DRYER AIRFLOW CALIBRATION AND ALERTS
Detection of airflow conditions, such as blockage issues, in a dryer laundry appliance is provided. A current or instant calibration is performed utilizing an airflow model to infer, based on current or instant sensor data from sensors of the dryer laundry appliance, an estimated airflow for an exhaust air conduit of the dryer laundry appliance. The estimated airflow is compared to a baseline airflow previously inferred by the airflow model during a baseline calibration using previous sensor data from the sensors of the dryer laundry appliance. An alert is provided responsive to the estimated airflow being below a threshold level relative to the baseline airflow.
Washer and Dryer System and Method of Use
The present invention relates to a combination washing and drying appliance for laundry. The appliance is configured to automatically transfer wet clothes from the washing unit to the dryer unit for automatically drying the clothes. The appliance has either vertical or horizontal stacked washing and dryer units. The washing and dryer units have a common conduit for automatically transferring the wet laundry from the washing unit to the dryer unit after a wash cycle is completed. The dryer unit is automatically activated for drying wet clothes when the wet clothes are deposed in the dryer drum of the dryer unit. The common conduit is accessible only after completion of the wash cycle using sliding doors positioned on the washing tub of the washing unit and the dryer drum of the dryer unit.
System and method for using sound to monitor the operation of a dryer appliance
A dryer appliance includes a microphone for monitoring sound generated during operation of the dryer appliance and a controller is operably coupled to the microphone. The controller is configured for obtaining a sound signal generated during operation of the dryer appliance and converting the sound signal into a spectrogram that represents a sound frequency and a sound amplitude over time. An artificial intelligence image recognition process is used to analyze the spectrogram to identify one or more sound signatures that are associated with particular operating conditions, and operation of the dryer appliance is adjusted based at least in part on the identification of the sound signature.
NIGHT CYCLE FOR A LAUNDRY APPLIANCE
A laundry dryer includes a cabinet, a user interface that is operably coupled to the cabinet, a motor that is disposed within the cabinet and communicatively coupled with the user interface, and a controller that is communicatively coupled with the user interface and the motor, respectively. The controller includes a memory storage that includes a plurality of night routines. The controller is configured with a selectable time point and is further configured to select at least one of the plurality of night routines at the selectable time point.

A laundry treating apparatus may comprise a cabinet that defines an exterior design; a drum rotatably mounted in the cabinet and configured to accommodate laundry; a drive unit or motor configured to rotate the drum; a hot air supply unit or hot air blower configured to supply high-temperature air to the drum and in communication with the drum; a collection portion or liquid chamber provided to collect water condensed from the drum and in communication with the hot air supply unit; and a drainage pump configured to discharge the water collected in the collection portion outside the cabinet such that the laundry treating apparatus may sense whether the condensate collected in the collection portion is frozen and thaw the frozen condensate. A control method of the laundry treating apparatus may be provided to thaw and operate the laundry treating apparatus.

A washing machine includes: a tub and a detergent supply device which supplies a liquid additive to the tub, wherein the detergent supply device includes: a cartridge containing the additive; a check valve assembly including a check valve for controlling extracting of the additive, and a check valve housing forming a space in which the extracted additive is temporarily stored; a pump for extracting the additive by changing a pressure in the space; and an outlet passage through which the temporarily stored additive is discharged, wherein the check valve assembly comprises a first outlet opening communicating with the cartridge, a second outlet opening communicating with the outlet passage, a first check valve for opening and closing the first outlet opening, and a second check valve for opening and closing the second outlet opening, wherein the first and second check valves are opened in the same direction.

A washing machine according to an aspect of the present disclosure includes a concentration sensing part configured to a sense a concentration of a specific component in air measured inside or outside the washing tub, a controller configured to switch the door and the washing tub to a safe mode based on the concentration of the specific component sensed by the concentration sensing part, and a release signal detector configured to detect a release signal for switching the door and the washing tub, which have been switched to the safe mode by the controller, back to a normal mode.

The detergent recommendation method of the present disclosure includes: obtaining usage numbers respectively corresponding to various types of washing programs used by a user where the various types of washing programs respectively correspond to different types of detergents, selecting N types of washing programs with a maximum usage number from various types of washing programs according to the usage numbers, and pushing a prompt information of detergents respectively corresponding to the N types of the washing programs to the user, and can preferentially recommend the detergent suitable for the washing program with higher operating frequency to the user based on the usage number of the user using different washing programs.

Disclosed is a laundry treating apparatus including: a water discharger supply pipe for supplying water stored in a water collector to a water discharger; a water supply pipe constructed to connect the water discharger and the water collector to each other; and a water collector water-level sensor for measuring a water-level inside the water collector, and a controller configured to control the laundry treating apparatus comprising: a water-level sensing operation in which the water collector water-level sensor measures the water-level of the water collector during a drying operation; and a cleaning water supply operation in which when the water-level of the water collector is lower than a predefined cleaning-related reference water-level, a water supply valve is controlled to supply water stored in the water discharger to the water collector.
