Sewing machine
A sewing machine includes a driving unit, a throat plate, a pressing unit, a detecting unit and a control unit. The detecting unit includes a housing mounted to a connecting module of the pressing unit, a track ball rotatably disposed on the housing, and adapted for contact with a fabric placed on the throat plate, and a plurality of Hall-effect sensors disposed in the housing such that, when the fabric is moved on the throat plate, the track ball rotates relative to the fabric and the housing, so that a rotational speed of the track ball is detected by the Hall-effect sensors. The control unit is disposed for controlling a moving speed of a needle bar of the driving unit corresponding to the rotational speed of the track ball.
PRESSER FOOT FOR SEWING MACHINE
A presser foot for a sewing machine has a bottom wall, first and second side walls, and a guard piece. The bottom wall has front and rear ends. In addition, the bottom wall is provided with a needle-passing hole and a first slit extending from the needle-passing hole to the front end. The first side wall and the second side wall are formed integral with the bottom wall and spaced apart from each other in a width direction of the bottom wall. The guard piece is attached to the first side wall to cover the gap between the first side wall and the second side wall from above. In plan view, the guard piece is spaced from the needle-passing hole and does not overlap with the needle-passing hole. The guard piece and the second side wall are spaced apart from each other by a second slit.
Presser foot for producing a piping or welt
A presser foot (1) for a sewing machine, having a shank (4) for fastening the presser foot (1) to a sewing machine, a needle opening (5) through which the sewing machine needle is able to be guided during sewing, and a presser foot sole (6) having an elongate depression (7) in the presser foot sole (6). The elongate depression (7) forms a guide wall which during sewing is configured to guide a filler material (8) to be sewn into the fabric (2) in the transport direction laterally beside the needle opening (5) and past the needle opening (5), and press said filler material against the fabric to be sewn, wherein the spatial extent of the elongate depression (7) is variably adjustable.

SEWING MACHINE
A sewing machine includes a movement amount detector which is configured to detect a movement amount of a workpiece, a motor which is a rotation driving source of an upper shaft configured to provide a vertical motion to a needle bar, and a control device which is configured to control the motor based on detection of the movement amount detector to maintain a constant stitch length. The movement amount detector is supported to be capable of being raised and lowered around a stitch position. The sewing machine includes a pressing unit configured to provide an upward elastic force such that a detection surface of the movement amount detector protrudes from an upper surface of a throat plate.

SKIN MATERIAL AND CONVEYANCE SEAT
It is intended to improve texture of a decoration using a stitch line while improving workability in sewing for forming the stitch line at a skin material, to promote manufacturing efficiency as compared to formation of a stepped shape only by sewing, and to reduce the number of steps. A skin material is used for a conveyance seat, and is molded using a die. The skin material includes a linearly-extending stepped portion having a stepped shape transferred from the die, and a stitch line sewn along the stepped portion. The stepped portion serves as a guide upon formation of the stitch line.
