Dryer duct sensing and cleaning
The following relates generally to dryer duct safety. In some embodiments, a system may include an airflow sensor configured to measure airflow in a dryer duct. The system may further include one or more processors configured to receive an operation status signal of a dryer, determine an airflow level based upon an airflow signal received from the airflow sensor, and determine that a clog exists in the dryer duct based upon: (i) the airflow level and (ii) the operation status signal. The system may further include a robotic component to clean the dryer duct upon determining a clog exists.
Laundry treating apparatus
A laundry treating apparatus is disclosed. The laundry treating apparatus includes a first cabinet having a first receiving space to receive laundry, a second cabinet having a second receiving space to receive laundry, the second cabinet being separated from the first cabinet, a partition wall located at an upper part of the second receiving space to divide an interior of the second cabinet, a discharge unit to discharge air from the first receiving space and air from the second receiving space, and a supply unit including a supply duct to selectively supply air to the first receiving space and the second receiving space and a supply fan provided in the partition wall such that the supply fan is located in the second cabinet to move air from the second receiving space to the supply duct.
LAUNDRY APPARATUS
A laundry apparatus including an outer tub, a window pad, a drainage pump, a valve assembly, and a fan, the drainage pump is in communication with the outer tub by a pump pipe; the valve assembly includes a blocking mechanism and a valve shell having an air intake cavity and an air output cavity; the air intake cavity and the air output cavity are independently arranged; the air intake cavity is in communication with an air intake pipeline which provides communication between the outside and the pump pipe or the bottom of the outer tub; the air output cavity is in communication with an air output pipeline which provides communication between the outside and the window pad; the fan is arranged on the air intake pipeline and/or the air output pipeline; and the blocking mechanism is configured to simultaneously block the air intake pipeline and the air output pipeline.
Clothing management device and control method therefor
An electronic device and a control method therefor are provided. The clothing management device includes a sensor, a deodorizing device for removing a contaminant source of clothing received in the clothing management device, a perfuming device for spraying aroma onto clothing, and a processor for, when a user command for managing clothing is received, controlling the deodorizing device to perform deodorization for removing a contaminant source of the clothing, and, when it is determined that the concentration of the contaminant source in the clothing management device sensed by the sensor is less than or equal to a preconfigured threshold value, controlling the deodorizing device to stop the deodorization and controlling the perfuming device to perfume the clothing by using aroma.
DEVICE FOR SENSING FLOW PATH SWITCHING UNIT FOR DRYER, AND DRYER COMPRISING SAME
A flow path switching unit for a dryer that dries material. The flow path switching unit for the dryer includes a body portion, and a flow path guide which partitions an internal space of the body portion so as to selectively form a first flow path of air for drying material and a second flow path of air for dehumidifying outside air based on an arrangement position of the body portion. The flow path switching unit provides the first flow path for guiding the air from a drum of a dryer toward a heat exchanger of the dryer at the first position, and the second flow path for guiding the outside air introduced from the outside of the dryer to the outside at the second position.
Systems and methods for detecting lint aggregation in a dryer appliance
A dryer appliance includes a drum defining a chamber for receipt of clothes for drying, an air handler for urging a flow of air through the chamber, and a trap duct in fluid communication with the chamber and comprising a lint filter for filtering lint from the flow of air exiting the chamber. A lint detection assembly includes an emitter for generating light and a receiver for detecting the light that is transmitted through the lint filter, and a controller is configured to determine a lint level based at least in part on the light detected by the receiver, determine that the lint level exceeds a predetermined lint threshold, and implementing a responsive action, such as stopping the cycle, notifying the user, and/or updating an initial cycle time.
Double-tub laundry device
A double-tub laundry device includes a first tub assembly, a second tub assembly, a first valve assembly, a second valve assembly, a first fan, and a second fan. The first valve assembly includes a first blocking mechanism and a first valve casing having a first air inlet chamber and a first air outlet chamber; the first blocking mechanism is configured to block both a first air inlet pipe and a first air outlet pipe from the outside; the second valve assembly includes a second blocking mechanism and a second valve casing having a second air inlet chamber and a second air outlet chamber; and the second blocking mechanism is configured to block both a second air inlet pipe and a second air outlet pipe from the outside. Embodiments achieve partitioned washing of the double-tub drum washing machine and independent air drying of each tub assembly.
