ADDITIVE DISPENSER ASSEMBLY FOR A LAUNDRY TREATMENT APPLIANCE
A laundry treatment appliance includes a cabinet forming a receiving space, a tub provided within the receiving space, a laundry door to provide selective access to the receiving space, a reservoir attached to an external surface of the laundry door, the reservoir storing a quantity of liquid, and a nozzle in fluid communication with the reservoir, the nozzle being positioned within the receiving space to selectively release the liquid from the reservoir into the tub.
WASHING MACHINE APPLIANCE AND METHODS FOR VARYING DISPENSING BASED ON WATER HARDNESS
A washing machine appliance may include a wash tub, a wash basket, a dispensing assembly, a water hardness sensor, a camera assembly, and a controller. The wash tub may be positioned within a cabinet. The water hardness sensor may be mounted in fluid communication with the wash tub. The camera assembly may be spaced apart from the wash tub. The controller may be communicatively coupled to the water hardness sensor and the camera assembly. The controller may be configured to direct a washing operation. The washing operation may include identifying a wash additive provided to the washing machine appliance, determining a water hardness level of water provided to the washing machine appliance, determining a cycle additive volume based on the identified wash additive and the determined water hardness level, and dispensing the determined cycle additive volume within the wash tub.
ADAPTIVE SCENT DISPENSING FOR DRYER APPLIANCE BASED ON INPUT FROM LINKED WASHER APPLIANCE
A dryer appliance and a method of operating a dryer appliance are provided. The dryer includes a drum defining a drying chamber rotatably mounted within a cabinet, an additive dispensing assembly to provide a dryer additive to the drying chamber, and a controller for initiating a drying operation. The controller obtains washer operating parameters from a washing machine, determines a drying operation based on the received parameters, initiates a dry cycle, and directs a dryer additive to be dispensed based on the dryer operating schedule.
Liquid Storage Box, Additive Dispensing Apparatus, and Method for Identifying Additive Type
A liquid storage box, an additive dispensing apparatus, and a method for identifying an additive type. The liquid storage box is provided with a closed chamber for storing additive. At least one marking conductive component is disposed on the liquid storage box. Any one element or a combination of elements selected from a group consisting of the quantity, position, shape, and resistance of the marking conductive components provided on the liquid storage box box indicates correspondingly the type of additive. The identification conductive components are arranged in an accommodating portion of the additive dispensing apparatus. The identification conductive components cover the shadows of the marking conductive components disposed on different liquid storage boxes in the accommodation portion. The marking conductive component of the liquid storage box is spaced from the identification conductive component in the accommodating portion, so as to form capacitance correspondingly indicating the type of the additive.
ADDITIVE DELIVERY ASSEMBLY FOR AN APPLIANCE
An appliance that includes an additive delivery assembly is provided. The additive delivery assembly includes features that deliver a controlled amount of additive to a chamber of an appliance. Methods for delivering an additive to a chamber of an appliance are also provided.
LIQUID STORAGE BOX, ADDITIVE DISPENSING APPARATUS AND IDENTIFICATION METHOD
A liquid storage box, an additive dispensing apparatus and an identification method including a guiding identifier part with a set guiding trajectory is arranged on the liquid storage box; and any one or a combination of the number, position and trajectory shape of the guiding identifier part correspondingly represents types of additives. The additive dispensing apparatus has an intelligent identification assembly, including a first second wiring terminal connected to a detection circuit; elastic pushing members, including conductive elements in contact and electrical connection between the first and the second wiring terminal under normal conditions; and a rotating swing member, which may swing along the set guiding trajectory of the guiding identifier part on the liquid storage box and push the elastic pushing members at corresponding positions to disconnect the conductive elements from a wiring terminal when the liquid storage box is inserted into an insertion groove, achieving signal identification.
CONTAINER, ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF IDENTIFYING A CONTENT OF A CONTAINER
An assembly (100) comprises a container (10) comprising a container body (13) and at least one protrusion (102); and an identification device (120) comprising a plurality of transmitter-receiver pairs (110). Each transmitter-receiver pair is formed of one transmitter (112) to send a signal (116) and one receiver (114) configured to detect the signal (116) sent from the transmitter (112), characterized in that each of the at least one protrusion (102) is positioned to block a signal (116) between one of the transmitter-receiver pairs (110) when the container (10) is coupled to the identification device (120). A method of identifying a content of the container (10).
Detergent storage container and method for manufacturing the same
A detergent storage container for a laundry treating apparatus includes a detergent storage member that defines a storage space configured to store laundry detergent, and a residual amount detecting unit disposed at the detergent storage member and configured to detect a residual amount of laundry detergent stored in the detergent storage member.
