Cut-changing clothing based on adjustable stitching
Systems, apparatuses and methods may provide for a clothing article including a first fabric having a first set of threads coupled to one another, wherein each thread in the first set of threads includes a metal compound with electropermanent magnet properties. Additionally, a second fabric may be coupled to the first fabric, wherein the second fabric includes a second set of threads having the metal compound with electropermanent magnet properties. In one example, electrical current may be applied to one or more target threads, wherein the electrical current may initiate a slide of the first fabric across the second fabric and/or initiate creation of a fold among the target threads.
Knitted wire carrier for weather seal insert support with lockstitched reinforcing wire
This invention provides a knitted wire carrier for use in constructing a (e.g.) automotive weather seal that incorporates a locking stitch formed from a relatively incompressible and expansion-resisting material that passes through at least one of the warp threads adjacent to the wire weft. In an embodiment, the locking stitch constructed from a steel (or another metal) wire that is solid or braided. In other embodiments, the locking stitch can be constructed from fiberglass, monofilament polymer or another similarly performing material. In an embodiment, the lockstitch wire is constructed from approximately 0.5-millimeter diameter steel and the wire carrier is constructed from approximately 0.5-0.91-millimeter diameter steel. The wire lockstitch can be woven through a center warp yarn that is surrounded by other knitted warp yarns along the overall weft of the wire carrier. The wire carrier is coated with an adhesive, e.g., latex to maintain the knit in place.

Direct integration of individually controlled pixels into a knitted fabric matrix
A flexible and scalable emissive fabric display with individually controllable pixels disposed within a fabric matrix. The pixels may include areas where electroluminescent thread contact conductive threads, and take the form of either individual stitches, or contact points between perpendicularly inlayed conductive threads and electroluminescent threads. Alternatively, the pixels may include individual electroluminescent segments disposed along a conductive thread.

TWO-SIDES GRIPPING KNIT
The invention relates to a knit having barbs protruding outwards from both faces obtained by knitting yarns of biocompatible material in guide-bars B2, B3 and B4 of a knitting machine, wherein the knitting patterns followed by guide-bars B2 and B3 involve at least two needles and produce an arrangement of yarns defining two faces of the knit, the knitting pattern followed by guide-bar B4 making stitches generating loops protruding outwards from each of the faces of the knit, guide-bar B4 being threaded with a hot-melt monofilament yarn, heat-setting the knit, forming barbs by cutting the loops via melting.

Orthopedic device
An orthopedic device comprises a main body defining an outer surface and a cuff extending from an end portion of the main body with frictional material disposed on an inner surface of the first cuff. A hinge is connected to the main body and terminates along the main body short of the cuff. The cuff is arranged to fold over the outer surface of the main body in a disengaged configuration, such that the outer surface of the first cuff is adjacently against the outer surface of the main body.
DOUBLE RASCHEL KNITTED FABRIC
A double raschel knitted fabric is disclosed which is excellent in a strength although openings are formed. A double raschel knitted fabric is provided including outer/lining textures and a joining portion that connects them to each other, in which the outer texture has openings, and a total overlapping fineness of sinker loops in the lining texture, which is calculated by the following calculation formula, is 400 dtex to 1800 dtex.
The total overlapping fineness of sinker loops (dtex)−Σ.sub.K−1.sup.n (The fineness of a ground yarn fed from a k.sup.th guide bar (dtex)) [Eq. 1] (The number of underlaps of the ground yarn fed from the k.sup.th guide bar) (The threading ratio of the k.sup.th guide bar)
