LINT FILTER CLOGGING DETECTION IN A DRYER APPLIANCE USING COMPRESSOR TEMPERATURE AND REFERIGERANT MASS FLOW
A laundry appliance uses a determination of a frequency of compressor temperature response, refrigerant mass flow rate, or both to determine accumulation of lint in a filter. Based on the determination, various corrective actions can be taken including notifying the user, shutting off the appliance, initiating an automatic cleaning sequence for one or more lint filters, and combinations thereof.
LAUNDRY TREATING APPARATUS
Disclosed is a laundry treating apparatus including a cabinet, a drum, a fluid circulator, an air circulator including a humidity sensor, a driver, and a controller, wherein a drying operation includes an efficiency increasing process for increasing drying efficiency inside the drum, an efficiency maintaining process for maintaining the drying efficiency, and an efficiency decreasing process for reducing the drying efficiency, wherein the controller performs the drying operation while distinguishing the efficiency increasing process, the efficiency maintaining process, and the efficiency decreasing process from each other using a measured value of the humidity sensor.
METHOD FOR CONTROLLING LAUNDRY TREATING APPARATUS
Disclosed is a method for controlling a laundry treating apparatus including an efficiency increasing operation and an efficiency maintaining operation, wherein the efficiency increasing operation includes a first efficiency increasing operation, wherein the controller controls the first driver such that an RPM of the drum corresponds to a first drum RPM and controls the second driver such that an RPM of the fan corresponds to a first fan RPM to perform a first efficiency increasing process, and a second efficiency increasing operation, wherein, after the first efficiency increasing operation, the controller controls the first driver such that the RPM of the drum corresponds to the first drum RPM and controls the second driver such that the RPM of the fan corresponds to a second fan RPM higher than the first fan RPM to perform a second efficiency increasing process.
LAUNDRY TREATMENT APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
A laundry treatment apparatus includes: a cabinet, a drum rotatably disposed within the cabinet, a suction duct to which air discharged from the drum flows, a circulation flow path connected to the suction duct and configured to guide the air from the suction duct, an inflow duct connecting the circulation flow path to the drum such that the air received from the circulation flow path flows back to the drum through the inflow duct, a circulation fan configured guide the air between the suction duct and the inflow duct, a heat exchanger that is disposed at the circulation flow path and that is configured to perform heat exchange with the air, and an UV sterilizer disposed at a space that is defined in the circulation flow path at a position above a front surface of the heat exchanger, the sterilizer being configured to irradiate UV light to the heat exchanger.
Dryer appliance and ventilation assembly
A dryer appliance or ventilation assembly, as provided herein, may include an impeller, a housing, a front duct, and a sealing gasket. The impeller may be rotatable about an axial direction to urge a flow of air. The housing may enclose the impeller within a cabinet. The housing may define an entrance upstream of the impeller to permit air into the housing. The front duct may include an attachment collar defining a duct outlet. The attachment collar may be received within the entrance. The sealing gasket may be radially positioned between the attachment collar and the entrance.
Laundry treating apparatus
A laundry treating apparatus comprising a tub configured to store water, and a drum rotatably disposed inside the tub is provided. The drum is configured to store laundry therein and comprises a first surface, a second surface, and a circumferential surface. The apparatus further comprises a first body comprising a first body hub and a first body arm, a second body comprising a second body hub and a second body arm, and a connecting portion connecting the first body to the second body in a manner that forms a path between the first body and the second body to allow water to pass therethrough. A rotary shaft of the drum is fixed to the tub.
