Pressing device supporting presser foot and sewing machine provided with the pressing device
In a pressing device, a first member is movable in an up-down direction along with a presser bar of a sewing machine in a mounted state in which the pressing device is mounted on the presser bar. A second member supports a presser foot. The presser bar applies, through the second member, a presser force to the presser foot downward in the mounted state. A third member is disposed between the first and second members in the up-down direction in the mounted state. A gap-adjusting member adjusts a gap between the first and third members by contacting at least one of the first and third members. An urging member urges the second and third members away from each other with an urging force smaller than the pressing force of the presser bar. A guide part guides movement of the second and third members relative to the first member.

SEWING MACHINE ASSEMBLY
A sewing machine assembly includes a sewing machine frame, a main presser bar, and a presser foot assembly. The sewing machine frame includes a frame base, a frame body that extends from the frame base, a frame head coupled to the frame body that extends from the frame body toward the frame base. The main presser bar is mounted to the frame head of the sewing machine frame. The presser foot assembly includes an auxiliary presser bar offset from the main presser bar.

Sewing machine and presser foot device
A presser foot device includes a pressing member and a guide member provided at the lower end of the pressing member. The guide member has an opening section provided to allow an upper thread to pass therethrough in a rotating direction of a rotary hook, and a restricting section provided to restrict movement of the upper thread in a direction opposite the rotating direction of the rotary hook. Upon determination that a direction in which a next stitch is to be formed belongs to a predetermined hitch-stitch forming area, detouring movement of a frame, holding the sewing workpiece, is carried out. This detouring movement includes moving the frame in such a direction in which the upper thread moves out of the opening section and then further moving the frame to a target position corresponding to the next stitch such that the upper thread abuts against the restricting section.

SEWING MACHINE AND METHODS OF USING THE SAME
A system for calibrating one or more optical sensors on a sewing machine includes one or more optical sensors and one or more processors of the sewing machine. The optical sensors are arranged to collect data from one or more features of one or more predefined regions. The processors are for processing the data and are configured to: receive the data; detect and recognize the one or more features of the one or more predetermined regions from the data; calculate one or more accuracy indicators of the one or more features from the data as compared to a known feature; compare the value of the one or more accuracy indicators to one or more indicator thresholds; and adjust a parameter of at least one of the optical sensors based on the comparison between the one or more accuracy indicators and the one or more indicator thresholds.

SEWING MACHINE PRESSER FOOT
A sewing machine presser foot being attached to a presser foot bar provided near a needle bar via a presser foot support member in a sewing machine, the sewing machine including a throat plate and a needle bar up-down movement mechanism configured to cause an up-down movement of the needle bar holding a sewing needle. The sewing machine presser foot includes: a first presser foot and a second presser foot supported by the presser foot support member; a first presser foot portion supported to be movable up and down in conjunction with the up-down movement of the needle bar; a second presser foot portion supported to be movable up and down; and an adjustment portion configured to adjust a height position of the second presser foot portion with respect to the throat plate.
SEWING MACHINE
A sewing machine includes a bed including a bed surface, a needle bar, a presser bar, a projector, and a controller. A movement detector is attachable to the presser bar. The controller is configured to perform a sewing control of, in a state where the movement detector is attached to the presser bar, controlling an up-down reciprocating speed of the needle bar based on a signal output from the movement detector. The signal corresponds to a movement amount of a sewing workpiece located in a detection region. The controller is configured to perform a projection of, during performing the sewing control, controlling the projector to project an image toward the bed surface.
