Knitting Machine Parts and Method for Production Thereof
20210054547 · 2021-02-25 ·

A knitting machine part comprises a plurality of tool guides, each for one knitting tool. Each tool guide has a hardened region. The majority of the hardened regions are formed to be integral without seams or joints which transition integrally into adjacent, non-hardened regions. At least one hardened region of the knitting machine part is formed by a non-integral region, in that a hardened, separate component is arranged there, which forms the non-integral hardened region. The component can be designed as an insert part and inserted in a receptacle recess. The integral regions are preferably formed by induction hardening of a knitting machine part which is not yet hardened, wherein a separate hardened component can be arranged in each insufficiently hardened region in order to provide a hardened, non-integral region.

A circular knitting machine for knitwear includes a needle-holding cylinder having longitudinal grooves arranged around a central axis and housing a plurality of needles and a needle-holding ring having radial grooves housing a plurality of holding-down sinkers, wherein each needle is paired with at least one respective adjacent sinker so as to form a needle-sinker assembly. Each needle-sinker assembly includes a pre-selection element paired with the respective needle and comprising a connecting portion aligned with the radial groove and selectively cooperating with the adjacent sinker belonging to the same needle-sinker assembly. Each radial groove has a rear section and a front section, open on the front side towards the central axis; the front section is wider than the rear section. The front section is configured for laterally containing and guiding the connecting portion of the pre-selection element in its movements during the operating cycle of the knitting machine.

Method for producing a tubular compression item, and item thereby obtained

A tubular compression item having at least one leg part, one foot tip, one heel, one foot and one ribbed edge in the extension of the leg part delimiting an opening for introducing a foot into the item, is provided. The leg part has a height extending from the foot part up to the ribbed edge, and the leg part, the foot and the ribbed edge of the tubular compression item each comprise at least one knitting yarn. An elastic weft yarn is inserted between the stitches on the outer face and the stitches on the inner face of the leg part. The elastic weft yarn is inserted on at least 90% of the columns of stitches without forming any tuck stitch or loop stitch. The elastic weft yarn is maintained between two consecutive rows of stitches in the leg part. The foot tip and the heel each comprise at least one knitting yarn.

A jacquard fabric for a mattress ticking to be used for a bedding mattress and a method for knitting this jacquard fabric are provided. The method is for producing a jacquard fabric for a mattress ticking using a double-sided needle selection circular knitting machine of a rib gating type by which an arbitrary pattern is created by means of computer-based needle selection on a cylinder side, an arbitrary pattern is also created by means of computer-based needle selection on a dial side, and an arbitrary knitting structure is made in an arbitrary part by combining the pattern obtained on the cylinder side with the pattern obtained on the dial side. As a result of employing an irregular twill pattern as a background knitting structure serving as a base, a stretchable fabric that has a soft texture, a tight knitting structure, and strength similar to that of woven fabric is obtained.
