Provided are a laundry treating device and a water temperature control method and apparatus therefor. The laundry treating device includes a cold water inlet and a hot water inlet, and the control method includes: detecting a water temperature in the laundry treating device in response to determining that warm water is to be introduced into the laundry treating device, and controlling the laundry treating device based on the water temperature to enable inflowing of cold water through the cold water inlet and inflowing of hot water through the hot water inlet alternately; detecting a water level in the laundry treating device, and controlling the laundry treating device to stop water inflow in response to determining that the water level in the laundry treating device reaches a first predetermined water level; and controlling the laundry treating device to perform washing for a first predetermined duration based on a predetermined washing cycle.

In particular, a method performed by one or more devices is disclosed, the method comprising: obtaining an intensity information item representative of a spectral image resulting from a soiling of a textile and/or from at least one part of a textile; determining at least one output variable dependent on the soiling of the textile and/or at least one property of the textile from the intensity information item, wherein the output variable is determined by employing an adaptive evaluation algorithm, in particular an artificial neural network, wherein parameters of the adaptive evaluation algorithm are calibrated based on a plurality of training cases; outputting or triggering outputting of the at least one output variable. Furthermore, a device and a system for performing the subject method is disclosed.

A laundry machine includes a tub, a drum that is rotatably mounted in the tub, and an induction heater that is provided in the tub and configured to heat an outer circumferential surface of the drum. The laundry machine also includes a motor that is configured to rotate the drum, a user interface comprising a course selection unit that is configured to allow a user to select a course, and an option selection unit that is configured to allow the user to select option information that is related with the course selected. The laundry machine further includes a processor that is configured to control the drum rotation speed and the induction heater. The course selection unit comprises a wash-drying course that performs heat-spinning by default, the heat-spinning being configured to heat the drum by driving the induction heater when the drum rotates.

A control method includes performing a first drum operation of supplying water by a first set amount together with a detergent into the tub and rotating the drum at a first drum rotation speed while water is supplied, operating the pump at a first pump rotation speed during the first drum operation, operating a heater to heat water in the tub, performing a second drum operation of rotating the drum at the first drum rotation speed during the operation of the heater, and operating the pump at a second pump rotation speed at least once during the second drum operation, stopping the operation of the heater, performing a third drum operation of rotating the drum at the first drum rotation speed, and operating the pump at the first pump rotation speed during the third drum operation.

Disclosed is a method of controlling a washing machine configured such that a drum having on a front surface thereof an inlet through which laundry is put is rotatably provided in a tub containing water. The control method includes (a) a step of supplying water to submerge at least a portion of the drum in the tub; (b) a step of performing at least once an operation in which the water contained in the tub is heated by operating a heater and the drum is rotated at a first set speed; (c) a step of draining the tub; (d) a step of supplying water to submerge at least a portion of the drum in the tub; and (e) a step of performing at least once an operation in which the water contained in the tub is heated by operating the heater and the drum is rotated. The step (e) includes a step of rotating at least once the drum at a second set speed which is lower than the first set speed; and a step of repeating a first drum cleaning operation in which the drum is rotated at least once at a third set speed lower than the second set speed, and a second drum cleaning operation in which the drum is rotated at least once at a fourth set speed lower than the third set speed.

Provided is a clothes care apparatus capable of removing scale generated in a steam device. The clothes care apparatus includes a main body including a clothes care room and a steam generating device provided to supply steam into the clothes care room, wherein the steam generating device includes steam container, a wash liquid injecting part provided to inject a wash liquid for removing scale in the steam container, a heating part provided inside the steam container to heat the wash liquid, and a wash liquid discharging part provided to discharge the wash liquid having cleaned the scale using heat received from the heating part, wherein the wash liquid discharging part includes a second pump provided to discharge the wash liquid having cleaned the scale to an outside of the steam container.

A method performed by one or more devices is disclosed. The method includes detecting a first image information item indicative of at least one soiling on a textile, determining a soiling information item indicative of at least one property of the soiling on the textile where the at least one property is determined based at least in part on the detected first image information item and the at least one property of the soiling is determined based at least in part on a property dependent on the outline of the soiling, and outputting or causing the outputting of the determined soiling information item. A control method of a washing machine including a drum rotated about a horizontal rotation axis in a tub and a plurality of nozzles spraying water discharged from the tub and circulated by a pump into the drum, includes (a) step of performing a first drum operation of supplying water by a first set amount together with a detergent into the tub and rotating the drum at a first drum rotation speed, while water is supplied, at least once and operating the pump at a first pump rotation speed at least once during the first drum operation; (b) step of performing a second drum operation of operating a heater to heat the water in the tub in a state in which the first set amount of water is supplied into the tub, rotating the drum at a first drum rotation speed at least once during the operation of the heater, and operating the pump at the first pump rotation speed at least once during the second drum operation; (c) step of rotating the drum at a preset spin-drying speed to spin-dry laundry; and (d) step of operating the drum at a second drum rotation speed greater than the first drum rotation speed, while supplying water into the tub, after the operation of spin-drying the laundry, and accelerating the pump from the second pump rotation speed to a third pump rotation speed.

A laundry machine includes a tub, a drum that is rotatably mounted in the tub, and an induction heater that is provided in the tub and configured to heat an outer circumferential surface of the drum. The laundry machine also includes a motor that is configured to rotate the drum, a user interface comprising a course selection unit that is configured to allow a user to select a course, and an option selection unit that is configured to allow the user to select option information that is related with the course selected.
