecting two of the needle members to create different knitting needles having different lengths or needle diameters.

A needle member for use as a knitting needle and methods of making the same are disclosed. An example needle member may be formed of a metallic material and include a solid tip end and a connecting end opposite the tip end. The connecting end may have a threaded portion configured to be selectively secured to a flexible cable by rotating the needle member relative to the cable, and a solid body extending longitudinally from the solid tip end to the connecting end which defines a needle grip aperture. The needle grip aperture may be fixed within the solid body relative to the threaded portion of the connecting end. An interchangeable knitting needle set may be provided, which includes a plurality of needle members and different length cables for selectively connecting two of the needle members to create different knitting needles having different lengths or needle diameters.

A yarn holder, knitting station, and kit include a base with suction cups to be secured on a surface. A yarn support spinning plate is mounted on the base in spinning relation to the base. A yarn rod is connected to the plate for holding yarn around the rod.
