UV DISINFECTION APPARATUS, METHOD THEREFOR, AND USE THEREOF
A UV disinfection apparatus (1, 1), with a housing (10) and a UV light source (11) therein. An electrical energy store (15) is provided in the housing (10). The housing (10) is sealed off, and a sensor is provided therein, which activates the UV light source (11) only when the laundry treatment device (2) is in operation. Also, a method for disinfecting laundry accommodated in a rotatable drum (21) by means of a UV disinfection apparatus (1, 1) which is autonomous placed into or set in the drum (21) together with the laundry. The UV light source (11) is only activated when the laundry treatment device is in operation.
METHOD FOR DETERMINING A POSITION OF AN APPARATUS WHICH CAN BE INSERTED INTO A DOMESTIC DEVICE
The present disclosure concerns a method performed by at least one device, including: acquiring location data indicative of a location of a device which may be placed in a liquid- and/or gas-carrying household appliance; determining treatment chamber data indicative of a conclusion as to whether or not the at least one device is placed in a treatment chamber of the household appliance, the treatment chamber data being determined at least partially based on the acquired location data; and outputting or causing the output of the determined treatment chamber data. Furthermore, the present disclosure concerns a device and a system.
SYSTEMS AND PROCESSES FOR TREATING TEXTILES WITH AN ANTIMICROBIAL AGENT
According to an aspect of the present disclosure, a method of treating a textile with an antimicrobial agent includes receiving a textile in a washer system. The textile includes an identification tag, which uniquely identifies the textile among a plurality of textiles. The method also includes detecting, in the washer system, the identification tag. The method further includes determining, based on the detected identification tag, one or more parameters for treating the textile with an antimicrobial agent. The antimicrobial agent includes a metallic ion. The method also includes washing the textile with a detergent, and, after washing the textile with the detergent, treating the textile with the antimicrobial agent based on the one or more parameters.
WASHING MACHINE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SAME
Disclosed are a washing machine and a method for controlling same. A washing machine according to the present invention comprises: a drum for accommodating laundry; an additive input unit which inputs an additive into the drum so as to coat the laundry with fragrant particles; a temperature adjustment unit which generates a hot wind and a cold wind to adjust the temperature inside the drum; and a control unit that controls the temperature adjustment unit so that the temperature inside the drum is set to a first threshold temperature, controls the additive input unit so that the additive is input into the drum when the temperature is set to the first threshold temperature, and controls the temperature adjustment unit so that the temperature inside the drum is set to a second threshold temperature lower than the first threshold temperature when the additive is input into the drum. Accordingly, the washing machine can provide the same effect as a piece of laundry being washed in a normal washing cycle when laundry is washed through a refresh cycle.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETECTING AND REMOVING ODOR AND BACTERIA FROM A SEALED VOLUME OF AN APPLIANCE USING OZONE
A method and system are provided that include features for operating an appliance in an odor removal cycle. In one aspect, an appliance has a housing defining a sealable volume and includes an ozone generator, an ozone detection device, and a controller. In an odor removal cycle, the controller causes the ozone generator to inject, at a predetermined injection interval, predefined dosages of ozone into the sealable volume of the appliance. The controller monitors the concentration level within the sealable volume after each injection based on inputs received from the ozone detection device. The controller ascertains when the concentration level reaches a maximum concentration level threshold, and when this occurs, the controller can cease the injections and can activate one or more ozone removal devices to remove the ozone from the sealable volume to a safe level.
Clothes treatment apparatus and control method thereof
A clothes treatment apparatus and a control method thereof are disclosed. The clothes treatment apparatus includes a fixed nozzle device and a moving nozzle device to supply at least one of steam and heated air to clothes. As a result, the clothes may be washed effectively or refreshed.
LAUNDRY TREATING APPARATUS AND WATER SUPPLY CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
A laundry treating apparatus includes a cabinet, a water tub, a detergent box, a main passage having a main valve and connected to the detergent box, a pre-passage having a pre-valve and connected to the detergent box, and a controller. The controller is configured to perform a method including a first main-continuous supply process of continuously supplying wash water by opening the main valve, a pre-continuous supply process of continuously supplying wash water by opening the pre-valve, and a second main-continuously supply process of continuously supplying wash water by opening the main valve. The controller controls each of the main valve and the pre-valve to supply wash water to the detergent box through the first main-continuously supply process, the pre-continuous supply process, and the second main-continuous supply process. The apparatus and method may reduce or remove a detergent residue in the detergent box.
LAUNDRY TREATING APPARATUS
A laundry treating apparatus includes a cabinet, a water tub provided inside the cabinet, and a detergent box to supply detergent to the water tub. The detergent box includes a housing connected to communicate with the water tub, a drawer having a plurality of detergent storage spaces and received in the housing to be drawn out, and a distribution unit to distributively supply wash water into the plurality of detergent storage spaces. The housing may include a through portion communicating with the water tub, a horizontal partition protruding above the through portion and disposed in a left and right direction, and a wash water guide unit to guide the wash water so that a plurality of wash water movement paths is defined at a front region of the horizontal partition. Accordingly, detergent residue at an inner front region of the housing can be suppressed.
