Person support apparatus
A person support apparatus with an extendable mattress, a night light message display system, a screen key pendant, egress handle siderails, and various other features. The extendable mattress includes hinged extensions along the sides of the extendable mattress that are moved from a nested position to the extension position. The screen key pendant includes a plurality of screen keys that can be pressed to cycle through various control modes for the person support apparatus. The night light message display system can be configured to display a message or image on the floor communicating information to the person and/or alerting the person as to when they are able to exit the bed.
AUXILIARY DRIVE DEVICE FOR A WHEELCHAIR
An auxiliary drive device for a wheelchair has at least one freely pivotable electrically driven drive wheel and a coupling mechanism for coupling the auxiliary drive device to the wheelchair. The coupling mechanism includes a movable locking element which is movably supported in the coupling mechanism. The movable locking element can be in a locking position in which it causes locking in a positive-locking manner so that the auxiliary drive device is coupled to the wheelchair and, by operation of a handle, the locking element can be moved in a release position in which uncoupling of the auxiliary drive device from the wheelchair is possible.
Toilet Seat Lift Assembly
A toilet seat lift assembly includes a toilet seat that is mountable to a toilet and the toilet seat has a lower half and an upper half. A set of first brackets is each movably coupled between the lower half and the upper half of the toilet seat. A set of second brackets is each movably coupled between the lower half and the upper half of the toilet seat. A lifting unit is movably coupled to the upper half of the toilet seat for urging the upper half into a home position or a deployed position. A remote control is in communication with the lifting unit for remotely actuating the lifting unit into the lowering condition or the lifting condition. In this way the remote control facilitates a person to either lift or lower themselves onto the toilet.
System for managing patient support apparatuses and patient fall risks
A caregiver assistance system is disclosed for assisting a caregiver to ensure the beds of high fall risk patients are in desired states for reducing the likelihood of a patient falling. The system may also help the caregiver to perform rounding tasks. The system comprises a server in communication with the patients' beds and one or more mobile electronic devices (e.g. smart phones). The mobile devices receive answers to a plurality of fall risk questions and forward them to the server. The server generates a patient fall risk assessment from the answers, determines a desired state for fall-risk components of the bed if the patient fall risk assessment indicates the patient has a high risk of falling, compares the states of the fall-risk components to corresponding desired states, and issues an alert at the mobile device if any of the fall-risk components are not in their desired state.
BED DEVICE
A bed device includes: an operation section that receives an operation input; a controller that controls a movement of the bed in accordance with the operation input; a detector that detects a position of a patient on the bed; and, a limitation table that stores a limitation area set on the bed in association with a limitation content, wherein when the position of the patient detected by the detector is included in the limitation area, the limitation content is read out from the limitation table so as to control the controller in accordance with the limitation content. With this configuration, it is possible to provide a higher safety bed device which can not only notify the danger based on the bed movement but also limit the movement of the bed in accordance with the status of the patient or the bed device.
ELECTROMOTIVE FURNITURE DRIVE, AND ITEM OF FUNCTIONAL FURNITURE HAVING AN ELECTROMOTIVE FURNITURE DRIVE
The invention relates to an electromotive furniture drive for adjusting movable furniture parts (5, 6) of an item of functional furniture (1), having a control device (9), at least one adjusting drive (7, 8) with an electric motor, and at least one evaluation circuit (10) with an input (11, 12), which evaluation circuit can be electrically conductively connected to a sensor, which is attached to the item of functional furniture (1), and forms a proximity and/or contact detector together with said sensor. The electromotive furniture drive is distinguished in that at least two proximity and/or contact detectors are formed by in each case one sensor or a group of sensors together with the at least one evaluation circuit (10), it being possible for said proximity and/or contact detectors to be assigned to different moving furniture parts (5, 6) of the item of functional furniture (1). The invention further relates to an item of functional furniture (1) having at least two groups of movable furniture parts (5, 6) and an electromotive furniture drive of this kind.
CASTOR BASE WITH LOAD SENSOR
Systems and methods for a load sensing system that determines a mass on a bed. The systems generally are in the form of a castor base, particularly one that can be used as part of an adjustable hospital bed. The load sensing system serves to determine the mass of any object or objects (typically a human or animal patient) which is placed on the bed by having the mass create a force on lever arms of a plurality of load cells in the castor base. The load sensing systems are designed to work without hindering the adjustable functionality of the bed and can accurately determine mass (weight) at any position of the bed, and potentially even while the bed is adjusting between positions.
PATIENT LIFTING AND REHABILITATION DEVICE
A lift device includes two vertical extendible tower members, each of the two vertical extendible tower members including, at a first lower distal end, an omnidirectional wheel assembly, and a vertical extension assembly configured to simultaneously raise and lower the two vertical extendible tower members in a vertical direction. The lift device further includes a horizontal extendible transverse member connected between second opposing distal upper ends of the two vertical extendible tower members. The horizontal extendible transverse member further including a horizontal extension assembly configured to extend and retract the horizontal extendible transverse member in a horizontal direction perpendicular to the vertical direction, a traveler carriage configured to move in the horizontal direction upon the horizontal extension assembly between the second opposing distal upper ends of the two vertical extendible tower members, and a payload lifting device configured to raise and lower a payload in the vertical direction with respect to the traveler carriage on the horizontal extension assembly.
Powered ambulance COT with an automated COT control system
A powered ambulance cot and methods of raising and lowering the cot as well as loading and unloading the cot are disclosed. The cot includes a support frame and legs, each leg having a wheel. An actuator of an actuation system interconnects the frame and legs, and is configured to effect changes in elevation of the frame relative to the wheel of each of the legs. A control system controls activation of the actuation system, and detects both the actuator at a first location relative to the frame, where the first location is remote from a second location and which situates an end of the actuator that is remote from each wheel closer to the frame, and a presence of a signal requesting a change in elevation of said support frame to thereby cause the legs to move relative to the support frame.
Device and method for contactless control of a patient table
The invention relates to a device for contact-free control of a patient table includes a camera system for detecting at least one gesture of a user of the device, a processing unit for converting the at least one detected gesture into at least one command for controlling the patient table, and an execution unit for executing the at least one command for controlling the patient table. The device can furthermore include a monitoring system for monitoring the control of the patient table and an authentication system for authenticating the user.
