FABRIC COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING COTTON AND HEMP FIBERS, AND METHODS FOR THEIR PREPARATION
Disclosed are antimicrobial and/or antiviral fabric compositions of cotton and hemp. In some embodiments, the composition also includes ascorbic acid, citric acid, sodium hypophosphite, and/or a mixture thereof. The ascorbic acid may be covalently attached to at least one cellulosic portion of the fabric composition. Also disclosed are methods for preparing such fabric compositions.
Method for nonwoven textiles with variable zonal properties
Methods and systems are provided for a process to generate a nonwoven textile. In one example, the nonwoven textile may have layered, zonal properties resulting from entangling of two or more types of staple fibers through a merging region between the layers of staple fibers while maintaining distinct zones, each zone comprising a type of staple fiber. Furthermore, the process may include embedding a filament layer into the nonwoven textile via a continuous assembly line.

PADS MADE FROM AGRICULTURAL WASTE
The present invention relates to the field of producing eco-friendly material such as pads made from agricultural waste, such as banana crop fibers, for use in various applications such as with evaporative coolers. The invention provides methods for manufacturing durable and biodegradable cooler pads suitable for use in evaporative cooling systems, for erosion control, and agricultural applications. The pads are formed by laying out banana fibers in a predetermined configuration and applying a biodegradable bonding agent to the fibers. The bonded pads are then dried, packaged, and made ready for use in evaporative coolers. Importantly, the bonding agent employed ensures that the pads remain intact and do not disintegrate when exposed to water such as in the evaporative cooling process.
ANIMAL BEDDING MADE FROM AGRICULTURAL WASTE
The present invention relates to the field of animal bedding and, more specifically, to pads made from banana fiber for use as animal bedding. The invention provides a novel method for manufacturing durable and biodegradable pads. The pads are formed by laying out banana fibers in a predetermined configuration and applying a biodegradable bonding agent to the fibers. The bonded pads are then dried, packaged, and made ready for use as bedding. Importantly, the bonding agent employed ensures that the pads remain intact and do not disintegrate when exposed to water.
Non-woven fabric, method of manufacturing non-woven fabric, solid electrolyte membrane, method of manufacturing solid electrolyte membrane, all-solid-state battery, and method of manufacturing all-solid-state battery
A solid electrolyte membrane having favorable characteristics and a method of forming the same are provided. A solid electrolyte membrane 40 is composed of a non-woven fabric (ultrafine fiber non-woven fabric) UFN and solid electrolyte particles 4AP incorporated therein. Also, the non-woven fabric UFN includes a fiber (ultrafine fiber UF) made of a resin containing a polar filler. A method of manufacturing the solid electrolyte membrane 40 includes a step of preparing the non-woven fabric UFN including a fiber made of a resin containing a polar filler, a step of applying a slurry S containing the solid electrolyte particles 4AP onto the non-woven fabric UFN, and a step of heating while pressurizing the slurry S on the non-woven fabric UFN. Further, the non-woven fabric UFN is formed by making the resin containing the polar filler be a fibrous form by a laser electrospinning method.
