VIBRATING DEVICE FOR AN INSTALLATION FOR PRODUCING A NONWOVEN, FABRIC WEB
A vibration device for an arrangement for producing a nonwoven fabric web, wherein the vibration device is configured to be arranged in a transverse direction of the arrangement under a conveyor belt for fibers from which the nonwoven fabric web is produced, wherein the vibration device is configured to cause the conveyor belt and the fibers transported thereon to vibrate, and wherein the vibration device includes a beam whose top side is configured to contact a bottom side of the conveyor belt at least temporarily, wherein the beam is supported or only excited or excitable by the vibration device so that the beam essentially performs or permits no vibrations in a conveying direction of the arrangement.
Nonwoven fabric for shielding terahertz frequencies
A method for producing a nonwoven for shielding electromagnetic radiation in a terahertz (THz) range includes: providing a first metal alloy adapted to shield electromagnetic radiation; providing a polymer material; providing a second metal alloy which differs from the first metal alloy; producing polymer fibers with filled fiber cores by evaporating the first metal alloy and mixing the first metal alloy molecules with the polymer material; coating at least a part of a surface of the polymer fibers with the second metal alloy; producing the nonwoven by randomly and irregularly arranging the coated polymer fibers with filled fiber cores in a three spatial dimensional directions, or producing the nonwoven by randomly and irregularly arranging the polymer fibers with filled fiber cores in the three spatial dimensional directions and coating at least a part of a surface of the nonwoven with the second metal alloy.
APPARATUS FOR MAKING SPUNBOND
An apparatus for making spunbond from continuous thermoplastic filaments has a spinneret for spinning the continuous filaments and advancing them in a filament-travel direction, a cooler for cooling the filaments, a stretcher for stretching the filaments, a depositing device including a foraminous belt extending in a machine direction transverse to the filament-travel direction for deposition of the filaments as a nonwoven web and conveyance away from the stretcher, a diffusor between the stretcher and the foraminous belt so that filaments and primary air from the stretcher enter into the diffusor, and a suction device for extracting air through the foraminous belt at an unobstructed extraction region underneath the diffusor outlet and having a width b in a machine direction that is greater than a width B of the diffusor outlet. The diffusor forms upstream and downstream secondary air-inlet gaps at opposite ends through which secondary air is aspirated into the diffusor.

Method and device for opening fiber bundle
A method and a device for opening a fiber bundle, capable of performing a fluctuating operation, at a high speed, of pushing a part of a conveyed fiber bundle by a contact member into a stress state and then separating the contact member from the fiber bundle so as to temporarily relax the fiber bundle, and also capable of reducing damage to the fiber bundle. The device for opening a fiber bundle includes a conveying portion 5 for pulling out a fiber bundle Tm from a yarn feeding body 11 and conveying it in a fiber length direction, a fiber-opening processing portion 3 for opening the fiber bundle by moving a fiber in a width direction while bending the fiber by letting a fluid pass through the conveyed fiber bundle Tm, and a fluctuation imparting portion 4 for rotating a contact member 42 in a direction inclined with respect to a conveyance direction while bringing it into contact with the conveyed fiber bundle Tm and pushing a part of the fiber bundle Tm into a stress state, and then separating the contact member 42 from the fiber bundle Tm in the stress state so as to temporarily bring the fiber bundle Tm into a relaxed state.

BLOOD FILTER
Provided is a blood filter that resists deterioration in properties as a result of electron beam sterilization treatment performed before or during use as a blood filter, has durability, dimensional stability, and chemical resistance at excellent levels, also has biocompatibility, and resists deterioration in properties even upon the electron beam sterilization treatment. The blood filter according to the present invention includes a nonwoven fabric made of PEEK fibers. Preferably, the blood filter according to the present invention has an average pore size of 3 to 280 μm and has a porosity of 15% to 70%; and the PEEK fibers have an average fiber diameter of 10 μm or less.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MAKING NONWOVEN FROM CONTINUOUS FILAMENTS
An apparatus for making nonwoven has a spinning device for spinning continuous filaments and moving the spun filaments in a vertical travel direction along a vertical travel path and a mesh belt below the spinning device, traveling in a horizontal direction, and having a multiplicity of vertically throughgoing openings distributed generally uniformly over its surface and of which a portion are plugged. A cooler and a stretcher are provided along the path downstream of the spinning device and above the belt for cooling and stretching the filaments and depositing the cooled and stretched filaments at a predetermined deposition location on the belt. A blower underneath the belt at the deposition location aspirates air through the openings and thereby holds the deposited filaments down on the belt.
