The induction module includes a base housing configured to accommodate the coil, the base housing being mounted on the outer surface of the tub. The coil is formed with the wire being wound around within the base housing, and includes a straight portion and a curved portion, with a first radius of curvature of an inner coil portion of the curved portion of the coil being the same as a second radius of curvature of an outer coil portion of the curved portion of the coil.
Laundry treatment apparatus and method of controlling the same
Disclosed is a laundry treatment apparatus configured to directly heat a drum containing laundry therein. The laundry treatment apparatus comprising: a tub; a drum configured to rotate within the tub and to contain laundry therein, the drum being formed of a metallic material; and an induction module provided at an outer surface of the tub and configured to heat a surface of the drum within the tub via induction, the induction module comprising: a coil that comprises a wire through which an electric current is configured to pass so as to generate a magnetic field; and a base housing configured to accommodate the coil by defining a coil slot in which the wire of the coil is received, the coil slot having a width that is less than a diameter of the wire.
WASHING MACHINE AND CONTROLLING METHOD THEREOF
A washing machine that can shorten the drying time by improving the drying efficiency of the washing machine. A washing machine includes a tub, a drum rotatably installed inside of the tub, a condensing duct formed on an inner wall of the tub, a heating duct provided outside the tub, a duct heater provided inside the heating duct, a fan configured to circulate air in the drum, the condensing duct, and the heating duct and a controller configured to rotate the drum at a first rotational speed so as to tumble laundry contained in the drum while controlling the duct heater to heat the air circulated by the fan. The controller may rotate the drum at a second rotational speed, which is higher than the first rotational speed to separate water from the laundry contained in the drum while controlling the duct heater to heat the circulating air.
Clothes Dryer Fire Reduction System
A clothes dryer apparatus and system that reduces the buildup of electric charges within a dryer drum by introducing ions. The system monitors the voltage within the drum by taking measurements on voltage sensor assembly. The sensor assembly obtains a voltage when two areas of a fabric, or two separate items of the clothing, contact the sensor. If a threshold voltage is obtained, an ion generator introduces cations and anions into the drum of the dryer to neutralize the static charge of the clothing. The reduction of static electricity increases efficiency as the clothing items do not stick together which permits better heat flow and increases safety by reducing the amount of electrical charge within the drum.
LAUNDRY TREATING APPARATUS
A laundry treating apparatus includes: a cabinet; a tub provided inside the cabinet; a drum provided inside the tub; an electric heater coupled to a bottom portion of the tub to heat wash water inside the tub; and a bracket provided at the tub to support the electric heater to be spaced apart from the bottom. The bracket includes an electric heater receiving portion in which the electric heater is received therein, and a sensing portion protruding upward at an upper one side of the electric heater receiving portion to sense the mis-assembly of the electric heater. As a result, the mis-assembly of the electric heater may be quickly recognized.
LAUNDRY TREATING APPARATUS HAVING INDUCTION HEATER
A laundry treating apparatus includes a tub, a drum for receiving an object therein, an induction heater for heating an outer circumferential face of the drum, a motor for rotating the drum, and a power supply for supplying power from an external power source to the laundry treating apparatus, a relay for interrupting current to be applied from the power supply to the induction heater via an electrical wire, a processor connected to the relay via a control wire and configured to control an operation of the relay and to control an operation of the induction heater and an operation of the motor, and a first safety device disposed at the control wire to interrupt a control signal to be applied from the processor to the relay. The first safety device operates in response to a temperature change thereof.
METHOD FOR REMOVING A DEPOSITION OF SCALE ON A HEATING ELEMENT AND A HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE CONFIGURED TO PERFORM THE METHOD
A method for removing a deposition of scale on a heating element may include turning on the heating element to heat the liquid in the heating space, determining a first value (Tv1) of temperature of the heating element and/or a first time period (tp1) during heating of the liquid. The method may further include turning off the heating element and turning on the heating element at a second value (Tv2) of temperature of the heating element and reheating the liquid in the heating space until temperature of the heating element reaches a third value (Tv3) related to the first value (Tv1) and/or until a second time period (tp2) related to the first time period (tp1) is reached. A household appliance may also be provided.
LAUNDRY TREATING APPARATUS
The present invention relates to a laundry care apparatus in which an induction module heats the drum uniformly using a magnetic field to dry laundry or heat wash-water, and center and front and rear regions of the drum are uniformly heated.
TUMBLE DRYER AND METHOD FOR DRYING LAUNDRY USING A TUMBLE DRYER
A tumble dryer has a drum for laundry, a drive motor for the drum, an air supply to the drum and an air discharge from the drum, a fan, including a fan drive, for generating an air stream to the drum through the air supply and away from the drum through the air discharge, and also heating means for heating the air stream. The temperature of and the moisture in the air which is discharged from the drum are detected. The profile of said temperature and moisture is compared with prespecification curves, which are stored in a memory, for the profile of said temperature and moisture by means of calculation means depending on the drying phase of the laundry. The operating point of the prespecification curve at which the drying program is located is determined in this way. The control arrangement influences the further drying program, on the basis of the operating point, by way of adjusting the temperature and/or the intensity of the air stream.
Laundry drying machine and controlling method of laundry drying machine
A laundry drying machine includes: a cabinet, a drum rotatably disposed in the cabinet and configured to accommodate a target object, an electric field generator spaced apart from the drum and configured to, based on power being applied to the electric field generator, generate an electric field, and an exhaust duct configured to discharge air inside the drum. The electric field generator includes: (i) an anode electrode spaced apart from the drum, fixed to the cabinet, and configured to apply the electric field to the target object, (ii) a power supply unit configured to supply the power to the anode electrode, and (iii) a matcher configured to match a source impedance of the power and an impedance of a load side. The drum is configured to, based on a reflectivity of the electric field exceeding a predetermined ratio, reduce a rotation speed.
