METHOD FOR THE TREATMENT OF A TEXTILE SUBSTRATE, AND DEVICES FOR CARRYING OUT SAID METHOD
20180119323 · 2018-05-03 ·

A method for the treatment of a textile substrate is described, in which the substrate is arranged in a treatment device and treated with an aqueous treatment bath. Here the moisture of the textile substrate is adjusted to a predetermined moisture in the beginning of the treatment, whereby the treatment bath volume to be sprayed on the respective subject and per time unit is determined exactly, so that the textile subject provides the defined predetermined moisture at the end of the treatment. The therefore used devices enables the realization of the method for textile substrates designed as a fabric strand, a wide fabric web package and a fabric package.

Method of manufacturing an implantable film and prothesis comprising such a film

A method for manufacturing an implantable film and a prosthesis comprising such a film The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a non porous film intended to be implanted in the human body, said method comprising the following steps: preparation of a first film, called intermediate film, via gelling of a starting solution comprising at least one polymer selected in the group consisting of collagen, glycosaminoglycans, and mixtures thereof, immersion of said intermediate film in an alkaline composition comprising at least one C.sub.1-C.sub.4 alcohol, drying of the film obtained at the end of the immersing step. The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing a prosthesis comprising a textile support and such a film.

METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SURFACE-MODIFIED FIBER MATERIAL, AND SURFACE-MODIFIED FIBER MATERIAL

The present invention provides a method of manufacturing a highly functional surface-modified fibrous material with high added value, to which a novel functionality is imparted while making use of the characteristics inherent in the fibrous material, by modifying the surface of a natural fibrous material derived from an animal or a plant, or of a synthetic fiber; and a surface-modified fibrous material thereby obtained. The method of manufacturing a surface-modified fibrous material according to the invention includes attaching an inorganic material on the surface of a fibrous material by a sol-gel reaction, while allowing the fibrous material to move via an air stream. Preferably, an atmospheric-pressure low-temperature plasma is further applied to the surface of the fibrous material on the surface of which the inorganic material has been attached, while allowing the fibrous material to move via an air stream.

Impregnated Cloth

A knitted spacer fabric has a tightly knitted bottom layer, a more loosely knitted upper layer and linking fibres extending across the space between the lower and upper faces. Settable material, e.g. cement, is introduced into the space between the upper and lower faces and can be caused to set by the addition of a liquid, e.g. water. Until set, the fabric is flexible and can be shaped but after the material in space has set, the fabric is rigid and can be used as a structural element in a wide range of situations. The bottom layer has an extension that extends beyond the upper face and is connected to the upper face by elastic connecting fibres that draw the extension towards the other face, thereby at least partly closing the space at the edge of the cloth and preventing the settable material from spilling out. In addition, the packing of the settable material and maximum space between the faces are such that only a predetermined amount of liquid can be accommodated within the space and that amount is matched to the water required to set the cement.
