A control method for a clothes drying apparatus that aims to solve the problem of a load being prone to entangling when an existing clothes drying apparatus is used for drying a large load. For this purpose, the control method for a clothes drying apparatus includes: determining the size of a load in a load determining stage; and when the load is a large load, controlling a drying drum to rotate unidirectionally in a first heating stage, and controlling the drying drum to alternately rotate normally and reversely in a second heating stage. Accordingly, a drying effect can be guaranteed while the load is effectively prevented from being knotted and entangled, and the drying time is shortened.

A control method for an intelligent washing machine according to an embodiment of the present invention may: predict a washing machine cycle from user information; control the washing machine according to the predicted washing machine cycle; acquire an image of the inside of the drum by means of a camera while the washing machine is being controlled; predict the contamination level inside the drum by using the acquired image; and perform an additional control operation according to the predicted result. The intelligent washing machine may be linked to an Artificial Intelligence module, an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), a robot, an Augmented Reality (AR) device, a virtual reality (VR) device, a device related to a 5G service, or the like.

The method includes rotating the drum to a target rotation speed, determining a respective drum motor torque value for each rotation, determining a distribution characteristic value of the drum motor torque values, comparing the distribution characteristic value to a predetermined threshold value, performing a correction operation to address an entrapment condition upon determining that the distribution characteristic value is above the predetermined threshold value, and proceeding with the laundry washing cycle upon determining that the distribution characteristic value is below the predetermined threshold value.
