20200297291 · 2020-09-24 ·

A patient support facility including at least one patient support plate and at least two supports for the patient support plate. Each of the supports are configured to be mobile has an autonomous drive module with a chassis permitting movements and rotations in all horizontal directions, a drive facility, and a control unit. The patient support facility includes a control facility that is configured to operate the drive modules in a coordinated and individual manner.

System and method for automated hospital beds
10768615 · 2020-09-08 ·

The present invention is directed toward a system and method for effectively managing, transporting, and taking care of patients in a hospital facility. Primarily this is done through the use of an automated bed with corresponding controls and devices installed within the facility. Precautionary fail safes are implemented such that any medical profession can override the system should an error be detected. Constant monitoring and control of all automated beds may occur from a centralized system. These systems and methods will allow for better allocation of hospital resources, providing much more efficient care to all patients.

Autonomously moveable storage units and wheelchair storage systems

An autonomously moveable storage unit includes one or more processors, a storage container configured to contain a stored item, a moveable base coupled to the storage container and communicatively coupled to the one or more processors, and one or more memory modules communicatively coupled to the one or more processors. The one or more memory modules store logic that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the autonomously moveable storage unit to actuate the moveable base to automatically move the autonomously moveable storage unit from a docked position coupled to the wheelchair to an undocked position uncoupled from the wheelchair, and actuate the moveable base to automatically move the autonomously moveable storage unit from the undocked position to the docked position.

INTEGRATED SUSPENDED LOAD CONTROL APPARATUSES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS

Load control apparatuses, systems and methods to control a location, orientation, or rotation of a suspended load by imparting thrust vectors to the suspended load or to a structure that holds the load. The load control apparatuses, systems and method may be integrated into a structure that holds a load, such as a rescue litter. The load control apparatuses, systems, and methods may be modular. The modular load control apparatuses, systems, and methods may be secured to a load or to a structure that holds the load.

A seat, a motion control method thereof and a motion control system thereof. The motion control method for the seat includes: acquiring images of around the seat, and tracking a current caregiver via image recognition; determining a relative position between the current caregiver and the seat; and controlling a motion of the seat based on the relative position.

Medical walker docking station (IMWDS)

A device for assisting a medical walker user in transitioning from a sitting position to a standing position as the medical walker user attempts to access the medical walker because the device incorporates a platform base which becomes stabilized by placing the weight of the medical walker user on the platform base which in turn stabilizes the medical walker via each automatic movement restrictor assembly (AMRA) attached to the platform base because each AMRA automatically engages/captures each of the medical walker's two front axles as the medical walker's two front wheels impact each of the two AMRAs additionally such that the device will automatically move from a position of engagement with the medical walker's two front axles to a position of disengagement with the medical walker's two front axles when the medical walker along with the medical walker's two front wheels leave/exit the device's AMRAs.

Patient Transport Apparatus Having Powered Drive System Utilizing Dual Mode User Input Control

Systems for facilitating movement of a patient transport apparatus are provided and include user input control device that includes a mode switch selectable between a longitudinal transport mode and a multidirectional mode and a driving assist device actuatable between at least one engaged state and a non-engaged state. The mode switch generates signals based on the selected mode and the driving assist device generates engaged or non-engaged signals which are received by a controller. The controller is configured to generate an output signal sent to a lift actuator, swivel actuator, and/or a powered drive system to assist a user in propelling the apparatus in a desired manner.

Braking and Steering System for a Mobile Support
20200138649 · 2020-05-07 ·

A mobile support such as a stretcher includes a left rear rolling element and a right rear rolling element. The support also includes a sensor system adapted to sense displacement force applied to the support, and a deceleration system. Provided the bed is moving in a forward direction, machine readable instructions executed by a processor cause the deceleration system to apply a decelerating influence to selected members of the set of rolling elements in response to the sensed displacement force in order to assist braking and steering maneuvers.

AUTOMATED MEDICAL ITEM DELIVERY APPARATUS
20200121533 · 2020-04-23 ·

A computer-implemented method for automated delivery of a medical item. The method receives registration information for a plurality of trained users. The registration information includes a registration code indicating that a user is trained in a use of a medical item. The method tracks locations of the trained users via an end user device of the trained users. The method receives a medical alert indicating a medical emergency at a location. The method identifies a medical item that would assist in the medical emergency. The method identifies a trained user near the location corresponding to the medical emergency trained in use of the medical item. The method dispatches an autonomous delivery device to deliver the medical item to the location corresponding to the medical alert. The method alerts the trained user that the medical item is being dispatched to the location of the medical emergency.
