Systems and methods for repositioning a patient
A method and system is provided for repositioning a patient on a transfer surface (e.g., a hospital bed, a stretcher, an imaging system, or the like). The system comprises two rollers positioned on one side of the surface, and a retractable transfer sheet wound around the rollers. The transfer sheet may be unwound from the two rollers to form two layers between the patient and the transfer surface. The patient may then be moved by sliding a top layer of the transfer sheet relative to a second layer of the transfer sheet. After use, the sheet can be retracted around the roller(s), allowing it to be stored in a location that is convenient but out-of-the-way. Such a system may allow a patient to be moved with less force, in less time, with fewer personnel, or with some other benefit.
Reconfigurable pelvic support for surgical frame and method for use thereof
A surgical frame and method for use thereof is provided. The surgical frame is capable of reconfiguration before, during, or after surgery. The surgical frame includes a main beam that can be rotated, raised/lowered, and tilted upwardly/downwardly to afford positioning and repositioning of a patient supported thereon. The surgical frame also includes a pelvic support for supporting a patient during movement of the main beam. The pelvic support is articulable between at least a retracted first position where the pelvic support is withdrawn from the pelvic area of the patient, and an extended second position where the pelvic area is supported thereby.
AIR MAT FOR PREVENTING BEDSORE
An air mat for preventing bedsores includes a cushion part 100 in which at least two or more cell members 110a to 110d are disposed in a row direction, and each of the cell members 110a to 110d has an independent inner space, and is connected with ducts 120a to 120d for supplying air pressure for each cell member to receive air pressure independently, so that expansion and contraction can be performed, a frame member 200 provided with a storage space having an open top surface, a bottom surface and side surfaces surrounding the bottom surface, and a control part 300 that controls the opening/closing time of air input/output valves by an electronic control method by setting target air pressure by time for each of the cell member 110a to 110d of the cushion part 100 to control the cell members 110a to 110d, respectively.
Integrated suspended load control apparatuses, systems, and methods
Load control apparatuses, systems and methods to control a location, orientation, or rotation of a suspended load by imparting thrust vectors to the suspended load or to a structure that holds the load. The load control apparatuses, systems and method may be integrated into a structure that holds a load, such as a rescue litter. The load control apparatuses, systems, and methods may be modular. The modular load control apparatuses, systems, and methods may be secured to a load or to a structure that holds the load.
PATIENT SUPPORT APPARATUS TRANSPORT HANDLE
A patient support apparatus includes a frame. A vertical transport structure may be coupled with the frame. A grip is coupled with the vertical transport structure and at least one grip sensor is coupled to the grip on the vertical transport structure. A controller determines a vertical position of a user applied force applied to the at least one grip sensor and the controller activates a power drive mode upon determining that the push force has reached a threshold value corresponding to the vertical position of the user applied force and propel patient support apparatus.
Patient Securement System for the Surgical Trendelenburg Position
A patient securing overlay is provided that includes a sheet of fabric for supporting a patient's torso on a surgical table. The sheet of fabric has an upper surface configured to face the patient and a lower surface configured to face a surgical table mattress or underbody support. The sheet of fabric includes friction enhancing elements applied to at least a portion of the upper surface thereof. The sheet of fabric can include an extension at a foot end of the sheet of fabric that provides material to be tucked under a foot end of the surgical table mattress or underbody support for securing the foot end of the sheet of fabric to the surgical table mattress or underbody support. The extension can include one or more friction enhancing elements.

Portable Bathing Tub
A portable bathing tub is shown and described. The portable bathing tub includes a frame having a housing placed on frame. The frame has a plurality of casters located on a bottom side of the frame. The housing is made up of a plurality of sidewalls and a top portion. The top portion includes a tub portion and a sink portion. There is a retractable shower fluidly connected to a water inlet source. There is further a grey water tank location within the housing supported by the frame.
Tiltable patient-supporting apparatus and method of tilting a patient-supporting apparatus
A patient-supporting apparatus includes a lifting apparatus. The lifting apparatus includes an upper part, a lower part, and a lifting linkage. The lifting linkage connects the upper part to the lower part and has at least one scissors-form sub-linkage having a central articulation. A point of rotation of the central articulation is arranged in a displaceable manner such that the upper part may be tilted in a transverse direction.
