Medical support device
A medical support device includes an arm having a drill attached at a tip part of the arm, a first position obtainer obtaining a representative position of the drill attached to the arm, a second position obtainer obtaining a bury start position, and a controller. The controller controls the arm and applies a burying reaction force to the drill in a burying direction, i.e., a direction from the bury start position to an inside of a implant area, when the representative position of the drill obtained by the first position obtainer is at the inside of the implant area relative to the bury start position.

Dental Chair Cover Kit
A dental chair cover kit is provided. The kit includes a dental chair cover having a cover body configured to cover a portion of a back rest of a dental chair, a headrest pocket configured to receive a headrest of the dental chair, an extendable neck member interconnecting the cover body to the headrest pocket, and a bib removably affixed to the cover body. The pocket includes an interior volume sized to receive the headrest of the dental chair and an opening for providing access to the interior volume. The extendable neck member includes an accordion fold biased to a first collapsed position and extendable to a second extended position for enabling extension of the cover body relative to the headrest pocket. The bib includes a strap for removably securing the bib to a user and a slot configured to removably receive and retain an item on the bib.
Dental care unit, control of the dental care unit and dental care room
Structures of a dental care unit used in dental care work are disclosed. A frame part of the dental care unit has one or more components to attach a vertically extending support part, and a cover structure of the frame part has at least a first and a second cover part. The support part extends vertically essentially from an area of a seam locus between the cover parts, whereto is arranged a seam element. The seam element is preferably arranged to emit light as controlled by a control system of the dental care unit. A dental care unit like this is specifically applicable for use in a dental care room or premises having several dental care units.
RIGHT/LEFT SYMMETRICAL INSTRUMENT AND SUCTION HOSE ADAPTERS
A dental treatment unit with a water unit including a water collector with an inlet for water and cleaning chemicals and an outlet; a removable instrument hose adapter for plugging into a first slot of the water collector, the instrument hose adapter having one or more openings for connecting instrument hoses. In the plugged-in state the openings are in fluid communication with the outlet. The dental treatment unit also includes; a removable suction hose adapter for plugging into a second slot of the water collector, the suction hose adapter having one or more openings for connecting suction hoses, in the plugged-in state the openings are in fluid communication with the inlet. Further, the instrument hose adapter and the suction hose adapter are designed to be interchangeable with one another, so that each can be optionally plugged into the first slot or into the second slot.

Method of determining wear on a dental scaler tool and tool holder therefor
A method in which a digital picture of the tip of a dental scaler tool and other uniquely identifying characteristics is used to measure the extent of wear on the tool. Unique characteristics of the dental scaler tool, such as color and shape of the grip, narrow a set of reference images to a subset of likely matching tip reference images. A digital contour of the worn tip is isolated. Characteristics of the physical shape of each available tips have been stored in a digital library of reference images. The same tip shape characteristics are developed for the tip contour that were stored for each reference image. The digital profile of the worn tip and a matching, selected reference image of the tip from a library of digitally overlaid. An accurate measurement of the extent of wear of the insert tip is made and displayed.

MODULAR DENTAL TOOL AND DOCKING STATION
A modular dental system, methods for controlling a modular dental tool, a dental system, a control module, and a treatment unit. In one embodiment, the modular dental system includes a modular dental system including a control module and a battery module. The control module includes a first end, a second end, a control sub-system, and a charging sub-system. The control sub-system is configured to communicatively couple to an attachment, detect an attachment identifier associated with the attachment when the attachment is removably attached to the first end of the control module, and control the attachment based on the attachment identifier. The battery module is configured to removably attach to the second end of the control module.
