Material aligner
Various examples are provided related to transporting and sewing material in, e.g., automation of sewing robots. An automated sewing process feed control system is disclosed in which a material aligner is utilized. An omni-chain material aligner can include a circular roller chain in which the rollers allow for a controlling force to be applied to a material. An omni-belt material aligner can include a belt with attached perpendicular rollers which allow feed control and active motorized steering control. The material aligner can control the pressure applied onto the material to facilitate control of feeding the material.

Sewing machine
A needle bar 4 is supported by a needle bar supporter in a manner freely movable up and down relative to a frame. A crank 2 is fixed to an upper shaft 1, rotates with the upper shaft 1, and an output end thereof moves circularly. A crank rod 3 is connected to the crank 2 in a freely rotatable manner. A connection rod 8 is connected to an intermediate portion of the crank rod 3 in a freely rotatable manner, and is connected to the needle bar 4 in a freely rotatable manner. A length of the needle bar 4 and a length from a connecting position of the connection rod 8 and the crank rod 3 to a slider 7 differ. When the crank 2 circularly moves, the connecting position of the connection rod 8 and the crank rod 3 draws a trajectory of an ellipse.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR AUTOMATED ORNAMENTAL DECORATIVE STITCHING
Disclosed is an ornamental chain stitching head, including: an upper head assembly, the upper head assembly controls movement of a needle bar and a walking foot mechanism; a walking foot eccentric configured to allow adjustment of a foot lift while a stitch length eccentric is configured to allow for adjustment of both a walking foot and a needle bar advancement via regulation of a rock frame the determines a length of a stitch created by the ornamental chain stitching head; a lower head assembly; and a needle bar cam assembly that drives rotation of the needle bar during each stitch cycle of the ornamental chain stitching head to achieve desired stitch patterns, the needle bar cam assembly is driven directly by an upper shaft through a pair of gears that reduce the needle bar cam assembly speed according to a size ratio of the pair of gears.

SEWING MACHINE
A needle plate attaching/detaching mechanism includes: a needle plate fixing portion rotatably provided below a needle plate mounted on a sewing machine main body, and movable between a fixed position fixing the needle plate to the sewing machine main body and a non-fixed position where the fixing is released; a driving gear jointly rotatably coupled to the needle plate fixing portion; a transmission mechanism switchable between a transmission state transmitting driving force from a motor to the driving gear and a disconnection state disconnecting the transmission; and an operating member including a manual gear transmitting manual operating force to the driving gear. When the operating member is non-operating, the transmission mechanism is set to the transmission state, and the manual gear is disconnected from the driving gear. In the operating state, the operating member switches the transmission mechanism from transmission to disconnection, and the manual and driving gears are coupled.

Sewing machine
A sewing machine of the present embodiment comprises a movement amount detector which detects a movement amount of fabric, a sewing machine motor serving as a rotary drive source of an upper shaft which applies vertical movement to a needle bar, a shaft angle detector which detects a shaft angle of an output shaft of the upper shaft or the sewing machine motor, and a controller which controls the sewing machine motor based on the detection of the movement amount detector and performs controls of maintaining a constant stitch length. The controller performs controls of maintaining the constant stitch length, by a movement amount of the fabric detected by the movement amount detector in a shaft angle section where a sewing needle is not stuck into a cloth, based on the detection by the shaft angle detector.

SINGLE CHAIN STITCH SEWING DEVICE
This single chain stitch sewing device is provided with a sewing mechanism provided on a front end arm of a delivery robot. The sewing mechanism comprises a sewing motor for supplying power to sewing needles and loopers. When the sewing motor is energized, power is transmitted to the sewing needles via a first power transmission mechanism, this causing the sewing needles to move reciprocally. At the same time, power is transmitted to the loopers via a second power transmission mechanism to rotate the loopers. Accordingly, sewing is performed. The loopers are provided at an end of a post bed on the side closer to the sewing needles.
