Pickup device for picking up a knitted tubular manufacture from a circular knitting machine for hosiery or the like and for transferring it to a unit adapted to perform additional operations on the manufacture
A pickup device for picking up a knitted tubular manufacture from a circular knitting machine for hosiery or the like and for transferring it to a unit adapted to perform additional operations on the manufacture, comprising an annular pickup body that supports a plurality of pickup elements, which are arranged radially around the axis of the pickup body and can slide with respect to the pickup body along radial directions; the pickup body can be arranged coaxially around the needle cylinder of a circular knitting machine for hosiery or the like, with each one of the pickup elements laterally facing a needle of the machine; actuation means are provided which act on the pickup elements for their movement along the radial directions at least from a first position, in which the pickup elements are closer to the axis of the pickup body, to a second position.

Sheared wool fleece and method for making sheared wool fleece utilizing yarn knitting
A method of making a sheared wool, deep pile fabric that closely resembles natural sheepskin fleece, that includes forming a yarn made from wool fibers and simultaneously knitting the yarn and a scrim together, where the yarn is attached to and extends from the scrim to form a length of wool pile fabric having natural wool fibers on one side and the scrim on an opposing side. The method includes finishing the wool pile fabric as natural sheepskin by polishing the wool fiber side of the pile fabric by guiding the length of pile fabric over plural heated polishing rolls, where at least two of the plural heated polishing rolls rotate in opposite directions, and cutting the wool fibers to a designated length.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR REVERSING A TUBULAR KNITTED ARTICLE IN A CIRCULAR KNITTING MACHINE
A method for reversing a tubular knitted article (S) is disclosed. According to the method, the tubular knitted article (S), engaged at a first end thereof by a pick-up device (5) and hanging with a second end thereof from the pick-up device, is introduced in a reversing tube (15). The reversing tube (15) is moved through the pick-up device (5) so as to project with the upper end (15B) thereof above the pick-up device; and the reversing tube (15) is moved reciprocatingly up and down between an upper position and a lower position, while co-acting with a top clamping device (31) and a bottom clamping device (35) until the tubular knitted article (S) is entirely everted on the outer surface of the reversing tube (15).
METHOD FOR CLOSING A KNITTED TUBULAR ARTICLE AT AN AXIAL END THEREOF
A method for closing a knitted tubular manufacture at an axial end thereof, comprising:producing the manufacture up to execution of the last course of knitting;gripping the loops;removing the manufacture, retaining each loop of the last course formed;positioning the manufacture at a sewing station;transitioning the loops from pickup elements to spikes of a handling device;inverting the manufacture retained by the handling device;superimposing each one of the loops of one half course of knitting on a corresponding loop of the other half course of the last course of knitting;sewing pairs of loops of knitting that are mutually superimposed;disengaging the manufacture from the handling device, the s removal step of the manufacture comprising a first extraction preparation step, a second manufacture extraction step, and a third manufacture transfer step.

MECHANISM AND THE METHOD TO REVERSING THE TUBULAR TEXTILE
A mechanism and the method for reversing a tubular textile, such as sock, is performed when the plaiting process is finished and removed from the needles of the knitting machine for open-end closure.
DRIVE MECHANISM
A drive mechanism for driving a plurality of components arranged in a ring shape to move back and forth in a radial direction, the drive mechanism is disposed in an annular disk, each component has a shoulder, the drive mechanism includes: a circular body coaxial disposed on the annular disk; a drive wheel rotatably disposed coaxially with the circular body; a cam ring disposed coaxially with the drive wheel, having a diameter smaller than that of the drive wheel, and including at least one cam; a plurality of pushing elements provided for contacting the shoulder of the respective components and each having a driven portion abutted against the cam ring, so that the pushing elements are moved toward or away from the axis, and the pushing elements contact the shoulders to drive the components to move in the radial direction or in the direction of the axis.
MECHANISM FOR TRANSFERRING STITCHES FROM NEEDLES OF KNITTING MACHINE AND SEWING
A mechanism for the transfer of stitches from the needles of knitting machine and sewing. The invention relates to the elements that ensure transfer of a textile material such as a sock from the knitting needles after being knitted in the knitting machine and the elements in the station where the open end of the textile material is sewn off.
