Patient support system with chest compression system and harness assembly with sensor system
A patient support system with chest compression system and harness assembly with sensor system. The harness assembly secures shoulders and hips of the patient on a patient support surface during transport. A chest compression system is integrated into the harness assembly in a manner that provides chest compressions to the patient while the patient is secured on the patient support surface. The tension of the harness assembly is selectively adjusted and/or a fluid bladder may be selectively expanded. A controller is in communication with the chest compression system and controls operation of the chest compression system. The sensor system is integrated into the harness assembly and in communication with the controller. The chest compression system may be removable from the harness assembly via an adapter. The chest compression system may be integrated into the patient support apparatus to secure the patient to the patient support surface while providing chest compressions.
PATIENT SUPPORT APPARATUS HAVING DETACHABLE BARRIER ASSEMBLY
A patient support apparatus that is adaptable to multiple modes of transport includes a variable length base and a drive system that includes two independently drivable wheels that are responsive to inputs from a user to steer the patient support apparatus. A barrier assembly is secured to the upper frame by a tab which is received into a receiver formed in a head end of the frame.
CARRIER KART AND JAW CLOSURE OF AN ULTRASONIC SURGICAL INSTRUMENT
A surgical instrument includes an end effector, a shaft assembly, an actuation driver, and an actuation assembly. The end effector includes first and second jaws. At least one of the first and second jaws is configured to move relative to the other of the first and second jaws to compress tissue therebetween. The shaft assembly extends proximally from the end effector. The shaft assembly includes a closure member extending along a longitudinal axis. The actuation driver is configured to configured to receive a motor output from a motor. The actuation assembly is operatively coupled with the actuation driver and the closure member. The actuation assembly includes a translating member configured to translate together with the closure member along the longitudinal axis a predetermined distance using the actuation driver such that the closure member applies a predetermined closure force to the first and second jaws corresponding to the predetermined distance.
PATIENT SUPPORT APPARATUS WITH TOUCHSCREEN
A patient support apparatus, such as a bed, cot, stretcher, operating table, recliner, or the like, includes a litter frame, a support deck supported on the litter frame and adapted to support a mattress thereon, a touchscreen and a controller configured for carrying out various functions and to display various screens on the touchscreen, including screens for controlling a mattress function or for controlling a non-mattress function of the patient support apparatus. A notification regarding the status of a mattress function can be displayed on various screens. Status indications can be provided as a banner across a portion of the touchscreen.
PATIENT SUPPORT WITH IMPROVED CONTROL
A patient support apparatus includes a deck to support a mattress and a patient on the mattress, the deck including a head deck section articulatable about an axis to change an angle of the head deck section, and a control system in communication with a user interface, with the control system configured to adjust the angle of the head deck section and to adjust the height of the deck in response to input at the user interface. The control system is in communication with a display and generates a GUI (graphical user interface) at the display to display a deck icon representative of the deck and a height icon representative of the height. The control system monitors the angle of the deck section and the height of the deck and adjusts the deck and height icons to schematically illustrate the adjustments made to the height of the deck and the angle of the head deck section to provide visual feedback to a user of the changes in height of the deck and/or angle of the head deck section in response to the user's input at the user interface.
PATIENT SUPPORT WITH IMPROVED CONTROL
A patient support apparatus includes a patient support surface, a plurality of caster wheels supporting the patient support surface on a floor or ground surface, a brake for manually braking at least one caster wheel of the plurality of caster wheels, and a handle or pedal for manually operating the brake, with the handle or pedal at least having a brake position. The patient support apparatus also includes an electrical actuator configured to couple to the brake and to selectively output a driving force and a user interface in communication with the electrical actuator. In response to input at the user interface, the electrical actuator generating the driving force to actuate the brake to thereby brake the at least one caster wheel, and wherein the driving force of the actuator moves the handle or pedal to the brake positon when the actuator actuates the manually operable brake to brake the caster wheel.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MONITORING/DETECTING AND RESPONDING TO INFANT BREATHING
This disclosure generally relates to systems and methods for detecting, monitoring, and responding to abnormalities in a subject's breathing or heartbeat. One or more sensing devices may collect breathing or heartbeat related data, which may be filtered and converted to a frequency signal. The frequency signal may be monitored for irregularity or stoppage, and a processing module may determine whether the irregularity or stoppage is caused by an actual stoppage or irregularity in breathing or heartbeat. If breathing or heartbeat is determined to have stopped, a corrective action may be performed.
Auxiliary loading device of a stretcher
An auxiliary loading device of a stretcher including a winch having a support frame rotatably supporting a spool, a tow strap wound on the spool and having a tow hook attachable to the stretcher, and a motor connected and configured to rotate the spool in a first direction for winding the tow strap on the spool and in a second direction for unwinding the tow strap from the spool. A sensor is connected to the winch to detect a value of a parameter indicative of a tension of a unwound section of the tow strap including the tow hook, and an electronic control unit operatively connected to the sensor unit and the motor of the winch to stop rotation of the spool when operated to rotate in the second direction if the value of the parameter indicative of the tension is less than or equal to a reference value.
