WASHING MACHINE APPLIANCE HAVING A REMOVABLE AGITATOR
A washing machine appliance may include a tub, a basket, an impeller base, and an extended post. The basket may be rotatably positioned within the tub. The impeller base may include a mounting face including a threaded bracket defining a mounting thread extending about a rotation axis. The extended post may be removably attached to the impeller base to rotate therewith. The extended post may include a base body extending along the rotation axis between a bottom end proximal to the impeller base and a top end distal to the impeller base. The extended post may also include auger fin extending radially from the base body between the bottom end and the top end. The mating face may be disposed on the bottom end. The mating face may define a mating thread matched to the mounting thread to rotatably enmesh therewith.
WASHER APPLIANCE WITH REMOVABLE AGITATOR POST USING LATCHES AND TORQUE TRANSMITTING SHAPE
A washer appliance includes an impeller and impeller interface. An agitator post is removably positioned upon the impeller interface. A plurality of latches are supported by the agitator post and spaced apart circumferentially. Each latch may be configured for pivoting in and out of one of a plurality of latch recesses provided by the impeller interface when the agitator post is positioned on the impeller interface. Biasing members urge the latch into the latch recesses when the agitator post is positioned on the impeller interface.
WASHER APPLIANCE WITH REMOVABLE AGITATOR POST AND DEPRESSIBLE FEATURES FOR RELEASABLE ATTACHMENT
A washing appliance having a cabinet and a wash tub positioned in the cabinet and defining a wash chamber. A wash drum is rotatably mounted within the wash chamber and is configured for receiving articles for washing. An impeller is positioned in the wash drum. An agitator post is removably received into a an impeller recess using depressible features for releasable attachment. A removable cap can be placed on the top end of the agitator or into the impeller recess.
WASHING MACHINE APPLIANCE HAVING A REMOVABLE AGITATOR
A washing machine appliance or agitation element may include an impeller base and an extended post. The impeller base may include an impeller platform and a mounting face. The mounting face may define a recessed cup. The extended post may be removably attached to the impeller base to rotate therewith. The extended post may define an interior cavity. The extended post may include a mating collar and a connector bar. The mating collar may have a mating face disposed in selective engagement with the mounting face at the recessed cup. The connector bar may include an attachment piston slidably received within the interior cavity radially inward from the mating collar to move between a locked position and an unlocked position. The attachment piston may be in selective engagement with an inner surface of the mating collar at the locked position.
REMOVABLE AGITATOR WITH FABRIC SOFTENER DISPENSER
An agitator is configured to be removably mounted to an impeller mount as a clothes mover. The agitator includes a post having a first end and an opposing second end. A connector is disposed at the first end of the post, the connector being configured to removably attach to a corresponding connector of the impeller mount. A dispenser cap assembly is configured to hold a dispenser cup and to control a lock from the second end of the post. The lock is configured to be adjusted between a locked position in which the agitator is secured to the impeller mount and an unlocked position allowing movement of the agitator with respect to the impeller mount.
WASHING MACHINE APPLIANCE HAVING A REMOVABLE AGITATOR
