The laundry apparatus can provide one or more of: ultraviolet light, ultrasound, ozone, carbon dioxide, and a surfactant source to clean the garments. The laundry apparatus can be used to clean smart garments including one or more of electronics, electronic sensors, chips, wires, connectors, and/or conductive materials. The laundry apparatus can include an electronic control apparatus configured to transmit data corresponding to the laundry apparatus cleaning conditions and cleanliness of the garments wirelessly to an external computing device.

Ozone injection systems
10801151 · 2020-10-13 · ·

An ozone laundry system that injects ozone into the chemical injection system in order to allow the system to inject ozone as other cleaning chemicals are injected into the washer. This allows ozone to be injected through the wash cycle rather than just during the initial fill phase and additional avoids the expense and maintenance of adding ozone recirculation plumping to an ozone laundry system. Accordingly, ozone levels may be maintained at superior levels throughout the wash cycle.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETECTING AND REMOVING ODOR AND BACTERIA FROM A SEALED VOLUME OF AN APPLIANCE USING OZONE
20200289693 · 2020-09-17 ·

A method and system are provided that include features for operating an appliance in an odor removal cycle. In one aspect, an appliance has a housing defining a sealable volume and includes an ozone generator, an ozone detection device, and a controller. In an odor removal cycle, the controller causes the ozone generator to inject, at a predetermined injection interval, predefined dosages of ozone into the sealable volume of the appliance. The controller monitors the concentration level within the sealable volume after each injection based on inputs received from the ozone detection device. The controller ascertains when the concentration level reaches a maximum concentration level threshold, and when this occurs, the controller can cease the injections and can activate one or more ozone removal devices to remove the ozone from the sealable volume to a safe level.

MICROBUBBLE GENERATOR, WASHING MACHINE, AND HOME APPLIANCE

A microbubble generator is formed from at least two of a flow path constituting section that constitutes a flow path through which a liquid is passable, and a decompression member including a colliding section that is fitted into the flow path constituting section and locally reduces a cross-sectional area of the flow path to generate microbubbles in the liquid that passes through the flow path. This microbubble generator comprises includes an outlet connecting to a negative pressure producing section of the decompression member, an outside air introduction port provided in the flow path constituting section to introduce outside air, and an outside air introduction path communicating between the outside air introduction port and the outlet.

Method and system for dispensing laundry chemistry based upon ozone concentration
10676854 · 2020-06-09 · ·

Method and system for system for controlling dispensing of laundry chemistry from a laundry chemistry dispenser to a washing machine to minimize use of the laundry chemistry. The method and the system comprise an ozone monitor for determining a current ozone concentration level in the washing machine at a time that the washing machine requires dispensing of the laundry chemistry from the laundry chemistry dispenser; a control panel being coupled to the ozone monitor for receiving a signal indicative of the currently determined ozone concentration level in the washing machine; and the control panel is coupled to the laundry chemistry dispenser for controlling a dispensing operation of the laundry chemistry from the laundry chemistry dispenser based upon the currently determined ozone concentration level in the washing machine. When the ozone concentration level is low, less laundry chemistry is dispensed while when the level is high, more laundry chemistry is dispensed.

Spray nozzle using advanced oxidation

A method for dispensing a sanitizing composition comprising a carrier fluid involves passing a carrier fluid under pressure through a nozzle and a chamber mounted to the nozzle. The chamber receives the carrier fluid from the nozzle and has an opening on an opposite side from the nozzle through which the carrier fluid exits the chamber. Ozone is provided to an interior of the chamber in the presence of the carrier fluid, and is irradiated with ultraviolet radiation as the carrier fluid and the ozone pass through an interior of the chamber.

System and method for varying ozone production based upon ozone demand
11879198 · 2024-01-23 ·

An ozone production method and system for producing ozone which comprises a plurality of washing machines, an ozone generator for generating ozone, and an ozone supply conduit for supplying ozone from the ozone generator to the washing machines. Each washing machine has a respective venturi, located between a water source and an inlet to the washing machine. The venturi is connected to the ozone supply conduit so that, as water flows through the respective venturi, such water flow creates a negative pressure within the ozone supply conduit. At least one sensor is located so as to detect the negative pressure created within the ozone supply conduit. The at least one sensor is connected to a control box, coupled to the ozone generator, which controls ozone production of the ozone generator depending upon the negative pressure generated within the ozone supply conduit.

Mobile firefighter gear cleaner
11879203 · 2024-01-23 · ·

A mobile vehicle that is self-contained and equipped to wash firefighter gear at the firefighter's station. The vehicle would be on a dispatched network and be activated after an incident, and for scheduled cleanings on a regular basis; the vehicle having the required equipment to clean all contaminated gear by use of a sonic cleaner, extractors, and dryers. The process includes monitoring the life of the gear and decontaminating the gear in accordance with the gear manufacturer's recommendations. Gear that has been cleaned is reassembled, wrapped, sealed and placed back into a fireman's station, giving the firefighter the assurance that their firefighting gear was cleaned, sanitized, and serviced per the manufacturer's recommendations.

Ozone and Hydroxyl Injection Systems

An ozone and/or hydroxyl laundry system that injects ozone and/or hydroxyls into the chemical injection system in order to allow the system to inject ozone and/or hydroxyls as other cleaning chemicals are injected into the washer. This allows ozone and/or hydroxyls to be injected through the wash cycle rather than just during the initial fill phase and additional avoids the expense and maintenance of adding ozone and/or hydroxyls recirculation plumping to an ozone and/or hydroxyls laundry system. Accordingly, ozone and/or hydroxyl levels may be maintained at superior levels throughout the wash cycle.
