Dryer appliance and sensor assembly thereof
A dryer appliance and sensor assembly are provided. The sensor assembly may include a sensor housing, an appliance sensor, a wireless transmission tag, and a wireless tag reader. The sensor housing may extend within a drum and define a compartment proximate a space for the receipt of clothes. The appliance sensor may be positioned on the sensor housing. The wireless transmission tag may be positioned within the compartment. The wireless transmission tag may be in communication with the appliance sensor. The wireless tag reader may be in operable communication with the wireless transmission tag.
ADAPTIVE HEAT PUMP CLOTHES DRYER
A method and apparatus for an adaptive heat pump clothes dryer is provided. The clothes dryer includes an air flow path, a plurality of sensors, a bypass and a hardware controller. The air flow path is configured to circulate air through the clothes dryer. The sensors are located at multiple points on the air flow path and are configured to detect a plurality of measurements. The bypass is located on the air flow path between an outlet of a drum and an inlet of a heat pump and is configured to divert an amount of the water vapor from the air flow path. The hardware controller is configured to control the amount of water vapor expelled from the air flow path by adjusting the bypass using a partial condensation fraction based on the plurality of measurements.
Clothing management apparatus
A clothes-treating apparatus includes: a housing including an accommodating space to accommodate clothes therein; and a plurality of air conditioning modules provided inside the housing and different in an air conditioning function from each other, wherein each of the plurality of air conditioning modules is provided to be switched over between an exposing status in which the air conditioning function is activated and a blocking status in which the air conditioning function is inactivated, and a first air conditioning module among the plurality of air conditioning modules is in the exposing status while a second air conditioning module is in the blocking status. Thus, the clothes-treating apparatus prevents the air conditioning functions of the plurality of air conditioning modules from being offset by each other, thereby improving the effects of the air conditioning functions and extending the life of each air conditioning module.
Dryer appliance and method for operation
A dryer appliance, a controller, and a method for operation are provided. The controller is configured to execute steps of a method including receiving an input indicative of a drying cycle end time; determining a moisture extraction rate based at least in part on the received input indicative of drying cycle end time, the moisture extraction rate indicative of a rate at which moisture is removed from articles within a chamber of the dryer appliance; determining a rate of change of moisture extraction rate corresponding to the drying cycle end time; and adjusting a condensation rate based at least on the rate of change of moisture extraction rate and the received input indicative of the drying cycle end time.
Clothes treatment apparatus
The present disclosure relates to a cabinet including an inlet on a front side thereof; a first chamber positioned inside the cabinet and defining a space for accommodating clothes through the inlet; a second chamber positioned under the first chamber and defining a space separated from the first chamber; a hanger bar positioned in the first chamber and configured to hold the clothes accommodated in the first chamber; and a driver including: a motor configured to generate torque; a vibrating body configured to support the motor and vibrate alternately in a first rotation direction and a second rotation direction opposite to the first rotation direction by rotation of the motor; and a motion converter configured to rotate together with the vibrating body and convert the vibration of the vibrating body in connection with the hanger bar such that the hanger bar reciprocates along a predetermined movement direction, wherein the hanger bar is configured to reciprocate with different amplitudes and periods depending on a number of times that the motor rotates.
Clothes treatment apparatus and method for controlling clothes treatment apparatus
A clothes treatment apparatus includes: a first chamber in which clothes are accommodated; a support part which is provided in the first chamber and in which the clothes are held; a driving unit for making the support part reciprocate along the width direction of the first chamber; a circulation duct for drawing air out from inside the first chamber and then resupplying the air into the first chamber; a heat exchange part for sequentially dehumidifying and heating the air that has flowed into the circulation duct; a fan provided inside the circulation duct; a moisture supply unit for supplying moisture into the first chamber; a sensing unit for measuring at least one among the concentration of dust and the concentration of odor particles contained in the air in the first chamber; and a display unit on which information is displayed.
Moving hanger control on basis of movement of clothing
A method and device of controlling a moving hanger based on a movement of clothing are disclosed. A method of controlling a clothing styler includes determining a second moving pattern based on a dust amount in a processing chamber and movement information of clothes collected while a moving hanger operates in a first moving pattern, and controlling the moving hanger based on the determined second moving pattern. The controlling method can be associated with an artificial intelligence module, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), a robot, an augmented reality (AR) device, a virtual reality (VR) device, devices related to 5G services, and the like.
Dryer Vent Monitoring and Lint Cleaning System
The present invention aims to provide homeowners with an autonomous alerting and dryer vent cleaning bidirectional robotic device that can operate in a small diameter dryer vent and clean the dryer vent as the real-time blockage is detected without waiting on the homeowner. This will enable efficient drying of clothes, less usage of fossil fuels by running the dryer longer, and reduce the fire hazard from the lint-clogged clothes dryer vent. The present invention also aims to detect and alert the presence of hazardous air pollutants including carcinogens emitted from the dryer vent correlating the pollutants emitted to the detergent used for washing clothes. This educates homeowners about the choices of laundry products that they are making and allows them to buy more eco-friendly and chemically safe detergents.
Dryer vent monitoring and lint cleaning system
A device for dryer vent includes a sensor node having a plurality of sensors, a base node that receives data transmission package from sensor node, a robotic device placed inside a robotic device housing. Base node on blockage detection communicates with the robotic device which is capable of autonomous traversal inside dryer vent to clean the dryer vent. A lint basket placed inside the robotic device housing is used by the robotic device to store lint removed from dryer vent during a cleaning cycle. A latch placed inside robotic device housing communicates with base node to allow the robotic device to enter or exit the robotic device housing during the cleaning cycle.
