Method for controlling a drying cycle of a laundry dryer
A method is provided for controlling a drying cycle of a laundry dryer having a laundry drum and an air stream fan for circulating drying air through said laundry drum. The method includes the steps of: starting a drying cycle (14); performing the drying cycle (16); detecting an electric resistance and/or conductivity of the laundry during the drying cycle (16) for estimating a dryness level of the laundry; comparing the electric resistance and/or conductivity of the laundry with an end cycle condition (20; 28, 30; 36); and finishing the drying cycle (16), if the end cycle condition (20; 28, 30; 36) is fulfilled. The end cycle condition (20; 28, 30; 36) depends on the rotation speed (S.sub.D) of the laundry drum and/or on the rotation speed (S.sub.F) of the air stream fan.
Dryer appliances and venting methods for dryer appliances
A method of operating a dryer appliance includes directing a flow of hot dry air into a chamber defined within a drum of the dryer appliance. The method also includes receiving a signal indicative of an atmospheric condition external to the dryer appliance and determining whether the indicated atmospheric condition is less than a threshold. The method may further include directing a flow of air from the chamber to an interior space when the indicated atmospheric condition external to the dryer is less than the threshold, and activating a component of an environmental control system in communication with the interior space when the indicated atmospheric condition of the ambient environment external to the dryer is less than the threshold.
VENTILATION SOLUTION FOR CLOSED-LOOP DRYER SYSTEMS
A drying appliance includes a cabinet. A drum processes articles of laundry. The drum is positioned for rotational operation within the cabinet. A blower directs process air through a recirculating airflow path that includes the drum. The drum and the blower are activated in an operating state and deactivated in an idle state. A first operable vent is positioned proximate a front of the cabinet. A second operable vent is positioned proximate a rear of the cabinet. The first and second operable vents define an open position after the drum and the blower define the idle state. The first and second operable vents define a closed position after the drum and the blower define the operating state.
Clothing care machine and control method thereof
A clothing care machine and a control method thereof are provided. The clothing care machine includes a drying chamber, an air supply device, a first humidity sensor and a second humidity sensor. The drying chamber is used for containing clothes. The air supply device is communicated with the drying chamber for supplying hot air to the drying chamber. The first humidity sensor is disposed in the drying chamber to detect the humidity in the drying chamber. The second humidity sensor is disposed outside the drying chamber to detect the ambient humidity outside the drying chamber. The clothing care machine and the control method can automatically judge whether the drying process is completed and stop working according to the humidity change in the drying chamber and the ambient humidity, the judgment is more accurate to effectively improve the drying effect and reduce the energy consumption, and the intelligent degree is higher.
LAUNDRY TREATING APPARATUS
A laundry treating apparatus includes a cabinet having a bottom plate that defines a bottom surface of the cabinet, a drum rotatably disposed inside the cabinet and configured to accommodate laundry, a hot air supply disposed at the bottom plate and configured to generate hot air to be supplied into the drum, a rear plate that defines a rear surface of the cabinet and includes a duct configured to receive the hot air from the hot air supply and to guide the hot air into the drum, a driver coupled to a rear side of the rear plate and configured to provide a rotational force to the drum, and a fan duct that is coupled to a front side of the rear plate and connects the hot air supply to the duct. The fan duct is configured to transfer the hot air of the hot air supply to the duct.
Housing for receiving contaminated airflow from a clothes dryer or from a building's interior, constructed for filtering and recycling thru an interior piping system or disposing out to a building's exterior and comprising a safety mechanical shutdown system of the clothes dryer
Listed are some of this invention's unique features for producing a healthier home and a safer clothes dryer vent within the same housing system, which may be installed within a typical wall system or as a free-standing unit in a laundry room.
Included are two airflow receiving ports that accepts airflow from a clothes dryer or optionally from a house's interior rooms and two airflow exhaust ports that discharge the same airflow into an exhaust pipe to the outside or optionally into the building interior as recycled airflow.
A drainage device removes water derived from condensate which forms in the exhaust pipe and otherwise flows back into the housing.
Two (2) receiving ports and the two (2) exiting ports combine to provide four (4) combinations of airflow management.
The choice of which of the four (4) airflow ports are activated for airflow passage is subject to a selection from a control system which contains switches for the desired airflow management thru the housing.
Additionally, an exhaust system constructed to select airflow destinations, first destination, airflow can be directed to exit to the building's outside atmosphere or second destination, airflow can be directed to exit into an interior duct system for recycling of the filtered airflow.
Additionally, the control system contains monitors and sensors to indicate unsafe temperatures, air pressure changes or filter blockage within the housing.
A shutdown mechanism within the control system stops the airflow exhaust fan and stops the clothes dryer to provide an additional measure of safety.
Included in the invention is a multi-filter filtration system that includes filters that block lint particulate from a clothes dryer and block indoor pollutants comprising pre-filters, True HEPA filters, with activated carbon filters and air cleaners to meet EPA Indoor Air Quality Standards and MERV Ratings.
A multi-speed airflow exhaust fan moves airflow in thru the receiving ports, thru the multi-filters and out thru the exiting ports. Additionally, within the housing, access openings with removable windows provide internal inspections and accessibility.
In conclusion the elements of this invention combine to improve the efficiency and safety of a clothes dryer's exhaust system and improve the indoor air quality of a home or commercial building.
Dryer and controlling method for the same
A controlling method for a dryer is provided. The controlling method includes the steps of rotating a drum in a first direction and a second direction which is an opposite direction to the first direction by a motor, measuring the load of the motor and identifying the weight of drying materials based on the lower motor load among the load of the motor measured during rotation in the first direction and the load of the motor measured during rotation in the second direction.
CLOTHING TREATMENT APPARATUS AND ONLINE SYSTEM COMPRISING SAME
The present invention relates to an online system and a control method therefor, the online system comprising a clothing apparatus which may determine a cycle or an option by calculating the contamination level and wrinkling of clothes, or intensively treat parts that are contaminated or wrinkled, or recommend laundering with a washing machine when the contamination level or wrinkling is equal to or greater than a reference value, or induce a server or a washing machine to determine an appropriate cycle or option for laundering the clothes.
