The device can also be used to aid in the transfer of a patient from one location to another. The device can be used in a variety of different configurations to provide different forms of patient support and training.
IMPROVED MOBILE LIFTING SYSTEM FOR DISABLED PERSON
A mobile lifting system comprising: a base including a plurality of spaced apart legs extending substantially radially relative to a post extending from the base wherein one or more legs of the base are movable between an expanded stabilizing condition and a retracted condition, the post movably supporting a head configured for rotation about the post, the head having a lifting arrangement attached thereto, the lifting arrangement being arranged for effecting upward and downward movement of a body support arrangement to raise and lower a disabled person during use, the body support arrangement being movable between a supporting position and an inoperative position, the body support arrangement being connected to the base through an electro-mechanical linkage combination which moves the base into the stabilizing condition when the body support arrangement is in the supporting position and moves the base into the retracted condition when the body support arrangement is in the inoperative position; the head being rotatable about the post for rotational movement of the body support arrangement to transfer a person between two seating positions which are angularly displaced and in proximity of the post; wherein end portions of the plurality of legs of the base are arranged substantially equally spaced apart on a diameter about the post when the base is in the stabilizing condition and wherein a first plurality of movable legs are movably attached to a centrally located base housing and a second plurality of fixed legs are fixedly attached to the base housing and wherein each of the movable legs is movable independently with respect to any other of the first plurality of movable legs from a first radial position to a second radial position to bring the base into a partially stabilizing condition; and an actuator configured to be operable by the disabled person to effect movement of the body support arrangement to move the body support arrangement upward and downward on the lifting arrangement and to rotate the head about the post, the post being located substantially at a centre of the base to provide stability as the body support arrangement on the head is rotated about the post while supporting the person and wherein the actuator and the electro-mechanical linkage are operably coupled to move the body support arrangement between a supporting position and an inoperative position.
Pneumatic chair jack
A multi-cell inflatable jack includes a plurality of jack elements. Each of the plurality of jack elements includes a body having a predetermined perimeter shape and defining a perimeter chamber and a central chamber. A valve is coupled to the body and configured to provide air flow to one of the perimeter chamber or the central chamber. A plurality of flow control stringers are located between the first chamber portion and the second chamber portion and are configured to control an air flow rate into each of the perimeter chamber and the central chamber. At least one fastener is formed on the body and configured to attach the jack element to at least one additional jack element in a multi-cell stack.
ASSISTANCE APPARATUS
An assistance apparatus (1) includes: a base (2); a support arm section (3) that can support a part of the body of the care receiver and that is provided to the base and can perform motion with respect to the standing direction for causing the care receiver to stand or the seating direction for causing the care receiver to be seated; an actuator (5) that is connected to the base and the support arm section; and a buffer mechanism (7) that is disposed at one of members from the base to the support arm section coupled via the actuator or is disposed between members connected to each other and that absorbs at least a part of a drive force of the actuator when an external force in the standing direction is applied by drive of the actuator to the support arm section performing motion toward the seating direction.
Compact treatment, examination and waiting station
A device that adapts/upgrades an existing, or new medical facility to provide a method of examining and treating occupants in a safe, efficient manner which is one quarter the size of conventional examination and treatment spaces through the use of a system that utilizes a modular frame and compartments to organize medical utilities, services and equipment to be more space efficient than conventional examination and treatment spaces. The frame and compartments have a shaped surface that focuses acoustic energy to increase intelligibility between a caregiver and the occupant and at the same time reduce ambient acoustic energy propagation. Additionally, the device can be disassembled, moved and reassembled easily. Further, the surface over the compartments creates a safety barrier between expensive and delicate utilities that mitigates tampering, accidental damage and reduces the possibility of infectious disease transmission.
Caring Device
A caring device includes an adjustment command section configured to give a command for an adjustment of a standing start position of a support member, a standing operation command section configured to give a command for assistance of the standing operation using the support member, and a control device. The control device perform a cooperative operation of the first arm and the second arm so that the support member moves in an up-down direction when a command of the adjustment command section is received. The control device performs a cooperative operation of the first arm and the second arm so that a reference position of the support member moves along different movement trajectories in accordance with the standing start position adjusted by the command of the adjustment command section when a command of the standing operation command section is received.
BED PLATFORM ASSEMBLY COMPRISING A PLURALITY OF DIFFERENT, INDIVIDUALLY AND INDEPENDENTLY CONTROLLED PIVOTALLY OR LINEARLY MOVABLE SECTIONS FOR AUTOMATICALLY MOVING A PERSON FROM A SUPINE POSITION TO SITTING AND STANDING POSITIONS, AS WELL AS FOR AUTOMATICALLY MOVING THE PERSON IN A REVERSE MODE FROM STANDING AND SITTING POSITIONS TO A SUPINE POSITION
A bed platform assembly, which may be used, for example, within hospitals, nursing homes, senior care or specialized care facilities, or the like, comprises a plurality of different, individually controlled pivotally or otherwise movable sections so as to automatically assist a person to be moved from a supine position to sitting and standing positions such that the person can be assisted by hospital, nursing home, or other facility staff or personnel to participate in, for example, ambulatory or physical therapy sessions as may be needed or required such that the person can heal or recover from an accident, surgery, or the like. Conversely, the bed platform assembly can be operated in a reverse mode so as to automatically assist the person to be moved from standing and sitting positions back to the supine position.
HYPERBARIC OXYGEN CHAMBER MANUFACTURED UTILIZING ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING
The present invention relates to an adaptive hyperbaric oxygen chamber designed to function as a medical apparatus in order to treat a subject suffering from any FDA approved medical condition. The hyperbaric oxygen chamber is designed and constructed in such a way that only one subject can be allowed to sit in an upright seated position, unless the pediatric seat is occupied by a pediatric patient and the adult is seated in the standard seat to accompany the pediatric patient. The upright patient seat when treating a pediatric patient is in the extended position while the occupant enters and exits the mono medical hyperbaric oxygen chamber and the seat is returned to the fixed position inside the hyperbaric oxygen chamber while the overhead door is closed, the seat being operated by an extension device. The hyperbaric oxygen chamber is made, using additive manufacturing technology. The hyperbaric oxygen chamber provides two hundred to five hundred liters of one hundred percent oxygen per minute to the pressure vessel. A nitrogen scrubber is connected to a discharge air duct of this hyperbaric oxygen chamber that converts the oxygen being expelled through the air duct to one hundred percent nitrogen.
Sit assist device
A sit assist device (1) comprising a base (2) adapted to be supported by a seating surface, and a sitting platform (3) hingedly connected to the base (2) and movable between a raised position and a lowered position to assist a user to sit down onto and to stand up from the sitting platform (3). A primary biasing means (4) provides a primary resilient bias to resiliently bias the sitting platform (3) from the lowered position to the raised position over an operating range, thereby moving the sitting platform (3) from the lowered position to the raised position over the operating range as the user stands up from the sitting platform (3) and slowing the movement of the sitting platform (3) from the raised position to the lowered position over the operating range as the user sits down onto the sitting platform (3). A secondary biasing means (5) provides a secondary resilient bias to supplement the primary resilient bias over a portion of the operating range adjacent the lowered position.
