METHOD OF MAKING ARTIFICIAL TURF AND ARTIFICIAL TURF MADE THEREOF
A method for making an artificial turf, the method comprising: providing a carrier (308) and an artificial turf fiber (501) incorporated into the carrier such that a first portion of the artificial turf fiber (506) protrudes to a back side of the carrier, a second portion of the artificial turf fiber (302) protrudes to a front side of the carrier, and a third portion of the artificial turf fiber (504) is inside the carrier; preparing a polyurethane (PU) foam reaction mixture (210) containing a reactive foam stabilizer (RFS), applying the PU foam reaction mixture on the back side of the carrier (308) to cover the artificial turf fiber (506) protruding to the back side of the carrier (308) and hardening the PU foam reaction mixture to form a flexible PU backing securing the turf fiber in place.
COMPOSITE SHEET AND MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR A FOAMED DECORATIVE SHEET FREE OF PVC AND PLASTICIZERS
A composite sheet and a manufacturing process for producing a decorative sheet using the composite sheet are provided. The composite sheet has a base layer and a foamable layer bonded to the base layer. The foamable layer includes 100 parts by weight of a polyolefin material having an elastic modulus of <0.1 GPa, 0.1-10 parts by weight of a foaming agent, and 0-200 parts by weight of additives. The foamable layer has a thickness of 0.05 to 0.3 mm.
Method for preparing WPU synthetic leather foaming layers based on pickering foam template method
The disclosure provides a new method for preparing a WPU synthetic leather foaming layer based on a Pickering foam template method. The key of the method is to use the soft waterborne polyurethane as raw materials, add waterborne crosslinking agent and hydrophobic inorganic solid particles as Pickering waterborne foam stabilizers to obtain Pickering waterborne foam slurry of polyurethane latex particles through high-speed emulsification; and dry the slurry to obtain the waterborne polyurethane foam layer. The preparation process does not use any organic solvents, is clean and environmentally-friendly, and is simple to operate, making it easier to realize industrialized production. In addition, the Pickering foam has strong interface stability, which effectively solves the problem of difficult adjustment of the pore size caused by the accumulation and collapse of bubbles during the drying process of the mechanical foaming method, and the prepared synthetic leather foam layer has good hygienic properties.
Urethane resin composition and layered product
The present invention provides an urethane resin composition containing an urethane resin (A), water (B), and a film forming auxiliary (C), wherein the film forming auxiliary (C) is a polyethylene glycol (c1) and/or a polyethylene glycol (c2) having an alkoxy group having 11 or less carbon atoms. Further, the present invention provides a layered product having at least a substrate (i) and a foamed layer (ii) which is formed from the above-mentioned urethane resin composition. The polyethylene glycol (c1) and the polyethylene glycol (c2) preferably have a weight average molecular weight in the range of from 100 to 4,000. The urethane resin (A) preferably has an anionic group.
Percolative surface textured polymeric latex coating for a fabric supported glove and method of making
A latex dipped article, particularly a fabric supported glove which is flexible and fatigue resistant, comprising a fabric liner, with a shape of a hand. The fabric liner is coated with a foam polymeric latex material which is then treated with an aqueous silicone or non-silicon based surface active agent to facilitate the formation of percolative surface structure through bursting of bubbles in the foam layer and stripped off the excess polymeric material. Then the stripped material is removed gently by exposing to a flowing fluid which further enhances the texture of the percolative coating that results an excellent grip in dry, wet and oil environments.
Composite sheet and manufacturing method for a foamed decorative sheet free of PVC and plasticizers
A composite sheet and a method for producing a decorative sheet using the composite sheet are provided.
Method for producing recorded matter having three-dimensional image, device for producing recorded matter having three-dimensional image, and foam-promoting liquid
A recorded matter having a three-dimensional image is produced by a method comprising the steps of: applying, to a recording medium including a substrate and a foaming layer provided thereon, a foam-promoting liquid containing water and a foam-promoting component; and heating the foaming layer. The foaming layer contains a binder resin and a foaming particle which foams as heated, while the foam-promoting component lowers a foaming start temperature of the foaming particle. The foaming particle includes a shell layer containing a thermoplastic resin and a volatile material encapsulated in the shell layer. The binder resin contains a water-insoluble resin, while the foam-promoting component contains a compound having no hydroxyl group.
Polymer-aerogel/fiber and polymer-aerogel/textile composites and related systems and methods
The present disclosure generally relates to polymer-aerogel/fiber composite materials, polymer-aerogel/textile composite materials, and systems and methods for producing them. The gel material can comprise, in some embodiments, a network of polymer. The fiber and/or textile material can comprise at least one of any natural, synthetic, and/or mineral fiber. In some cases, certain combinations of materials, solvents, and/or processing steps may be synergistically employed so as to enable manufacture of materials suitable for use in apparel, soft goods, and other consumer applications which may benefit from the properties of a polymer-aerogel/fiber composite and/or the polymer-aerogel/textile composite.
Fabric with flow restricting core
A stitched fabric including a barrier layer; a yarn stitched through and forming stitch holes in the barrier layer, and a coating. A melted portion of the barrier layer fills a portion of the stitch holes. The coating occupies interstitial spaces between individual strands of the yarn to prevent a liquid from passing from one side of the stitched fabric to another side of the stitched fabric via the yarn.
