Clothes treating apparatus with detecting device for insertion of filter
09758920 · 2017-09-12 · ·

A clothes treating apparatus includes a filter insertion detecting device that detects whether a filter has been inserted in the clothes treating apparatus. The filter insertion detecting device, which is installed in a clothes drying machine or the like, may be moved in response to insertion of a filter assembly to generate a contact signal that indicates insertion of the filter assembly.

HEAT EXCHANGER FILTER FOR SELF LINT CLEANING SYSTEM IN DRYER APPLIANCE

A laundry appliance includes a rotating drum for processing laundry. A blower directs process air through an airflow path that includes the rotating drum. A heat exchanger is positioned within the airflow path that dehumidifies the process air. A fixedly-secured lint filter captures lint from the process air at a position upstream of the heat exchanger. A fluid spray system has spray nozzles that deliver fluid to a surface of the fixedly-secured lint filter. Each spray nozzle of the plurality of spray nozzles directs captured lint away from the fixedly-secured lint filter.

Provided are methods, apparatuses and washing machines that involve the filtration of microparticulate from liquid effluent of laundry apparatuses and systems. For example, steps involved in the inventive method may include: collecting the liquid effluent from the output of the outer tub of the washing machine; establishing a continuous high-pressure state to at least a portion of collected liquid effluent by a pumping device, based at least in part on a signal; and directing a threshold amount of high-pressure liquid effluent by a pumping device through a microparticulate filtration system, wherein the threshold amount is based at least in part on a first aspect of the pumping device and/or a microparticulate filtration system.

Fabric cleaning appliance with performance enhancement selector

A method of operating a laundry treating appliance having a tub, a rotatable drum at least partially defining a treating chamber, and a treating chemistry dispenser comprising multiple treating chemistry cups configured to dispense treating chemistry to the treating chamber. The method comprises performing a first wash cycle and dispensing a first dose of treating chemistry from one of the treating chemistry cups, receiving at a controller a user selection of an activation of a performance enhancement selector, and upon activation of the performance enhancement selector, activating a second wash cycle comprising dispensing a second dose of treating chemistry from another of treating chemistry cups.

A laundry appliance includes a wash tub disposed within a cabinet. A rotating drum is disposed within the wash tub. A drain system directs a fluid from the wash tub to a fluid pump. A trap is disposed within a tub drain of the wash tub. The trap includes an elongated body having a plurality of fingers that extend across an aperture defined within the elongated body. The plurality of fingers are configured to permit passage of particulate material and prevent passage of foreign objects through the elongated body.

The present disclosure relates to a laundry treatment machine. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a laundry treatment machine includes a controller controlling a motor, during dewatering, to be driven at a first speed when a lift is at a first level and to drive the motor at a second speed greater than the first speed when the lift is at a second level greater than the first level, wherein the lift is a difference between a water level of a water introduction part through which water flows into a drain pump and a water level of a water discharge part through which the water is discharged out of the drain pump. Accordingly, noise or vibration can be reduced even if the lift is changed during the dewatering.

MICROPLASTIC SEPARATOR

The invention relates to preventing microplastics from the entering the environment. In particular the invention is directed to filtering microfibers from the waste water from washing machines as well as waste from other appliances and other sources of effluent with entrained microplastics or other microp-ollutants. A separator is provided for separating microplastics from effluent comprising; a chamber including at least one sieve structure, a shroud that acts as a vortex finder and a baffle coaxial with the shroud and projecting upwards from the lower end of the chamber, wherein the shroud has a circular lower rim and the baffle has a circular upper rim, wherein the radius of the lower rim of the shroud is greater than the radius of the upper rim of the baffle.

WASHING MACHINE WITH DRYING FUNCTION

A washing machine with drying function may include a cabinet with a laundry insertion hole; a tub having a front opening and a back opening; a drum inside the tub, the laundry insertion hole, front opening, and drum being positioned so that laundry is insertable through the laundry insertion hole; a heated air supplying device with a heat exchange part above the tub, a front and back duct, and a blower fan to form an airflow, via the back and front duct, from the back opening to the heat exchange part, and then to the front opening; a lint filter in the back duct; a sensor to detect lint in the lint filter and produce a corresponding signal; a washing device to spray washing water toward the lint filter; and a processor to control the washing device to spray the washing water based on the signal produced by the sensor.

SELF CLEANING SUMP COVER

A fluid flow system for a laundry appliance includes a blower that delivers process air along an airflow path having a heat exchanger. A drain channel receives condensate from the heat exchanger and fluid spray from a spray nozzle for directing lint particles to the drain channel and on to a sump for collecting fluid, including the condensate. A pump seat and a fluid outlet are integrally formed in a sump cover. A pump directs the fluid from the sump to the fluid outlet. A fluid level sensor detects at least minimum and maximum capacities of the fluid in the sump. When the fluid is below the minimum capacity, the pump defines an idle state. When the fluid reaches the minimum capacity, the pump defines an active state. When the fluid exceeds the maximum capacity, the pump directs the fluid to the fluid outlet.
