Washing machine and method of controlling the same
A washing machine that performs a washing course by heating wash water and a control method thereof are provided. The method includes supplying wash water up to a wash water level for generation of steam such that a portion of laundry received in an inner tub is saturated by the wash water. The wash water level may be above a bottom surface of the inner tub and below a wash water level for main washing. The method then includes heating the wash water to a first set temperature and driving a washing heater to generate steam from the wash water, and supplying the generated steam to the inner tub, and then supplying the wash water up to the wash water level for main washing, and driving the washing heater again to heat the wash water to a second set temperature, the second set temperature being lower than the first set temperature.
Multiple laundry treating machine
A multiple laundry treating machine, in which an auxiliary laundry treating device is coupled to a general laundry treating device, is disclosed. The multiple laundry treating machine includes a main laundry treating device for washing or drying laundry contained in an interior of the main laundry treating device, an auxiliary laundry treating device arranged at one side of the main laundry treating device, the auxiliary laundry treating device having a volume and a height respectively smaller than a volume and a height of the main laundry treating device, and having a laundry container formed in an interior of the auxiliary laundry treating device, and a connecting unit for connecting the main and auxiliary laundry treating devices, to enable communication or control operations between the main and auxiliary laundry treating devices. In accordance with the multiple laundry treating machine, it is possible to achieve a convenience in use and to save energy because a small amount of clothes or shoes can be dried by the auxiliary laundry treating device, without driving a laundry treating device having a relatively-large capacity.
LAUNDRY TREATING APPLIANCE AND METHODS OF OPERATION
The laundry treating appliance can comprise a wash basket defining a washing chamber, having a clothes mover in the treating chamber to agitate the clothes during a cycle of operation for cleaning. The method can comprise supplying a wash liquid to the treating chamber and rotating the clothes mover within the treating chamber with an electric motor operating at a high duty cycle wash phase and a low duty cycle wash phase.
Laundry Washing Machine and Control Method Thereof
A laundry treatment machine (1) has an outer casing (2), and a washing tub (3) which is arranged inside the outer casing (2). A rotatable washing drum (4) is arranged in axially rotating manner inside the washing tub (3) and is structured to receive the laundry to be treated. A liquid supplying system is provided for supplying hot liquid and/or cold liquid into the washing tub (3). A temperature sensor (22) is arranged in the washing tub (3) and is designed for sensing the temperature of the liquid contained in the washing tub (3). An electronic control device (23) is configured to: determine whether the temperature sensor (22) is immersed in liquid; and perform a first or a second control procedure, different from one another, to control the water supplying system based on a determined immersion status of the temperature sensor (22).
Washing Machine Appliances with Temperature Control Features
Washing machine appliances and methods for operating washing machine appliances are provided. A method includes receiving a desired water temperature selection, and causing water to be flowed through a valve assembly to a nozzle, the nozzle operable to flow water into a tub of the washing machine appliance. The method further includes receiving, when the desired water temperature selection is an unregulated water temperature, an initial sensed water temperature from a temperature sensor, and causing the valve assembly to adjust a temperature of the water flowed through the valve assembly when the desired water temperature selection is an unregulated water temperature and the initial sensed water temperature is below a predetermined temperature threshold.
Laundry treatment apparatus and control method thereof
A laundry treatment apparatus includes a tub that stores wash water; a drum rotatably disposed in the tub; a heater that heats wash water in the tub; a temperature sensor that senses a temperature of wash water; an output unit that displays at least one operation setting of the laundry treatment apparatus; and a controller configured to: determine an initial operation time based on the at least one operation setting; output the initial operation time through the output unit; determine an operation time based on (i) the temperature of wash water sensed by the temperature sensor during a supply of water to the tub and (ii) a level of wash water supplied to the tub; and output the operation time through the output unit.
Control of a household appliance
A method for the process programming of a household appliance includes the following steps: receiving a sequential program by the household appliance; checking the sequential program with respect to a predetermined device condition by the household appliance; and releasing the sequence of the sequential program in the household appliance as a function of the result of the check.
Laundry machine having induction heater and control method thereof
Disclosed herein is a laundry machine. More particularly, a laundry machine for generating steam by an induction heater and a control method thereof are disclosed. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, provided is a method of controlling a laundry machine including a tub, a drum rotatably arranged in the tub to accommodate an object and provided with a through hole on an outer circumferential surface thereof, and an induction heater provided to the tub, and configured to perform a steam operation. The steam operation may include heating a heating surface of the drum facing the induction heater by driving the induction heater, spraying, through a spray nozzle, water toward the heating surface heated in the heating operation, and rotating the drum such that the steam is introduced into the drum through the through hole in a space between the tub and the drum.
Washing machine providing fitted default washing options for user using learning method based on artificial intelligence and a system including the same
An artificial intelligence apparatus determines whether a washing option in a washing course according to the input of a user is changed when input of the user is received, and collect use history information when the washing option is changed. In addition, the artificial intelligence apparatus inputs the collected use history information to an option resetting model to acquire a second washing option for resetting the washing course, and resets the washing option included in the washing course according to the second washing option.
WASHING MACHINE AND METHOD FOR OPERATING SUCH A WASHING MACHINE
A washing machine has a rotatable drum in a drum-receiving container with an outlet, a pump with integrated heating device, an injector on the drum-receiving container, a water circuit with several water pipes, wherein at least one water pipe runs from the outlet from the drum-receiving container to the pump, and at least one water pipe runs from the pump to the injector, and a water reservoir between the outlet and pump which is connected to the water pipe from the outlet to the pump. An outlet valve is provided in the water pipe from the outlet from the drum-receiving container to the pump. A pump valve is also provided which is connected to a water pipe with a pump outlet and has an output to a water outlet from the washing machine.
