Split base plate assembly using pins
11839574 · 2023-12-12 · ·

This disclosure pertains to a separable base plate assembly configured to securely attached to a side rail of an operating room table and to hold, move, and maintain a body part in a specific position as needed in orthopedic surgery. The separable base plate assembly is further configured to decouple into separate parts to facilitate sterilization of said parts, after an orthopedic surgery is performed. The separable base plate assembly may comprise two or more base portions including track portions, a base plate connector, drop pins, and associated components adapted for securing the assembly, which in turn is configured to be assembled to a clamp that rigidly attaches the assembly to the operating room table side rail.

TABLE MOUNT FOR A TOUCHSCREEN DEVICE

The present disclosure is directed to table mount for mounting a touchscreen device to a surgical table. The table mount includes a clamp configured to releasably secure the table mount to the table, a first arm rotatably connected to the clamp and configured to extend vertically from the surgical table, a second arm rotatably connected to the first arm, and a touchscreen device docking assembly rotatably connected to the second arm and configured to hold a touchscreen device.

Accessory part with clamp fastening
11039970 · 2021-06-22 · ·

An accessory part for a medical device, such as an operating table or a transport board. Accessory devices may include a first plate for supporting a patient, and a second plate which can be moved relative to the first plate within a predetermined adjustment range. Devices may include a first clamping surface and a second clamping surface at a distance from the first clamping surface, wherein movement of the second plate relative to the first plate causes movement of the second clamping surface relative to the first clamping surface in a direction substantially parallel to a surface of the first or second plate, in order to increase or reduce a clamping force between the accessory part and a suitable holder on the medical device. Methods and medical devices for use with the accessory parts are also disclosed.

Mounting device for medical equipment

A medical equipment mounting device, for example a patch unit holder, is provided for holding medical equipment on a fixed structure. The mounting device includes a housing, a knob, and a locking ledge. The housing has an opening to receive and mount to a fixed structure. The knob has a ramp for defining a height of the locking ledge and functions as a push-button to cause the locking ledge to engage or release the fixed structure. The ramp of the knob is shaped to provide multiple discrete heights for the locking ledge. This configuration allows for the mounting device to be universal in mounting to various fixed structures, particularly various bedrail sizes.

MAGNETIC LATCH FOR A SURGICAL ROBOTIC SYSTEM
20210282890 · 2021-09-16 ·

A surgical robotic system that includes a surgical table that is configured to hold a patient and a magnetic latch. The magnetic latch has a ferromagnetic plate, a permanent magnet that produces a first magnetic field and that attracts the ferromagnetic plate to thereby couple a robotic arm to the surgical table, and a cancelling coil, which when energized, produces a second magnetic field that opposes the first magnetic field to thereby uncouple the robotic arm from the surgical table.

FUNCTIONAL INDICATORS FOR ROBOTIC MEDICAL SYSTEMS
20210186644 · 2021-06-24 ·

A robotic medical system can include a patient platform configured to support a patient during a robotic medical procedure, a column supporting the patient platform, and an arm support coupled to the column with at least one robotic arm coupled to the arm support. The system can also include an indicator positioned on at least one of the arm support and the patient platform, wherein the indicator is configured to indicate state or identity information of the system. The indicator can be a visual indicator.

BREATHING DEVICES AND RELATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS
20210113747 · 2021-04-22 ·

Breathing devices deliver at least one treatment to a subject and include at least two components comprising at least one of a ventilation unit for supplying a gas to the subject, a humidification unit for humidifying a gas supplied to the subject, a nebulizer unit for supplying a medication to the subject, a suction unit for suctioning a portion of an airway of the subject, and a cough assist unit for simulating a cough within the subject. Methods of providing a treatment to a subject may be provided with a breathing device.

PATIENT POSITIONING APPARATUS, SYSTEM AND METHOD WITH SOCKET CONNECTOR FOR POSITIONING PATIENT IN LATERAL POSITION
20210154077 · 2021-05-27 · ·

A support system for positioning a patient in lateral position during surgery procedures with a removable, adjustable support pad assembly, comprising a first support unit arranged for attachment to side rail on a lateral edge of an operating table, and a second support unit comprising an arm connected movably by the using of a movable connection with a pad plate adapted to position a support pad connected by a biasing connector to a support plate with degrees of freedom of angular rotational movement of the support pad in relation to the patient. The biasing connector comprises a channel formed between a base plate support segment and a projection clamping the pad plate apart from the support plate to allow flow of air and/or fluids from the support pad.

Patient stabilization, infection barrier, pressure ulcer prevention and equipment protection device and methods of use
11026854 · 2021-06-08 ·

The present disclosure provides a patient positioning device and methods of using such a device that allows for the easy securing of the device to the operating room table or hospital bed, a comfortable surface for patients to rest on during their diagnostic, therapeutic or surgical procedure, that helps reduce the likelihood of developing pressure ulcers, protects the patient by providing an infectious barrier, helps protects the patient from electrical injury by creating a non-conductive barrier between the patient the metal operating table, and protects the operating room table and equipment with an integrated, impermeable barrier to prevent blood, other bodily fluids and other fluids such as intravenous fluids, blood products and irrigation from soiling the operating or procedure table and nearby equipment. The device overcomes several challenges that exist with current devices and methods and is simple, disposable, and cost-effective. It allows for easier, faster and safer patient positioning, improved infection control, lower risk of electrical injury, improved protection from pressure ulcer formation, less waste compared to current options in a single, one-package solution. Additionally, a leg portion of the device can include an inflatable member which serves as a Sequential Compression Device which can be repeatedly inflated/deflated to facilitate circulation and prevent formation of blood clots.
