APPARATUS INCLUDING ACTUATOR AND/OR HEATER AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SAID APPARATUS

An apparatus includes at least one of an actuator or a heater, and a controller that controls the at least one of the actuator or the heater. The controller: obtains an application defined by a plurality of blocks that drive the at least one of the actuator or the heater; consults a rule that when one block included in two or more given blocks is executed, prohibits at least one of remaining blocks included in the two or more given blocks from not being executed, and modifies the application when the rule applies to a plurality of blocks included in the application; and drives the at least one of the actuator or the heater based on the modified application.

Laundry washing machine weight sensing system

A laundry washing machine includes a weight sensing system including a weight sensor positioned to sense at least a portion of a weight associated with a wash tub and configured to output an associated pulse width modulated (PWM) force signal having a duty cycle that varies with applied force on the weight sensor. A controller of the laundry washing machine includes a state change sensing logic circuit coupled to receive the PWM force signal from the weight sensor and execute an interrupt service routine triggered by each state transition to capture a timestamp associated with each state transition such that the duty cycle of the PWM force signal may be determined using the captured timestamps.

VOLTAGE DOUBLING CIRCUIT FOR LAUNDRY TREATING APPLIANCE WITH HIGH POWER VARIABLE FREQUENCY DRIVE
20230129869 · 2023-04-27 ·

A voltage doubling circuit that increases input voltage to higher output voltage connected to a variable frequency drive. The voltage doubling circuit can include a power input that receives the input voltage from a power source and a first capacitor bank and a second capacitor bank connected with the power input. A current-limiting surge suppressor is positioned between the power input and the first capacitor bank and the second capacitor bank. The current-limiting surge suppressor includes a first current-limiting path and a second bypass path. A drain, when operable, dissipates the charge of the first capacitor bank and the second capacitor bank. A variable frequency drive (VFD) is operable in response to the higher voltage output from the first capacitor bank and the second capacitor bank.

This invention is a combination washer and dryer powered by solar energy. The solar energy unit collects solar energy and converts it into electrical energy which is stored in an energy storage device. The solar energy unit connects to the main enclosure to power the electronic control circuits and the motor in the main enclosure. Within the main enclosure is a second energy storage device. The main enclosure also comprises a receptacle for liquid, detergent, and the clothing bin. The clothing bin is rotated or agitated by a motor according to instructions provided by the electronic control circuit and powered by either the solar panel directly or by one of the two energy storage devices.
