Multimodality Medical Procedure Mattress-Based Device
A mattress system is provided that is optimized for the hospital setting and includes a guiderail system that accepts a variety of accessories for attachment thereto. The guiderail system may have integrated data lines, power lines, gas lines, and/or fluid lines. Also provided are radioabsorbant shields, trays and other components designed for optimal use with the mattress system.
Operating-table column
An operating table column is disclosed. The operating table column includes a column part and a head part configured to connect a patient support surface of an operating table to the column part. The operating table column also includes a power supply unit disposed on the column part for supplying power to the operating table. The head part includes a first head element mounted rotatably about a first rotation axis and a second head element mounted rotatably about a second rotation axis. The column part includes an actuator configured to lift the patient support surface. At least one tube is configured to connect the power supply to the operating table and is protected from exposure to external elements. The actuator includes a cover configured to guide a portion of the at least one tube at least partially through the first head element in an area adjacent to the first rotation axis.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DETECTING AND IDENTIFYING ARCING BASED ON NUMERICAL ANALYSIS
Method and system allowing more accurate detection and identification of unwanted arcing include novel processing of signal voltage representing recovered power-line current. In one implementation, arc-faults are detected based on numerical analysis where individual cycles of line voltage and current are observed and data collected during each cycle is processed to estimate likelihood of presence of arc-event within each individual cycle based on pre-defined number of arc-events occurring within pre-defined number of contiguous cycles. In another implementation, fast transient current spikes detection can be done by: computing difference values between consecutive line-current samples collected over a cycle, average of differences, and peak-to-peak value of line-current; comparing each difference value to average of difference; comparing each difference value to peak-to-peak value; and, based on calculation of composite of two comparisons, using thresholds to determine if arcing is present within processed cycle.
SECURE LINE HOLDER
Embodiments are directed toward a medical line holder system. The system preferably includes a tray and a secure line holder. The tray preferably has a holder receptacle. The tray preferably couples to a head of a surgery bed. The holder receptacle preferably receives and separably secures the secure line holder. The secure line holder preferably securely holds multiple medical lines both while being secured in the receptacle and while being separated from the tray. The secure line holder preferably separably couples to a bed rail of a hospital transportation bed or a hospital recovery bed after being separated from the tray.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR OPTICAL STRAIN SENSING IN MEDICAL INSTRUMENTS
Certain aspects relate to systems and techniques for optical strain sensing in medical instruments. In one aspect, a medical instrument includes an elongated shaft, and at least one pull wire extending from a proximal end of the elongated shaft to the distal end of the elongated shaft. The at least pull wire is configured to cause actuation of the medical instrument in at least one degree of freedom. The at least one pull wire includes an optical fiber configured to provide an indication of strain along the pull wire.
CPAP machine storage stand
A continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machine storage stand. The CPAP machine storage stand includes a base having a lip extending perpendicularly away from a periphery of the base defining an interior portion of the base. The interior portion can receive a CPAP machine therein. A U-shaped frame having a first end and a second end is hingedly affixed to opposing sides of the lip at the first and second ends thereof. The U-shaped frame can selectively move between a deployed position and a collapsed position, wherein the U-shaped frame rests flush against the base within the interior portion when in the collapsed position.
Stand device responsive to force or movement, control device, and method for positioning the stand device
A stand device for arranging in an operating room and for locally moving a medical device can incorporate a braking device having at least one brake to adjust a degree of freedom of movement of the medical device or a support system holding the device, wherein the stand device can further comprise a control device connected to the braking device to evaluate an external force acting on the stand device or a movement caused by the external force and configured to control the braking device and to adjust the degree of freedom of movement. The medical device can be moved without operating a switch/pushbutton. Furthermore, the disclosure relates to control devices and a methods for positioning the medical device.
DELAYED CORD CLAMPING SYSTEM
A delayed cord-clamping surface is provided that includes a newborn platform having a recessed surface configured to receive a chemical warming mattress, where the chemical warming mattress includes a conformable surface, where the newborn platform includes a detachable platform support that is configured to position the newborn platform proximal to a surgical region of a C-section patient, where the newborn platform is configured to support a newborn baby while an umbilical cord remains connected between the newborn and the C-section patient for draining from a placenta, where the newborn platform is configured to fitably mount with a warming table when the newborn platform is in a detached state from the detachable platform support.
Infant warming device with in bed patient support power, signal, control, data, and communications
An electrical connection system that can feed power, signal, data, and communication lines into a rotating patient support system in a infant warming device.
