Patient support apparatus and accessories therefor
A method of securing a pediatric patient to a patient transport apparatus includes providing an adult harness, coupling the adult harness to the patient support and the frame, providing a pediatric restraint assembly, and coupling the pediatric restraint assembly to the adult harness wherein the pediatric restraint assembly moves with the adult harness.
Surgical universal headrest including skull pin holder assembly
A surgical universal headrest is disclosed. In one embodiment, a body has two lateral wings slidably coupled to the body. Each lateral wing has an arm moveably secured thereto with a range of proximal-to-distal motion with respect to a medial line of the body. The body, lateral wings, and the arms, in cooperative combination, define a support perimeter of adjustable size having an opening therethrough. The support perimeter of adjustable size accommodates patients ranging from premature infants to adults and the opening accommodates an eye-nose-mouth region of a patient ranging from a premature infant to an adult. A skull pin holder assembly is included.

SYSTEM FOR WASHING AND TREATING NEWBORN INFANTS
A system for washing and treating infants includes components for keeping an infant under controlled sterile and warm conditions. The system also includes a device for washing the infant, which has a support frame and a flexible laminar element adapted to be secured thereto. The frame and the laminar element define a housing for receiving the infant while he/she is being washed and/or treated. The housing is adapted to be introduced into the washing and treating components and is accessible from outside. The frame has a single-unit structure composed of tubular members made of a medical-grade sterilizable metal or non-metal material.
Infant patient transfer device with temperature sensor
A patient transfer device is utilized to transport infant patients between locations within a hospital environment. The patient transfer device includes a center, support section and a pair of side sections that can be moved into contact with each other to surround the infant patient. The first and second side sections each include a handle that can be brought into close proximity to each other and can be grasped by a single hand of a clinician. The patient transfer device includes a temperature sensor positioned to provide a temperature measurement of the patient when the patient is received on the patient transfer device. The patient temperature can be displayed on either an integrated display or wirelessly transmitted to an external display device. In this manner, the temperature of the infant can be continuously monitored during transport.
PILLOW FOR BABIES AND/OR INFANTS
A pillow for babies and/or infants includes a deformable core, which is not flat, in order to accommodate the form of the head of the baby or infant. The deformable core includes externally a three-dimensional woven layer surrounding a barrier that is impermeable to gases and liquids in order to prevent gases and liquids from reaching the interior of the core.
CHILD MEDICAL TRANSPORT APPARATUS, ASSEMBLY AND METHOD THEREOF
An assembly of a first and second child transport apparatus is disclosed. Each apparatus may include: a frame having a frame base, at least one wheel, and a handle; at least one brake and a brake rod, wherein the brake rod is attached to the frame, and wherein the at least one brake actionable upon the wheel when the brake rod is actuated; a carriage pivotably attached to the frame; and a foldable backrest pivotably attached to a base of the carriage, wherein, in a nested position, the foldable backrest of the first apparatus is folded down and the carriage of the second apparatus is positioned partially within the carriage of the first apparatus such that the carriage of the second apparatus is disposed partially over the foldable backrest of the first apparatus; and the brake rod of the first apparatus is released by the handle of the second apparatus.
Carriage Accessory
An example carriage accessory includes a base attachment, a top attachment, and a surround for a carriage. In an example, the surround has at least a first tubing member extending from the base attachment to the top attachment, a second tubing member extending from the base attachment to the top attachment. In another example, the surround further has at least a third tubing member extending from the base attachment to the top attachment. In another example, the surround further has at least a fourth tubing member extending from the base attachment to the top attachment. In an example, at least some of the tubing members are oriented perpendicular to each other when the carriage accessory is viewed from top-down.
