Method to manufacture a textile product, a use thereof and a device for applying the method
The invention pertains to a method to manufacture a textile product comprising a first sheet having polymer yarns fastened to this sheet to form a pile thereon, the method comprising providing the sheet, stitching the polymer yarns through the sheet to form the pile on a first surface of the sheet and loops of the yarns at a second surface of the sheet, heating the second surface of the sheet to at least partly melt the loops of the yarns to fasten the yarns to the sheet, wherein the method comprises measuring a roughness of the second surface with the at least partly molten loops of the yarns thereon, after the at least partly molten loops have solidified and, if the roughness differs from a predetermined surface roughness, adapting the method to manufacture the textile product, in order to obtain a second surface roughness that differs from the measured surface roughness. The invention also pertains to a device for applying this method.
QUALIFICATION AND REPAIR STATION
Apparatus for qualification and repair of multi-filament tow are provided herein. In some embodiments, an apparatus in for inspecting and repairing a multi-filament tow includes a first spool having a multi-filament tow wound on the first spool; a first tow tensioner following the first spool to impart a predetermined tension on the multi-filament tow; a de-sizing chamber comprising a heater to heat the multi-filament tow to a first temperature suitable for removing a coating on the multi-filament tow; an inspection chamber configured to inspect the multi-filament tow for defects; a repair chamber configured to repair the defects in the multi-filament tow; a second tow tensioner following the repair chamber to impart a predetermined tension on the multi-filament tow; and a second spool following the second tow tensioner to collect the multi-filament tow.
System for cutting of cutting stock
The invention relates to a system made of an electronic display device having a display screen for displaying augmented reality, an electronic memory, and a cutting device for cutting planar cutting stock, e.g., paperboard, corrugated cardboard, film, textile, plastic, foam, or wooden slabs or sheets. The system has a computer unit for computing a position and alignment of the display device in relation to the cutting device. The display device is designed to be worn by a user and positioned in the field of vision of the user. The system is designed to display to the user retrieved cutting-stock-related information by means of the display screen in a manner readable by the user in the field of vision of the user, adapted to the position and alignment of the display device in relation to the cutting device, and linked to an actual and/or setpoint position of the cutting stock.

TEST METHOD AND DEVICE FOR EVALUATING TEXTILE FABRIC COVERAGE
A method of and device for testing and a scale for evaluating a textile for use in an article of clothing constructed of the textile. The method comprises positioning a textile sample within a path of a generated beam of light and measuring the amount of photons absorbed when the light is transmitted through the sample. The amount of light transmitted through the sample is compared to a standardized scale for evaluating the amount of coverage provided by the sample for the textiles fitness for use in the article of clothing. The articles of clothing may be articles of swimwear, athletic wear, or athleisure wear.

Fabric type identifying apparatus and fabric type identifying method
To provide a fabric type identifying apparatus and a fabric type identifying method enabling to stably identify a type of fabric with high accuracy. A fabric type identifying apparatus A for identifying a type of a fabric F provided with a color thread T at an edge portion includes a camera 51 for photographing the fabric F, and an image processing apparatus 52 for receiving an image input and photographed by the camera 51. The image processing apparatus 52 acquires a color value of the color thread T from the received image of the fabric F, and identifies the type of the fabric F on a basis of the color value. Since the type of the fabric F is identified on the basis of the color of the color thread T, the type of the fabric F is enabled to be stably identified with high accuracy regardless of stretching and shrinking of the fabric F.

AUTOMATED CONTROL AND INSPECTION SYSTEM FOR MANUFACTURE AND MEASUREMENT OF APPAREL
An automated control apparatus, method, and system for improving inspection, measurement, and fabrication of apparel is described. The system is used to capture an image of the apparel or apparel-related object and convert that image into a digital representation which can then be sent to and stored in a database to be used to recreate ideal apparel with reproducible measurements and patterns. The system also allows for comparisons with already existing ideal images and/or the apparel itself to determine if the apparel or apparel-related object possess the correct dimensions, shapes, colors, textures and fabrics, etc.
