Device For Converting A Bed, In Particular A Care Bed, Sick Bed, Hospital Bed, Or Intensive-Care Bed, From A Horizontal Position Into An Inclined Position With Respect To The Logitudinal Sides Of The Bed
20190183708 · 2019-06-20 ·

A configuration for moving a bed, in particular a care bed, sick bed, or intensive-care bed, from a horizontal position into an inclined position with respect to the longitudinal sides of the bed. A receiving device for receiving the bed and a stand device for ensuring a stable stand of the configuration are operatively connected via an adjusting mechanism which inclines the receiving device relative to the stand device. The verticalization process is decoupled from the respective existing bed and thus allows a large degree of flexibility for care personnel during a routine therapy session, allowing a safe and comfortable therapy for a patient confined to a bed. The configuration according to the invention is suitable for both a new installation as well as for retrofitting medical and/or care device equipment and advantageously saves on the otherwise necessary expenditures on beds with their own verticalization mechanism.

Systems and methods for powered wheelchair personal transfer

The invention includes methods and apparatuses for patient transfer from a rollable chair to a bed and back. A rollable chair includes a first frame having a seat; a second frame coupled to the first frame, the second frame having a backrest configured to move relative to the first frame; and a third frame coupled to the first frame, the third frame having a track having a curvilinear length configured to allow the first frame to rotate and to translate relative to the third frame. A bed includes a chair-receiving frame configured to couple to the first frame of the rollable chair. The rollable chair and the bed work in tandem to transfer a patient, for example using coordinated, automated motions.

Patient care and transport assembly

A versatile patient care and transport assembly having a patient support frame constructed of multiple sections, each including pluralities of individual patient sensors, and which can be cooperatively tilted or otherwise inter-articulated to a variety of support positions. Pull-out/expandable side and end railings are provided for patient safety. Power and drive components are incorporated into a base module upon which the patient support module is mounted in multiple elevatable and/or articulating fashion. Also provided is paired side-by-side docking of two identical assemblies such as for facilitate patient transfer and in order to drastically reduce the risks associated with handling of patients by caregivers.

Modular wheelchair system

A convertible transport system including a seat portion, a back support portion, and a pivoting mechanism coupled to the seat portion and to the back support portion. The pivoting mechanism is configured to adjust and lock the back support portion relative to the seat portion, the pivoting mechanism having three operative states: a free pivoting state allowing the back support portion to pivot relative to the seat portion about an axis; a ratcheting state allowing the back support portion to only pivot toward the seat portion about the axis; and a locking state in which the pivoting mechanism is locked to thereby prevent a pivoting movement of the back support portion relative to the seat portion.

PATIENT TRANSFER SYSTEM
20190125603 · 2019-05-02 ·

The embodiments herein provide a patient transfer system for transferring a patient form one surface to another with a single attendant/caretaker. The system comprises a main base with wheels, a column actuator for height adjustment and a patient resting surface. The patient resting surface comprises two surfaces made of a mattress and a sheet. During transfer of patient from one surface to another, the system is attached/locked to a firm surface like floor, wall or ceiling using mechanical attachment devices for providing stability. The sheet when pulled lengthwise is transformed into an almost hard surface. A frame with sheet carrying patient is moved horizontally or vertically for transferring the patient. The sheet is made out of radiolucent material to avoid any effects due to radiations during X-ray, CT scans, MRI etc. The system is also convertible into a wheelchair using actuators when needed.

HOSPITAL BED COMPUTER SYSTEM

A point-of-care computer system is provided, including a display positioned in a point-of-care location. The point-of-care computer includes hardware coupled to a frame of a hospital bed.

Apparatus and method for temporarily securing a movable accessory device relative to a movable patient
10226570 · 2019-03-12 · ·

This disclosure includes apparatuses and methods for temporarily securing a movable accessory structure relative to a movable patient-support structure. Some of the present apparatuses include an S-shaped body having a front, a back, a top, a bottom, a first side, a second side, and a longitudinal axis extending through the first and second sides, the body defining a first hook on the first side, and a second hook on the second side, the first hook opening toward the front of the body to define a first opening, and the second hook opening toward the back of the body to define a second opening. In some apparatuses, the first hook is dimensioned to receive a first member of the patient-support structure, and the second hook is dimensioned to receive a second member of the accessory structure, such that the body will resist separation of the accessory structure from the patient-support structure during movement of the patient-support structure.
