Mattress bladder control using a bleed valve

The present disclosure relates to patient support systems, such as hospital beds, and particularly to reconfigurable patient support systems movable among a number of different positions. The present disclosure further relates to control algorithms and interfaces for use in patient support systems.

Adjustable seat

A seat assembly includes a seat frame, a back frame defining a back plane pivotally connected to the seat frame at a pivot joint, a back support slideably secured to the back frame, and a back support adjusting mechanism. The back support adjusting mechanism includes a first linking member coupling the back support to the seat frame and pivotable about the pivot axis, and a first slide member slideably supported by the back frame and operatively connected to the first linking member. A second slide member is affixed to the back support and slideably supported by the back frame. A second linking member operatively connects the first and second slide members. Pivoting movement of the back frame from the upright position to the reclined position slides the first slide member away from the pivot axis, causing the second linking member to slide the back support toward the pivot axis.

INTEGRATED PATIENT PLATFORM

An integrated patient platform system and method for performing medical procedures below a patient's body is disclosed. In some embodiments, a superior level surface of an integrated patient platform is configured to support a patient lying in a prone or supine position, and an inferior level surface of the integrated patient platform is configured to support one or more medical procedure components. The superior level surface includes an aperture disposed therethrough. At least a portion of the aperture forms an examination window that is adjustable in size and position and configured to receive a portion of a patient over or in the examination window. A medical procedure component may be positioned on the inferior level surface to contact or otherwise interface with the portion of the patient positioned over or in the examination window.

PATIENT SUPPORT USABLE WITH BARIATRIC PATIENTS

A patient support may be adjustable in height, width, length or a combination thereof. The patient support may be useable with normal sized patients or with bariatric patients. The patient support has a variety of features to enhance operability and/or functionality, including a width adjustable caster frame, width adjustable deck portions, a width adjustable headboard and an extendible foot board to provide extra length. An enhanced lift mechanism can accommodate bariatric patients and alternative functionality in achieving deck positions improves patient comfort. Various parts of the patient support including deck panels and the footboard may be removed and replaced with ease without complicated connectors.

Wheelchair backrest assembly

A seat assembly including a seat, a support plate configured to pivot with respect to the seat, a slide plate slidably mounted to the support plate, and a pivot arm positioned between the support plate and the slide plate and connected to the slide plate and the seat. When the support plate is pivotally adjusted with respect to the seat, the pivot arm causes the slide plate to slide along the support plate.

TILT-IN-SPACE WHEELCHAIR WITH DYNAMIC TILT RANGE

A wheelchair provides a tilt function characterized by tilt-in-space behaviour in the posterior tilt range and wherein in the anterior tilt range, the seat to backrest angle opens as the seat tilts forward.

Occupant support with a translatable and parallel translatable upper body section

An occupant support system for supporting an occupant comprises a frame, an articulable assembly which includes an upper body section, and a motion control system arranged to rotate the upper body section by an amount relative to the frame, to translate the upper body section along the frame by an amount CS, and to translate the upper body section by an amount BS in a direction parallel to the upper body section. Both BS and CS are a function of .

Bed apparatus

To provide a bed apparatus in which the user's posture can be easily adjusted, which can be divided into lightweight and compact sections and is easy to convey, assembly and disassemble, and has improved work efficiency and maintenance performance. The bed apparatus includes: an upper frame including a back-raising mechanism and a knee-raising mechanism; and link type lifting mechanisms for moving up and down the upper frame, and is constructed such that the link type lifting mechanisms are arranged under the upper frame on the head side and on the foot side, respectively, a connection frame that integrally joins the link type lifting mechanisms to one another, is arranged between the head-side link type lifting mechanism and the foot-side link type lifting mechanism, and the operations of the back-raising mechanism and knee-raising mechanism, the head-side link type lifting mechanisms can be controlled individually or in cooperation.

A bed includes a base, a mattress-supporting device, two driving units and a limiting unit. The base includes two tracks. The mattress-supporting device includes a frame, a body-supporting element and a leg-supporting element. The frame includes rollers supported on the tracks. The body-supporting element is pivotally connected to an end of the frame. The leg-supporting element is pivotally connected to another end of the frame. The first driving unit is operable for pivoting the body-supporting element. The second driving unit is operable for pivoting the leg-supporting element. The limiting unit is movable between a first position to allow horizontal movement of the mattress-supporting device on the base as the body-supporting element is pivoted and a second position to avoid horizontal movement of the mattress-supporting device on the base as the body-supporting element is pivoted.
