Virtual reality store with previews of laser-finished garments

A system allows a user to create new designs for apparel and preview these designs before manufacture. Software and lasers are used in finishing apparel to produce a desired wear pattern or other design. The system provides feedback to the user on how their designs may appear in a virtual store or storefront, such as through virtual reality or augment reality techniques.

FABRIC HAVING UNEVEN-SURFACE DESIGN, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME

Provided is a fabric to which an uneven-surface design which is fine and has flexibility and wear resistance is imparted. The fabric has a polyurethane resin applied portion on at least a portion of a surface side of the fabric, and an uneven-surface design shaped on the polyurethane resin applied portion. The polyurethane resin applied portion is a region in which a polyurethane resin which is applied is present, and the polyurethane resin permeates between the fibers at least in a surface portion of the fabric such that a surface of the fabric is formed by the polyurethane resin and the fibers. In the polyurethane resin applied portion, an application depth of the polyurethane resin is 50 to 200 μm, a filling ratio of the polyurethane resin is 15% to 45%, and a filling ratio of the fibers of the fabric is 50% to 80%.

FABRIC BEARING DESIGN AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING SAME

Provided is a fabric having a novel design in which an uneven-surface design is partially formed by embossing. A polyurethane resin is applied to the surface of the fabric having, on the surface, a low fineness portion and a high fineness portion having a higher single fiber fineness than that of the low fineness portion, the fabric is dried; and embossing is performed on the surface of the fabric. By performing the embossing, while an uneven-surface design is not imparted to the high fineness portion by the embossing and a non-uneven-surface design portion 3 is formed, the uneven-surface design is imparted to the low fineness portion by the embossing and an uneven-surface design portion 2 is formed.

Creating a finishing pattern on a garment by laser

Software and lasers are used in finishing apparel to produce a desired wear pattern or other design. A technique includes determining a fabric's response to a laser, capturing an initial image of a wear pattern on a garment, and processing the initial image to obtain a working image in grayscale. The working image is further processed to obtain a difference image by comparing each pixel relative to a dark reference. The difference image is converted to a laser values image by using the previously determined fabric response to the laser.

Nonwoven with an embossed mesh pattern

A nonwoven includes: framework fibers; an at least in part fused thermoplastic material; and a thermally embossed mesh pattern having a plurality of intersecting embossed grooves, between which a plurality of embossed elevations are arranged. At least the framework fibers are staple fibers. An equivalent diameter of the embossed elevations is smaller than 50% of a fiber length of the framework fibers. A ratio of a width of the embossed grooves to a thickness of the nonwoven in a region of the embossed elevations is less than or equal to 4/5 A ratio of the width of the embossed grooves to a thickness of the nonwoven in a region of the embossed grooves is from 0.5 to 2.

FABRIC WITH DYNAMIC VISUAL EFFECT
20170327986 · 2017-11-16 ·

A fabric includes a base, a pattern layer provided on the base, a spacer layer provided on the pattern layer, and a mesh fabric layer laid over the spacer layer. The pattern layer forms a moire pattern using at least one first pattern unit and at least one second pattern unit. When the fabric is observed through the mesh fabric layer in a first viewing direction toward the base, the at least one first pattern unit is visible because the mesh fabric layer covers the at least one second pattern unit. When the fabric is observed through the mesh fabric layer in a second viewing direction toward the base, the at least one second pattern unit is visible because the at least one first pattern unit is covered instead.

DECORATIVE FABRIC
20170297365 · 2017-10-19 ·

A decorative fabric is disclosed having a plurality of tiles attached to a fabric. The tiles are spaced in relation to each other such as to allow the fabric to be flexible by being bent in any given direction. In one preferred embodiment the plurality of tiles are each a one inch by one inch square and are spaced one eighth of an inch apart from each other when attached to the fabric thereby allowing the fabric to bend and be flexible.

Three-dimensional rendering preview of laser-finished garments

A tool allows a user to create new designs for apparel and preview these designs in three dimensions before manufacture. Software and lasers are used in finishing apparel to produce a desired wear pattern or other design. Based on a laser input file with a pattern, a laser will burn the pattern onto apparel. With the tool, the user will be able to create, make changes, and view images of a design, in real time, before burning by a laser. The tool can be accessed or executes via a Web browser.

Custom apparel products by using fabric templates and laser finishing

Laser finishing of apparel products allows an operating model that reduces finishing cost, lowers carrying costs, increases productivity, shortens time to market, be more reactive to trends, reduce product constraints, reduces lost sales and dilution, and more. Improved aspects include design, development, planning, merchandising, selling, making, and delivering. The model uses fabric templates, each of which can be used to produce a multitude of laser finishes. Operational efficiency is improved.
