The clothing management apparatus includes a steam generator configured to generate steam, a steam discharging member configured to receive steam generated by the steam generator through a hose and discharge the received steam to clothing, a temperature sensor configured to sense a temperature in the clothing management apparatus, and a processor configured to identify a connection state of the hose based on the temperature sensed by the temperature sensor.
DRYER APPLIANCE AND METHODS FOR DETECTING VENT OBSTRUCTION
A dryer appliance may include a cabinet, a drum, a heater assembly, a temperature sensor, and a controller. The heater assembly may be in upstream fluid communication with a drying chamber. The temperature sensor may be in upstream fluid communication with the drying chamber. The controller may be in operable communication with the heater assembly and the temperature sensor. The controller may be configured to initiate a test cycle. The test cycle may include activating the heater assembly, detecting a first temperature upstream of the drum at a first moment following activating the heater assembly, detecting a second temperature upstream of the drum at a second moment following the first moment, determining a temperature delta as a difference between the second temperature and the first temperature, comparing the temperature delta to a delta threshold, and initiating an alert message based on comparing the temperature delta to the delta threshold.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR USING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TO PERFORM DETERGENT DISPENSER DIAGNOSTICS IN A WASHING
A washing machine appliance includes a wash basket that is rotatably mounted within a wash tub and that defines a wash chamber for receiving a load of clothes. A dispensing assembly selectively dispenses a flow of wash fluid through a discharge nozzle into the wash tub and a camera assembly is used to monitor the wash fluid and diagnose issues related to the detergent dispenser. Specifically, a controller of the washing machine appliance uses the camera assembly to obtain one or more images of the flow of dispensed wash fluid, analyze the one or more images using a machine learning image recognition process to determine an actual detergent content of the flow of wash fluid, determine that the actual detergent content is different than a target detergent content, and implement a responsive action, e.g., such as stopping the operating cycle and notifying a user.
Flexible Waterproofing/Impregnation and Drying Device
The present invention relates to a flexible waterproofing/impregnation and drying de-vice and a method of drying items that have undergone a solvent-based or water-based waterproofing/impregnation process. The flexible waterproofing/impregnation and dry-ing device is configured with inlets for waterproofing/impregnation fluid for water-proofing/impregnating items and one or more heat generating units for effective drying of items, said items being for example clothes, shoes, bags, purses, blankets and garments.
SECURE REMOTE TESTING OF HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCES
Household appliances and methods of testing are provided. The household appliance includes a mechanical component and a controller in operative communication with the mechanical component. The controller has a partitioned memory. The partitioned memory includes a testing partition and a control partition. The controller is configured for and/or the method includes authorizing a user of the household appliance and verifying a personality of the a household appliance. Testing software is loaded into the testing partition of the memory of the controller. The testing software is executed from the testing partition, whereby the mechanical component of the household appliance is operated. The method also includes and/or the controller is also configured for exiting remote testing mode after executing the testing software and deleting the testing software from the partitioned memory when exiting the remote testing mode.
DOMESTIC APPLIANCES ACTIVITY MONITORING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Systems and methods for detecting activity include a first domestic appliance and a second domestic appliance. Such methods may include detecting a first interaction with one of the first domestic appliance and the second domestic appliance and increasing an activity counter by a first amount based on the first interaction. The methods also include detecting a second interaction with one of the first domestic appliance and the second domestic appliance and increasing the activity counter by a second amount based on the second interaction. The methods further include providing a user notification when the activity counter crosses a predetermined threshold.
CLOTHES DRYER
A clothes dryer includes a housing, a tumbler and a heat exchange component. The housing has an air cavity therein. The air cavity and the tumbler form a closed-loop air duct. A blower impeller for driving air to flow is provided in the housing. The heat exchange component comprises a compressor, a condenser and an evaporator. The compressor is used to compress a working medium into a high temperature and high pressure state, and the condenser communicates with the evaporator through a throttle capillary. The heat exchange component further includes a reversing valve. The reversing valve can switch between two modes through a remote control program. The clothes dryer can perform self-cleaning.
METHOD FOR OPERATING A WASHING MACHINE, AND WASHING MACHINE
The invention relates to a method for operating a washing machine having a suds container for holding washing liquid, a non-ribbed drum rotatably mounted in the suds container for holding laundry, a motor for driving the drum, and a control device, wherein the method comprises a step for detecting when laundry is sliding and/or rolling, comprising, while rotating the drum, sampling a variable related to a torque of the motor or a rotational speed of the drum over a predetermined period of time; and determining whether the laundry is sliding and/or rolling in the drum based on the variable sampled over the period of time.
The invention further relates to a corresponding washing machine.
Building's airflow and a clothes dryer's exhaust filtering and recycling system comprising an emergency shutdown element, condensate separation, and multiple airflow configurations within a housing
Listed are some of this invention's unique features for producing a healthier home and a safer clothes dryer vent within the same housing system, which may be installed within a typical wall system or as a free-standing unit in a laundry room.
Included are two airflow receiving ports that accepts airflow from a clothes dryer or optionally from a house's interior rooms and two airflow exhaust ports that discharge the same airflow into an exhaust pipe to the outside or optionally into the building interior as recycled airflow.
A drainage device removes water derived from condensate which forms in the exhaust pipe and otherwise flows back into the housing.
Two (2) receiving ports and the two (2) exiting ports combine to provide four (4) combinations of airflow management.
The choice of which of the four (4) airflow ports are activated for airflow passage is subject to a selection from a control system which contains switches for the desired airflow management thru the housing.
Additionally, the control system contains monitors and sensors to indicate unsafe temperatures, air pressure changes or filter blockage within the housing.
A shutdown mechanism within the control system stops the airflow exhaust fan and stops the clothes dryer to provide an additional measure of safety.
Included in the invention is a multi-filter filtration system that includes filters that block lint particulate from a clothes dryer and block indoor pollutants comprising pre-filters, True HEPA filters, with activated carbon filters and air cleaners to meet EPA Indoor Air Quality Standards and MERV Ratings.
A multi-speed airflow exhaust fan moves airflow in thru the receiving ports, thru the multi-filters and out thru the exiting ports. Additionally, within the housing, access openings with removable windows provide internal inspections and accessibility.
In conclusion the elements of this invention combine to improve the efficiency and safety of a clothes dryer's exhaust system and improve the indoor air quality of a home or commercial building.
