A collection system for collecting outflow from a hysteroscopic surgical procedure includes a plurality of collection vessels each including a flexible body defining an internal volume and transitionable between a collapsed configuration and an expanded configuration. The collection system further includes connection tubing coupling adjacent collection vessels with one another, outflow tubing coupled to at least one of the collection vessels, and a plurality of retention canisters. Each retention canister includes a rigid body. Each collection vessel is configured to engage a corresponding retention canister such that each rigid body at least partially receives one of the flexible bodies therein.
RELOCATION MODULES AND METHODS FOR SURGICAL FIELD
Examples of a module for housing unrelated electronic and electromechanical equipment for use during surgery. The module can include a lower section and a tower-like upper section. The lower section can house unrelated electronic and electromechanical equipment. The tower-like upper section can be located on top of the lower section. A water-resistant cowling can enclose at least a portion of the lower section and the tower-like upper section. A cartridge containing one or more ultraviolet-C producing lights can be protectively housed within the tower-like upper section. The cartridge containing one or more ultraviolet-C producing lights can be configured to emerge upward from a top of the tower-like upper section to substantially seat itself on the top of the tower-like upper section when activated allowing the ultraviolet-C light to disinfect the patient and staff-contacting upper surfaces of the equipment in the operating room.
Suspension device of a drainage container
A suspension device for a drainage container has, on a first side, a first fastening unit for mounting and fastening the drainage container on the suspension device. On a second side, a second fastening unit is present for mounting and fastening the suspension device on a rail. The first fastening unit is arranged in a first fastening part, and the second fastening unit is arranged in a second fastening part. The suspension device further comprises a weighing part with a weighing element, wherein the weighing part is connected or can be connected to the first fastening part and to the second fastening part so as to measure, with the weighing element, a relative displacement, such that a filling quantity of the aspirated body fluid in the drainage container can be determined.
Limb Irrigation Pan Device
A kit of parts for assembling a limb irrigation pan device includes a base having first and second opposing sides formed with alternating indentations and protrusions extending along the first and second opposing sides. A first side wall has alternating spaced indentations and protrusions formed along a bottom section of the first side wall to enable the first side wall to be mounted to the base by inserting the alternating spaced indentations and protrusions formed along the bottom section of first side wall into corresponding alternating indentations and protrusions along the first side of the base. A second side wall has alternating spaced indentations and protrusions formed along a bottom section of the second side wall to enable the second side wall to be mounted to the base by inserting the alternating spaced indentations and protrusions formed along the bottom section of the second side wall into corresponding alternating indentations and protrusions along the second side of the base. First and second end panels mount onto opposite ends of the base so as to extend upward and substantially perpendicular to the base in parallel relation to each other to form a frame with the first and second side walls. A sling has coupling components along two opposite sides. The coupling components are adapted to attach the sling to the first and second side walls whereby the sling is coupled to the frame.
Extremity support and irrigation device and method of use
An apparatus for supporting an extremity during tissue irrigation and debridement and containing and capturing fluid and tissue debris resulting therefrom includes an extremity-supporting base and barrier shroud. The apparatus can be used to control drainage of fluid and tissue debris during irrigation and debridement. The apparatus supports and encloses a patient extremity, such as an arm or a leg. The base has a length, proximal end (i.e., nearest the patient's body), and distal end (i.e., farthest from the patient's body). The base may comprise an open-cell foam that is non-collapsible to provide a support surface with a fixed length. The shroud has a top portion, bottom portion, and shroud drainage opening. The shroud can be selectively moveable between a first position in which the support surface is unobstructed to facilitate placement of an extremity thereon and a second position in the shroud at least partially encloses the extremity.
Vacuum pad and related system
A vacuum pad may include a top layer forming a top surface of the vacuum pad; a bottom layer forming a bottom surface of the vacuum pad; and a plurality of spacers located between the top layer and the bottom layer such that an interior space is formed between the top layer and the bottom layer. The interior space may have at least one channel extending around at least one spacer of the plurality of spacers. The vacuum pad may also include an outlet tube in fluid communication with the interior space, where the top layer includes a plurality of holes. A vacuum system may include the vacuum pad along with a canister and a vacuum source for moving fluid from the vacuum pad to the canister.
Splash-retarding fluid collection system
A fluid collection container (1500) includes a vessel (901) and a lid (1300). A splash retarding cover (100) can be attached to a mouth (501) of the vessel (901). The splash retarding cover (100) can include a centrally disposed suspended funnel (101), a collar (102) surrounding the funnel (101), a vessel mounting ring (109), and a plurality of sloping facets (104) circumscribing the collar (102) and sloping outwardly from an outer circumference (105) of the collar (102) and terminating at the vessel mounting ring (109). An optional cache (1904) of coagulant material can be disposed within an interior of the vessel as well.
Patient holding hospital unit, patient transportation system and patient transportation and life support system
A patient holding hospital unit is described. The patient holding hospital unit has a supporting surface configured to receive a patient and a life support system. The supporting surface has a container restrained to the supporting surface that contains an anesthesia machine, reservoirs and related ducts, perfusion devices, an automatic control system, a power supply unit, a power supply line. The container also has dispensing valves arranged on an external surface of the container together with a control interface and the supply valves and electric connector of the power supply line are arranged at a connecting member adapted to be mounted to a base member configured to supply gases under pressure to the reservoirs and power to the control system.
Drain tray assembly, system and method
A surgical drain tray assembly includes a fluid impermeable first layer and a porous second layer positioned on the fluid impermeable first layer. The fluid impermeable first layer includes a drain outlet, a basin, and a sloping surface angled toward the basin, the drain outlet being positioned within the basin. The porous second layer may be formed of a foam material and includes a top work surface. Fluids spilled onto the work surface pass through the porous second layer to the fluid impermeable first layer. The sloping surface of the fluid impermeable first layer conveys the fluids toward the basin for draining through the drainage outlet.
Operating room floor mat with protective sheet to cover surgical equipment foot pedals
An operating room floor mat includes a main body and a protective sheet that is secured around to the main body around a perimeter of the sheet. A section of the perimeter is left unsecured to form an opening of a pocket into which at least one foot pedal is inserted, and through which a cable connection between the foot pedal and surgical equipment extends. Placement of the foot pedal into the pocket protects the foot pedal from blood or irrigation fluid dripping from an operating table without interfering with operation of the foot pedal.
