Medical system including medical imaging device and robotic bed
In a medical system including a medical imaging device and a robotic bed, the table may be movable between a first position where a maximum dimension of the robot arm not hidden under the table is less than one fourth of a longitudinal dimension of the table when the table is viewed from vertically above, and a second position where a maximum dimension of the robot arm not hidden under the table is one fourth of a longitudinal dimension of the table or more when the table is viewed from vertically above. The second position may be an imaging position or an imaging preparation position where an image is taken by the medical imaging device. The first position may be surgery position where a shortest distance between the robotic bed and a location of the medical imaging device is at least a predetermined distance.
Table adapters for mounting robotic arms to a surgical table
In some embodiments, an apparatus can include a surgical table and an adapter coupled thereto. The adapter includes an interface structure, a first link member pivotally coupled to the interface structure at a first joint, and coupled to a second link member of the adapter at a second joint. The second link member can also be coupleable to a robotic arm via a coupling. The first joint can allow the first link member to rotate about a first axis defined in a vertical direction relative to the table top, and the second joint can allow the second link member and a robotic arm coupled thereto to move in a vertical direction relative to the table top. The first link member and the second link member collectively provide for movement of the robotic arm in at least one of a lateral, longitudinal or vertical direction relative to the table top.
ROBOTIC SURGICAL TOOL WITH REPLACEABLE CARRIAGE
A robotic surgical tool comprises a handle having a first end and a second end, a lead screw and at least one spline extendable between the first and second ends of the handle, and a carriage movably mountable to the lead screw at a carriage nut. The carriage includes an elevator layer and one or more additional layers removably coupled to the elevator layer. An elongate shaft may be provided that extends distally from the one or more additional layers and penetrates the elevator layer and the first end when the one or more additional layers are coupled to the elevator layer. An end effector may be arranged at a distal end of the elongate shaft.
MODULAR ROBOTIC SURGICAL SYSTEMS
A robotic surgical system includes a stationary instrument driver comprising a first instrument driver body attached to a distal joint of a first robotic arm and operable to drive one or more functions of a first surgical tool, and a mobile instrument driver comprising an instrument driver carriage translatable along a longitudinal base and operable to drive one or more functions of a second surgical tool, where the longitudinal base is removably attached to a distal joint of a second robotic arm.
RELEASABLE SPAR FOR SURGICAL BOOT
A boot stirrup for use with a surgical table is provided. The boot stirrup includes a support arm, a surgical boot, and a lockable joint coupled to the support arm and the surgical boot. The support arm is configured to couple to a surgical table for movement about a plurality of axes relative to the surgical table. The surgical boot is configured to support and/or immobilize the foot and leg of the patient. The lockable joint is configured to selectively permit movement of the surgical boot relative to the support arm.
Multimodality medical procedure mattress-based device
A mattress system is provided that is optimized for the hospital setting and includes a guiderail system that accepts a variety of accessories for attachment thereto. The guiderail system may have integrated data lines, power lines, gas lines, and/or fluid lines. Also provided are radioabsorbant shields, trays and other components designed for optimal use with the mattress system.
Surgical Robot Positioning System and Related Devices and Methods
The various embodiments disclosed herein relate to surgical robot positioning systems and devices that aid in the gross positioning of surgical devices during surgical procedures. For example, a gross positioning system for use with a robotic surgical device may include a positioning body, a yaw mechanism operably coupled to the positioning body at a yaw rotational joint, a pitch mechanism operably coupled to the positioning body at a pitch rotational joint, and a plunge mechanism operably coupled to the pitch mechanism, where the plunge mechanism is configured to slide and to be coupleable to the robotic surgical device.
Surgeon support system for operating tables
Systems and methods of providing an attendant support on an operating table include obtaining a cushion presenting an attendant support surface and coupling the cushion to a rail of the operating table such that the attendant support surface of the cushion is oriented at least partially laterally outward from the rail. The attendant support surface is operable to provide support to an attendant positioned adjacent to and leaning against the operating table.
Stabilization device
A stabilization device for stabilizing a robotic arm is provided attached at a fixing point on a predefined side of an operating table is provided. The stabilization device comprises a first fixation device configured to attach the stabilization device to the robotic arm, a support structure joined to the first fixation device, and a second fixation device joined to the support structure, the second fixation device being configured to fix the stabilization device to the operating table. The first fixation device is attachable to the robotic arm, and the stabilization device is configured such that the second fixation device is fixable to the operating table at a fixation location located at another place than at the predefined side of the operating table.
Systems and Methods for Mounting Medical Equipment
Systems, devices and methods are described for mounting medical equipment on IV poles, bed rails and other supporting structures in medical facilities including operating rooms and critical care sections. A system including a mounting hanger and corresponding equipment housing is disclosed that allows quick mounting and dismounting of equipment from a supporting structure. The novel structural design of mounting hanger including a symmetrical t-slot feature and a plunger lock allows a piece of equipment to be mounted on a supporting structure in multiple orientations as per the requirement which allows a user to optimize the placement of equipment in the medical environment.
