FLOORING ARRANGEMENT FOR AN AIRCRAFT

A flooring arrangement for an aircraft cabin and an aircraft with the flooring arrangement. The flooring arrangement at least one insulating layer for insulating the cabin; a wire mesh disposed above the at least one insulating layer; a carpet layer disposed above the wire mesh, the carpet layer and the wire mesh being in electrically conductive contact; and at least one resistive element connected to the wire mesh, the wire mesh being structured and arranged for being electrically connected to a conductive structure of the aircraft via the at least one resistive element. The resistive element allows transmission, from the wire mesh to the conductive structure, of electrostatic charges developed on the carpet layer, and impedes transmission, from the conductive structure to the wire mesh, of high current events experienced by the aircraft.

Mass production of carpet tiles can be enabled by a method for manufacturing a carpet tile by applying an adhesive layer to a carpet tile base material containing pile, the method including: a first process of mixing 15 to 25 wt. % of urethane resin glue to an acrylic foamed resin to produce 100 wt. % of a mixture, thereby obtaining an adhesive; a second process of subjecting the adhesive to viscosity adjustment to adjust viscosity thereof to 3000 to 6000 cps; and a third process of applying the adhesive to the carpet tile base material by using a screen mesh having a mesh thickness of 20 m or more and less than 100 m and an opening area ratio of 40% to 60%.

PRODUCTION OF AN ARTIFICIAL TURF FIBER WITH A NON-CIRCULAR CLADDING

A method for producing an artificial turf fiber, comprising: preparing a core polymer mixture from a core polymer and a thread polymer forming beads within the core polymer; coextruding the core polymer mixture with a cladding polymer component into a monofilament, the core polymer mixture forming a cylindrical core, The cladding polymer component forming a cladding encompassing the core with a non-circular profile; quenching the monofilament; reheating the quenched monofilament; stretching the reheated monofilament to deform the beads into threadlike regions; and providing one or more of the stretched monofilaments as the artificial turf fiber.

A coconut material comprising short fibers having a length in a range of 0.5 to 25 millimeters. A method to produce short fibers includes processing coconut husks to separate coir material comprised of pith and fiber from the husks, separating short coconut fibers having a length in the rage of 0.5 to 25 millimeters from the coir material, and packaging the short coconut fibers. The method may include softening the short fibers.

ARTIFICIAL TURF WITH TEXTURED YARN AND PRODUCTION METHOD

The method of manufacturing a textured artificial turf yarn includes providing a monofilament yarn, wherein the monofilament yarn includes a polymer blend of polymers; receiving differential scanning calorimetry, DSC, data of a sample of the polymer blend; determining one or more melting temperatures of the monofilament yarn using the DSC data; and texturing the monofilament yarn within a chosen temperature range using a texturing device to provide a textured artificial turf yarn, wherein the chosen temperature range is selected using the one or more melting temperatures.

An apparatus and process of making the apparatus is provided in which consumer goods have applied thereto a substantially permanent amount of embedded diatomaceous earth. A portion of the diatomaceous earth is exposed on the surface of the consumer good and when encountered by an insect, will cause sufficient injury to the insect that the death of the insect results in a few days.

Washable Carpet Tile
20200190732 · 2020-06-18 ·

This invention relates to tufted floorcovering articles that are washable in commercial, industrial, and/or residential washing machines. In particular, this invention relates to modular carpet tiles that are constructed in such a way as to withstand exposure to at least one wash cycle in an automatic washing machine. The carpet tiles are designed to be soiled, washed, and re-used, thereby providing ideal end-use applications such as entryway floorcovering articles. A further advantage includes the ability to print advertising logos on the carpet tiles and easily change out the advertising logos as desired. Both features of the carpet tile of the present invention are achievable, at least in part, because the surface of the tile that contacts the floor does not require any type of adhesive in order to use the carpet tile for its intended function.

CARPET FOR SOUND REDUCTION MATERIAL
