Switch assemblies, rail-mounted lift systems, and rail-mounted lift units having emergency stop devices

A switch assembly for a lift unit includes a switch, an emergency stop device, and a reset actuator. The switch is arranged to move between a closed position, wherein the switch electrically couples a lift motor of the lift unit to an energy source, and an open position, wherein the switch electrically decouples the lift motor from the energy source. The emergency stop device is coupled to the switch and arranged to move the switch from the closed position to the open position. The reset actuator is coupled to the switch and arranged to move the switch from the open position to the closed position, wherein the reset actuator is controllable to move the switch from the open position to the closed position.

Patient transport apparatus user interface

A patient transport apparatus operable by a user for transporting a patient along stairs. A seat section is coupled to a support structure supporting a track assembly having a belt. A motor selectively generates torque to drive the belt. A user interface is arranged for engagement by the user, and has a direction input control for selecting a drive direction of the motor, and an activation input control for operating the motor to drive the belt. A controller in communication with the motor and the user interface is configured to limit operation of the motor in response to user engagement of the activation input control preceding engagement of the direction input control to prevent driving the belt, and to permit operation of the motor in response to user engagement of the activation input control following engagement of the direction input control to drive the belt in a selected drive direction.

Sterilization and humidification apparatus and incubator

A sterilization and humidification apparatus includes a heating chamber, a filter and a humidification chamber. The heating chamber heats a gas so as to sterilize the gas. The humidification chamber is adapted so that a liquid, which has been filtered by the filter, evaporates into the sterilized gas, thereby causing the sterilized gas to cool, and outputting a humidified gas at a desired temperature. The apparatus may include a bypass chamber to provide a path for the gas to bypass the humidification chamber. The apparatus may be adapted particularly for use in an incubator.

Patient support apparatus communication systems

A location detection system for person support apparatuses includes multiple network wireless access points that communicate with a plurality of mobile transceivers positioned on board the person support apparatuses. Based upon signal strength data (e.g. RSSI or RCPI) of messages from the access points to the transceivers, the locations of the person support apparatuses are determined. In some embodiments, the person support apparatuses include an additional location detection system that utilizes fixed locators having short range transceivers to generate a second location determination of the person support apparatuses. In still other embodiments, the person support apparatuses utilize the second location detection system to determine the location of the wireless access points. The person support apparatuses may also broadcast their location to other devices that then utilize the received signal strengths of those messages to determine their own location.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR PROVIDING OPEN ACCESS POINT INDICATORS IN AN INFANT CARE STATION

An infant care station can include a lighting system, at least one access point, and a processor that can detect that the at least one access point is open. The processor can also provide, using the lighting system, a first color light in response to the detecting that the at least one access point is open, and provide the first color light with a modified brightness or provide a second color light with the lighting system after a predetermined period of time elapses with the at least one access point being open.

System, method, and computer readable medium for dynamic pressure damage risk assessment and response

The present disclosure generally relates to the field of temporal and spatial risk mapping and risk response. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to spatial and temporal mapping of outcomes, risk analysis, and responsive and preventative actions derived through artificial intelligence driven workflow augmentation using spatial and temporal data mapping of data from a plurality of historical and streaming data sources.

Systems and Methods for Managing A Person's Position to Encourage Proning
20230165524 · 2023-06-01 · ·

Systems, devices, and methods are provided to facilitate the implementation of a “proning protocol” to improve a clinical outcome for a person having SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) or other condition that may benefit from spending time in the prone position. For example, a system may include a mobile device (e.g., smartphone, tablet, etc.) providing a proning application configured to manage a configuration and implementation of a proning protocol for a person and configured to receive sensor data from (a) a wearable sensor device secured to the person and including sensor(s) (e.g., accelerometer(s)) that monitor the person body position, and/or (b) other sensor(s) that monitor other physiological parameters relative to the proning protocol. The proning application may determine and output feedback to manage the person's position based at least on the received sensor data and defined parameters of the proning protocol.

BED DEVICE
