A method to control operation of a laundry dryer. The method includes starting a drying cycle, and receiving a user input command through one of a first interface and a second interface. If the command is provided through the first interface, a first working routine is started. If the same command is provided through the second interface, a second working routine is started. The second routing is different in at least one operational parameter than the first working routine. A laundry dryer configured to perform the method is also provided.

A laundry washing machine equipped with a treating agents dispenser comprising compartments adapted to be filled with at least one treating agent and a control panel comprising at least one first input device operable by the user to select a washing program and at least one second input device operable by the user to select an option for the selected washing program which implies the use of an additional treating agent which has to be inserted in a dedicated compartment. The control panel further comprises first output devices informing the user of the selectable washing program and at least one second output device informing the user of the selectable option for the washing program. At least one of said first output devices and said at least one second output device comprise a common visual identifier.

A method of controlling a washing machine includes: sensing a laundry amount accommodated in a drum; performing water supply into the drum according to the sensed laundry amount; rotating a pump motor at a certain initial rotation speed and transferring washing water discharged from the drum to at least one nozzle for spraying water into the drum; sensing a water level in the drum; performing a re-supply of water at least once until the sensed water level reaches a set water level; and increasing the rotation speed of the pump motor whenever the re-supply of water is performed, so that as the rotation speed of the pump motor is increased, the reaching range of the water stream sprayed through the nozzle gradually expands from the lower side of the circumferential surface of the drum to the rear surface of the drum.
