Sewing-machine operating program, sewing machine, and terminal device
A sewing-machine operating program is installed in a terminal device of a user. A specifying information acquiring step causes a short-distance information acquiring unit to acquire specifying information recorded on a sewing-machine main unit. In the distance measuring step, an apart distance is calculated from a detection result of a movement detecting sensor with a position where the specifying information is acquired being as an initial position. In the distance comparing step, for a remote operation to the sewing-machine main unit, the apart distance and a prescribed distance are compared. In the function restricting step, when the apart distance is within the prescribed distance, an operation command is transmitted to the sewing-machine main unit via a wireless communication device, and when the apart distance exceeds the prescribed distance, the operation command is not transmitted to the sewing-machine main unit.
Sewing method and apparatus to increase 3D object strength
An addition to additive manufacturing sews a number of printed substrate sheets together using industrial sewing machine technology. Portions of the final 3D object that will be solid are sewn together into bundles of the object with a needle protruding through the top of the bundle via a sewing machine with a looping mechanism connecting the thread loops under each bundle of printed substrate sheet layers. This will result in many well connected stack bundles that are then stacked in alignment to form the final stack. During heat and compression, the stitch thread may bunch together and become entangled with the cooled plastic of the final solid 3D object. Removal of the excess substrate may proceed as usual, since the sewing is applied only in the solid portions of the final object. The end result will be a part with much higher strength in the Z axis.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MONITORING QUILTING
A stitch monitoring system configured to provide one or more real-time views of stitching applied to a quilt during construction of the quilt on a long arm sewing machine. The stitch monitoring system including a camera having a housing configured to selectively adhere to an exterior of a sewing machine, an imaging module configured to convert photons to electrons for digital processing, a compound macro lens assembly comprising a first lens, a second lens, a third lens, and a spacer element positioned between the second lens and the third lens having a length to enable a sharp image of stitching applied to the quilt when the quilt is positioned adjacent to the third lens, and a wireless transceiver module configured to wirelessly transmit data gathered by the imaging module via a wireless network to display real-time views of stitching applied to the quilt by the sewing machine.
Sewing machine
A sewing machine that sews an embroidery pattern on a sewing object includes an embroidery frame horizontally moving along a direction which a frame surface extends, a needle bar supporting a needle for inserting a thread, and reciprocally moving toward an internal space of the embroidery frame, a memory unit storing image data of the embroidery frame, and embroidery data of the embroidery pattern, and a display unit displaying an image of the embroidery frame, an image of the embroidery pattern within the image of the embroidery frame, and a feature point with a positional relation between the embroidery pattern, and the embroidery frame when actually sewn in accordance with the embroidery data.
SOFTWARE ACTIVATION SYSTEM, SEWING MACHINE, AND SERVER
A software activation system includes a sewing machine and at least one server connected via a network. The sewing machine acquires an authentication code corresponding to an activation target software that is at least one of a program and data not activated on the sewing machine, and transmits, to an authentication server included in the at least one server, an authentication request including the acquired authentication code. The server acquires an authentication key on the basis of the authentication request, when the authentication request is received by the first receiver; and transmits the acquired authentication key to the sewing machine. The sewing machine also receives the authentication key from the authentication server, determines whether the received authentication key satisfies a predetermined authentication condition, and activates the activation target software on the sewing machine when it is determined that the authentication key satisfies the predetermined condition.

SEWING MACHINE AND PATTERN ALIGNMENT METHOD
A sewing machine includes a sewing portion, a movement portion, a processor and a memory. The memory is configured to store computer-readable instructions that, when executed by the processor, instruct the processor to perform processes. The processes include acquiring pattern data indicating positions of a plurality of needle drop points to sew a pattern, acquiring a position of a sewing start point of the pattern, performing first correction, performing second correction that uses the acquired position of the sewing start point as a base point, and corrects the pattern data, by changing, by an acquired change amount, the positions of the plurality of needle drop points represented by the pattern data corrected by the first correction, and controlling the sewing portion and the movement portion and sewing the pattern on the sewing object, in accordance with the pattern data corrected by the second correction.
Sewing machine
The present invention provides a sewing machine that enables to switch frequently used functions during the sewing work with good usability, validate only the indicator related to the work among a plurality of indicators, and enables GUI operations by a screen display unit. Thus, high operability can be achieved. The sewing machine includes: a setting unit for setting operation buttons related to desired sewing work; an operation display unit for displaying the operation buttons set by the setting unit, the operation display being arranged at an arm part; and a screen display unit arranged at a position different from the operation display unit.
SEWING MACHINE, TERMINAL APPARATUS, SEWING MACHINE SYSTEM, INFORMATION GENERATING METHOD, DISPLAY METHOD, AND PROGRAM
An operation state ascertaining unit of a sewing machine ascertains an operation state of a sewing machine main body. A content information selection unit selects particular content information that corresponds to the operation state ascertained by the operation state ascertaining unit from among multiple content information stored in an operation-associated content information storage unit that stores multiple content information corresponding to the operation state. An instruction information appending unit appends additional information with respect to instruction content for the main body to the content information selected by the content information selection unit. A coding unit codes the selected content information to which the additional information has been appended by the instruction information appending unit. A display unit displays the content information coded by the coding unit. Subsequently, a reader unit of a terminal apparatus reads the coded content information, and a display unit displays the content thus read.
Sewing machine
A sewing machine including a detection portion that detects a movement amount of a workpiece, a sewing machine motor that serves as a driving source for vertical movement of a needle bar, and a control device that controls the sewing machine motor based on the detection result by the detection portion and performs control to maintain a constant stitch pitch. The control device lengthens a period for obtaining an output of the detection portion when the movement amount of the workpiece per unit time based on the detection result by the detection portion is decreased, and shortens the period for obtaining the output of the detection portion when the movement amount of the workpiece per unit time based on the detection result by the detection portion is increased.
