VERTICAL FULL-ROTATION SHUTTLE, STITCHES MADE BY VERTICAL FULL-ROTATION SHUTTLE AND STITCH FORMING METHOD
The present invention relates to a vertical full-rotation shuttle, which leads a feed-side string portion of a needle thread loop to be wound around and hooked to a bobbin thread from one side of a bobbin case to the other side thereof according to the rotation of a hook part, and leads a stitch-side string portion of a needle thread to the surface of the bobbin case at one side of the bobbin case, such that the feed-side string portion of the needle thread turns the bobbin thread around and the needle thread loop jumps over the bobbin case so as to form complete stitches

Sewing machine
A presser foot 12c of a sewing machine is provided with a main body 210, a swayingly reciprocating mechanism section 230, and a thread hooking rod drive motor 240. The swayingly reciprocating mechanism section 230 has a thread hooking rod 236, and a needle thread receiving section for fixing a needle thread together with the thread hooking rod 236 is provided inside a leading-end structure section 216 of the main body 210. As a result of driving of the thread hooking rod drive motor 240, the swayingly reciprocating mechanism section 230 reciprocally moves while swaying with respect to the main body 210. When a thread take-up lever pulls up the needle thread, a circular movement arm which performs rotation movement while hooking the needle thread adjusts a rotational angle of the circular movement arm, thereby enabling adjustment of a length of a needle thread in one preceding stitch.

Automatic thread tensioning
A system and method are provided for selectively controlling a thread tension in a quilting machine. The thread tensioner is moveable to a reduced tension configuration in response to an actuator, wherein the actuator is sized to be located within an existing form factor. A controller can be connected to the actuator to regulate the thread tension in response to a sewing translation and a non-sewing translation of the sewing head relative to a workpiece.
