QUILT BLOCK EASEL
An easel for use in the quilting art is provided. The easel has a design board has a front, working surface upon which a person who is creating a quilt may compose a quilt block from individual pieces of fabric. Either extending from, or attached to a back surface of the design board, the easel has a selectively collapsible, support assembly. Two selectively pivotable legs and a rib of the support assembly allow the easel to be stored or transported in a substantially flat condition and/or erected into a substantially standing position when in use. A woven, preferably, microfiber fabric sized to fit around and cover the front, working surface of the design board, is also provided. The fabric being selectively removable and able to be laundered. A storage case is included.
SEWING FRAME WITH WORKSPACE EDGE WARNING SYSTEM
A sewing frame unit is provided. The sewing frame unit includes a frame support structure; a frame assembly affixed to the frame support structure; a machine carriage assembly mounted on the frame support structure. The machine carriage assembly provides for lateral and longitudinal movement of the sewing machine. A sensor is mounted on the machine carriage assembly or on the frame assembly for detecting a position of the sewing machine.

Quilt suspension apparatus and method
An apparatus and method for suspending a substantial portion of a quilt or fabric for free-motion stitching during sewing operations is disclosed. The apparatus includes a planar frame with support poles extending from the frame feet, with a retainer for retaining a portion of the quilt or fabric attached to one or more support poles via a retainer block. The frame includes at least two frame base portions with frame feet on opposing sides of the frame base portions which form a secure base for the suspension assembly to rest upon a surface. A dowel spans between the frame feet of each frame base and serves to provide a sturdy structural connection to which the support poles are attached. The retention clips retain the quilt or fabric layers in the desired suspended position so as to form a partial paraboloid shape with the local area around the vertex of the partial paraboloid shape positioned in relative juxtaposition to the sewing machine needle where stitching occurs. The frame bases may be moved closer or farther away from each other so as to narrow or enlarge the distance between the support poles attached to each frame foot depending on the size of the table or surface upon which the sewing machine is placed and provides a scalable solution for a variety of stitching or sewing apparatus setups.

FABRIC FRAME FOR A MANEUVERABLE SEWING MACHINE
Fabric frame for a maneuverable sewing machine. In one example embodiment, a fabric frame for a maneuverable sewing machine includes a left side rail, a right side rail, a front rail permanently connected to the left side and right side rails, and a rear rail detachably connectable to the left side and right side rails. The left side, right side, front, and rear rails define left side, right side, front, and rear boundaries, respectively, of a working area. The left side, right side, front, and rear rails are configured to support one or more layers of fabric that flow from inside the boundaries of the working area to outside the left side, right side, front, and rear boundaries of the working area.
Longarm quilting machine with batting hammock
A fabric hammock provides storage for feeding a batting layer into a quilting frame. Compared to a conventional supply roll wound onto a roller, the hammock is easily loaded and automatically maintains constant low tension while feeding the batting material to the quilting frame. Compared to a conventional arrangement allowing the batting material to hang down to the floor, the hammock keeps the batting material off the floor and out from underfoot.
HOOP FRAME AND ZONE TO ZONE METHOD FOR QUILTING
A hoop frame unit having a frame support structure, a hoop frame assembly, and a machine carriage assembly. The hoop frame assembly has a front fabric retainer, a rear fabric retainer, a first end retainer, and a second end retainer. Retainer clips mate with retainer seats on each of the retainers to secure fabric zones of quilt cores in place for machine sewing. The machine carriage assembly is supported by a front carriage track and a rear carriage track which are affixed on opposing ends to the frame support structure. The machine carriage assembly incorporates a lateral carriage element for carriage lateral movement, and a pair of longitudinal tracks on the lateral carriage element to provide for machine longitudinal movement.
FRAME FABRIC CLIP
A quilting frame unit for supporting a quilt core to be sewn by a quilting machine includes a frame support structure, a frame assembly, and quilt core retention members. The frame support structure is adapted to support a machine carriage assembly that provides for lateral and longitudinal movement of the quilting machine. The frame assembly is affixed to the frame support structure. The quilt core retention members are configured to selectively couple with the frame assembly with the quilt core draped over to retain the quilt core to the frame assembly.
Devices and related methods for maintaining woven material in fixed orientation
Devices and related methods for, among other things, maintaining the warp/weft threads of a backing layer of material (e.g., fabric) in a fixed orientation while being sewed are described and provided.
